I've just started on New Zealand X Factor, didn't think it needed its own thread as I doubt anyone else is watching I am only watching because of Natalia Kills <3 So this is a thread for any shows you watch that aren't Big Brother or X Factor in a bigger country that you want to discuss!
I have watched episode 1 and Natalia is fab already <3 Cannot stand Willy Moon though, seems really up himself and pretentious...
So what random choices are you all watching? Seen any little news stories you want to share? This is the place.
I am surprised X Factor NZ is back, it's been off the air since 2013. I thought like Sweden they were back with Idol.
Idol hasn't aired since 2006 From what I've read it did well ratings wise at first but ratings just dropped i the 3rd season. And there's been virtually no commercial success, a bit like The Voice I suppose. Mind you Jackie Thomas (the winner of last season of XF) hasn't released a thing since her winning single and album! Hopefully they launch her properly on the live shows of this season, she was great.
ah that's great! Tbh I'm still on episode 2 oops serious catching up to do this week/weekend!
da fak? is she okay, oh well she killed her flop career.
Really horrible things to say there, can't believe a grown woman would even come out with that on a talent show like this.
My favourite youtube comment: 'isn't she being a hypocrite since she's trying to look like willy wonka, bitch sit down and go make more golden tickets'
DEAD
It's not even as if Willy's look is particularly innovative or artistic anyway...
I don't even get what point she was trying to make, that he dressed in a suit and combed his hair like that of the WIDELY RENOWNED Willy Moon? Just horrible behaviour, though I'm sure they are both loving the publicity.
Not watched the episode yet, but oh christ :/ Willy Moon has been horrible and arrogant since episode 1 but I did not expect that from Natalia I adore her music and enjoyed her as a judge thus far so I'm totally disgusted and very disappointed. He is in a suit with slicked back hair, did Willy Moon INVENT that look? Didn't think so. They've both had one hit in New Zealand, so idk who they think they are
Natalia did have an outburst on the final auditions episode (not that I've seen yet, i'm well behind and might just skip to the lives) apparently which was reported during filming but apparently that was because the contestant was rude, which is more understandable? This is not. I mean the guy wasn't singing Willy's song or copying his video - he just had similar hair :/ I'd never condone it, but I'd understand it a LITTLE more if he was singing Willy's song and really copied it (if Natalia didn't word it so horribly of course)...
Willy Moon was #26 in NZ in 2012. Definitely makes his opinion SO VERY IMPORTANT.
They've been sacked. Rightfully so, especially given they showed no remorse at all.
This week's results will jsut have Stan and Mel, and they're gonna get new judges for next week. I'd be shocked if they didn't get Ginny Blackmore tbh.
Liam, is there any way you could send me a link where I can watch X Factor NZ? I feel like I wanna see the results show...
Bullies, that's all they are. There are no word to describe their awful behaviour.
Apparently Annabel Faye (only vaguely know her name, meh) is taking over Natalia's role and Dan Smith of Bastille is taking over Willy's role
Gin Wigmore tho </3 And Ginny Blackmore.
Watched the whole show now, let's just say the talent level isn't as high as Aus Beau, Mae Valley and Finlay are leagues ahead of the rest, maybe Lilli too - Finlay was the best of the night. Still, her version of Chandelier has nothing on Reigan Derry's! I thought Stevie and Fare Thee Well were quite good, but not as good as the judges seemed to think.
...Or not. Saw rumours on Twitter and it was on Wiki (SO reliable, I know) but now it says TBA
Ginny Blackmore is perfoming her new single so fingers crossed for her stilll...
Natalia and Willy's replacements are officially announced as Natalie Bassingthwaighte and Sheldon Woolright!
Natalie is known internationally for her role as Izzy in Neighbours, as well as being the lead singer Rogue Traders, but she also had a solo career in Australia and is a (read: the best) judge on Aussie X Factor No idea who Sheldon is but he seems to be an English metal singer with a band who's had a couple of big ish albums and a few top 40/20 hits in New Zealand, so more relevant there than Natalia and Willy at least.
Okay so I had no idea who Willy Moon was before this incident happened...
Well that made me look him up so I guess it made him known...
Stunning
Janice Dickinson to enter Celebrity Big Brother in August:
http://www.dailymail.co.uk/tvshowbiz/article-3019965/Janice-Dickinson-set-enter-Celebrity-Big-Brother-house-inking-300-000-deal.html
Could happen possibly? Won't read too much into that.
