BONO IN THE BIG APPLE
Dublin’s rockbroker belt has been losing celebrities at an alarming rate. Last week, reports emerged that Bono himself might be about to leave his beloved Dalkey, the seaside suburb of the Irish capital. He is, but it’s only temporary. The U2 singer’s family are on their way to New York, where Bono, 48, owns a £10m flat that previously belonged to Apple’s co-founder, Steve Jobs. The move is reputedly to make it easier for his family to be close to him during a tour to promote the band’s new album. Bono’s Dalkey home will be occupied by a small army of security guards for the duration.
