The promo is great but I think a medley would be better to perform as performing a version of a song not available on the album doesnt make sense.

What if it is available on the Itunes download album or streaming album? smile.gif Its no co-incidence she shot a Slow video/shoot in Australia and then singing that song to choose as promo.......

Medley will come later no doubt.

Is the Slow version the version from Golden Live maybe.......

this is excellent promo. Its on release day, she will chat about both CDs, her BBC show will also be promoted.

She always does well from G Norton, its her kind of fan base

Could also sell a new glasses range though.... lol

Maybe if its added as the download version it will help streaming if attached on. I'm generally not a fan of new versions of songs, I know I'm in the minor as many people love the new versions of slow but for me I feel its the artists way of saying they are either bored of the original or they dint think the original was good enough. This new phase of artists doing reimagined versions of songs I dont like either as generally the songs arent a patch in the originals, 2 big faves of mine are take that and snow patrol and I dont like there new versions of songs and i was the same for most of kylies abbey road versions.

her Slow/Fashion version is quite good

To be honest she is only reinventing songs as its the Greatest Hits campaign

This is a tough call, the slow/fashion mix is good and has appeal.
However, such a mix or new version is likely to have no appeal outside the fanbase.
Kylie, when promoting needs to get the casual buyer invested in making the purchase and the best way for that, is reminding people of her actual hits.

Slow was number 1.

Any version of it still sounds like Slow. (plus maybe its the F9 remix version to tie in nicely with the 3rd CD added)

Its perfect for promo, its different than the usual medley she comes out with Love At First Sight/CGYOMH and All the lovers.

With the extensive bacl catalogue Kylie has to offer there is no need for her medleys to be any way repetitive.
Good point that you have outlined about Slow, it could potentially be the F9 version and it gives the fans the opportunity to see it performed.
That said, there is the fear it gives out a mixed signal to the casual viewer, that the Greatest Hits does not contain the original songs they may know.

I thought Kylie re-recorded a special version of slow and there was a video done recently in Sydney? I suppose it could be the f9 remix but I thought it was slow (reimagined)? If it’s a new version then it should have been included on the greatest hits rather than the mega mix.

i would think she will chat about the New 3 CD album and stick the new version of Slow on streaming channels as part of the album streaming. The video will be cool and it could go down a storm.

Wonder if we will get the new version of Slow on the 15th Nov........

the F9 mix of Slow is an Acapella version

i think G Norton will focus on Golden Live also and her BBC programme about what she means to fans etc will be promoted too. Her Greatest hits was already promoted on her show when first released so she will pack everything in this time.

Any kind of Montage of songs will help promote both CDs and there will no doubt be a Golden Live DVD clip to boost pre-orders.

22nd Nov is a good slot for G Norton seeing as Coldplay and Robbie could have been on instead as they release same day.

Kylie will certainly get a sales boost from on the show and hopefully there is clarity on the 2 releases so the viewers are aware.

More tv appearances (if more) will be announced soon so we will get a full picture of the promotion planned.

The Bowie mix of 'Slow' is fab, would love that to be performed and then released officially with a recreated video. I agree it's nice that one of her other big hits has been chosen rather than the usual suspects. I think 'Slow' is one of those songs people will recognise but will have forgotten about, so this is a great way of reminding them and makes it more likely they'll check out the greatest hits.

It could work if given the right push.

If Kylie takes this direction, that would be the song performed on all the promotion slots she has lined up.