What do you think?
I'm not gonna read too much into that because this is like the fourth year she's been rumoured and things never leak this early But as I always say, she'd be fab and I hope it is true.
Nyssa just followed me on Twitter and I'm freaking out rn.
(this is basically XF NZ thread for me oops)
Still too early for a CBB thread so I'll put the latest rumour in here: apparently they're planning a UK vs US series!
I've seen Imogen Thomas rumoured to re-enter this series, it's plausible I guess as she's kind of known for the sort of things that CBB love (ie f***ing a footballer), but she really wasn't that remarkable in BB7 Lovely, but nothing to go mad over.
The UK vs. US theme is a good idea, maybe. We all know how they are with their themes, Power Trip ruled the series and ruined it all on day 2 but Secrets and Lies was a bit damp and wasn't used enough.
http://www.digitalspy.co.uk/showbiz/s103/the-x-factor/news/a641189/louis-walsh-threatens-to-quit-the-x-factor-im-done-with-it.html
What a shame.... But he's said this so many times and never left, so we'll wait and see
I hope this time it is true.
I am probs the only one in the whole COUNTRY watching it but my god I'm livid at the bottom 3 in XF NZ this week :/ apart from the second eliminee. I hope Natalia Kills gets New Zealand tbh.
Ooh, just seen that Joe went That's surprising although I guess all that publicity has died down now.
He was absolutely TERRIBLE for the past couple of weeks (last week was one of the worst XF performances I have ever seen anywhere) so I am not at all surprised Last week he was lucky Stan was horrible to him, might have been some sympathy votes, he just got average comments this week really.
X Factor NZ is like the week 5 shock every bloody week, not here for this when my faves have been the victims (apart from Nyssa thank god!)
Claude will be replacing Nick on The Apprentice omg
Apparently Teen Mom's Farrah Abraham and TOWIE's Gemma Collins could be taking part in this summer's Celebrity Big Brother.
Must admit, I cannot wait to see him utterly destroy anyone that puts even a foot wrong, Lord Sugar will look sympathetic in comparison! *_*
James Hill (from last year's Apprentice) has apparently signed a deal for CBB this year.
PLEASE CAN THIS HAPPEN
American Idol has been axed! The 15th series in January will be its last with the same judges and host. It's not a surprise really, the ratings have dived and the winners' success rates are down too. I know the latter happens on The Voice too (9 seasons or whatever and the most they've found is Cassadee Pope who had one top 40 single) but at least that gets the ratings. I haven't watched since 2012 when Phillip won but it's odd to think of it being axed.
-----
Also because it's been a few posts, two unique finalists for X Factor New Zealand A beatboxer/rapper (although he does acousticy Ed Sheeran stuff at times and is good there) and a psychedelic sounding 60s band (plus queen Nyssa ), it'd be great if we could follow suit even if the band is a bit shit. It couldn't hurt the show, at least it'd make a change from all the usual ballad singers!
I'm glad they finally put American Idol out of its misery. Should've axed it after Mariah and Nicki's series.
Gah, end of an era I'm glad though, I'm still watching Idol but am much less invested in it now. Winning American Idol means pretty much nothing now so there's really no sense in continuing on.
TBH
SHAKING AND CRYING <3
Nyssa ROBBED, but a decent and unique winner for X Factor New Zealand. Gutted for Nyssa though, she absolutely killed everything thus week.
This was actuallt an interesting series, to see both Beau and the rock band who came 3rd come so far, even if the latter were crap. I'm interested to see whether our series opens up to bands too, Simon has mentioned changes so often.
Some alarming news yesterday regarding the news of former Big Brother 10 star, Rodrigo who is now Rebekah following a sex change.
http://www.mirror.co.uk/3am/celebrity-news/former-big-brother-star-rebekah-5802686
Dan Osborne is the latest strong rumour for CBB. I could believe that, he's one of those names that's not too big for the show but most of the core audience will know him. He'll make it a good series visually at least.
Other likely rumours, as a little round-up, include:
Jenna Jameson (porn star, before you ROLL EYES at her inclusion she is probably the most famous porn star ever)
Dapper Laughs (""""""comedian"""""""")
Stevie Richie (X Factor contestant)
David Gest (producer who was on I'm A Celeb and was married to Liza Minnelli)
Farrah Abraham (US reality star)
James Hill (The Apprentice contestant)
Keeley Hazell (model)
All believable imo, but we'll see. A few of these are recycled rumous anyway
Dan Osborne would be dull as f*** and you know it. Eye candy but dull.
