Girls Aloud have topped this Sunday's album chart, with 5th studio album 'Out Of Control'. The album sold 27,000 more, than it's nearest rival P!nk.Girls Aloud are celebrating after reaching #1 in the album chart this weekend with 5th studio album, 'Out Of Control'. It's the Girls' first studio album to reach #1, and is their second on the album chart, following The Sound of Girls Aloud in 2006.
The album opened it's first week on the chart with sales of 85,670, with #2 album 'Funhouse' by P!nk, last week's #1 selling 58,120. Out of Control was joined on the chart by the Woolworths exclusive 'Girls A Live' album which features tracks performed from the tours of Girls Aloud. 'Girls A Live' debuts this week at #29, over 20 places higher than last years exclusive remix album, 'Mixed Up'. The Sound of Girls Aloud also appears in the album chart at #53.
The Promise continued its strong performance on the singles chart on it's third week, with sales of 53,754, at #3.