OFFFFFFFFFT at the porn star.
Latest names for the summer series
Karen Danczuk
Dan Osbourne (TOWIE)
Chloe-Jasmine
Stevie Ritchie
Fatman Scoop (Rock The Clan!!)
Has anyone seen Jessie J and Delta Goodrem beefing on The Voice? Every small thing about Jessie J's personality reaaallly grates on me watching her on stuff like this, I'd forgotten quite how much that was the case... She is just awful, more concerned with getting herself attention than nurturing talent or anything.
Two more CBB rumours, both very believable, are Bobby Davro and Natasha Hamilton.
Natasha Hamilton I'd absolutely love to see her in CBB!
Seems pretty certain that an Irish entertainer called Twink will go in, rumours seem to think she'll be the TV3 pick to get Irish viewers but she's apparently a right c**t so will really cause drama meaning that C5 won't mind having someone unknown in the UK.
I won't be shocked to see Natasha Hamilton in there. Girl loves herself a reality TV show.
Steven and Kimberley from BB15 have split up, lol. That was only ever inevitable.
Nick Grimshaw and Caroline Flack have left X Factor, as the judging panel and presenters are being "shaken up". YAAAAAAAAASSS BYE CAROLINE. I wasn't that fussed either way on Nick, he was better than I expected but I'm not sure he was for these show. I think Rita will go back to The Voice when it goes to ITV but there's another XF series before that of course.
http://www.digitalspy.com/tv/the-x-factor/news/a784011/nick-grimshaw-and-caroline-flack-are-leaving-the-x-factor/
Not shocked about Nick going, thought for a while that Louis Tomlinson would end up replacing him this year! Expecting Olly to leave too, or be sacked. Thinking Rita will stay with X Factor rather than go back to The Voice but I guess she'll be persuaded by whoever offers more money :')
lolbye nick.
can we have dermot back plz.
Ant & Dec pls
They'll be in the jungle during XF!
Olly has quit as host too now! I thought it'd happen anyway, without Caroline and it wasn't a great series for him
Only because everyone was using him and Caroline as punch bags for changes to the show and had, for the most part, made their mind up about the show before actually watching it.
With hindsight, the shit he criticised for was hardly earth shattering. I just look forward to him coming back with album 5 later this year and proving everybody who said his career was 'over' wrong.
Olly just didn't work as a presenter on the main show imo. He worked well with Caroline on The Xtra Factor which was more lighthearted really but on the main show, I didn't think much of his presenting skills. He's a nice guy of course but it wasn't working out and I hope they get someone better for this year.
I think on the main show he just had too much pressure (Esp in the live show) He just didnt enjoy it you can tell. Worked better on XTRA Factor
It was a bizarre decision to employ someone who is not a presenter and put them in a position where there was a lot riding on it.
According to Dan Wootton the X Factor is renewed for 3 more series after the next series.
Fantastic!
I guess they want to keep it incase The Voice tanks.
Britain's Got Talent is staying until 2019 as well. Joy.
Yeah I think it's in case The Voice tanks, I can see them throwing everything at that for its first series on the channel and then if flops they'll probably just try really hard and really revamp X Factor? I mean the way ratings are going they really have to try something, I think maybe the fact The Voice has moved to ITV might be enough hype for the first series maybe, we'll see. I think people are just a bit fed up of these reality singing contests, although I still like to watch personally. I just take them less seriously for the most part, they're entertainment for me and I don't expect much from the contestants afterwards etc (although I can still get caught up in shock eliminations and hating contestants )!
I don't think it's a case of one or the other when it comes to The Voice or X Factor though, both are big ratings bringers and I expect ITV will have huge focus on both of them to ensure they stay that way! XF's ratings aren't what they used to be but they're still good and it no doubt makes a lot of money for ITV through the phone vote and advertising.
At the moment the last series of X Factor had better ratings than The Voice has now, and that says a lot.
By the way, for those who haven't seen it, there's a big X Factor alumni rate happening in the Little Mix forum at the moment, all the top 40 hits from X factor contestants!
http://www.buzzjack.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=188075&st=0
It's a but its probably a bit early to make a thread so I'll just put it in here. It seems as though there will be BIG changes to Big Brother this year. The extension to the house has been allowed and whilst it appeared to be a second house, Rylan suggested that it could be a task arena. He also said this:
OMGGGG!!!! That sounds epic!
Dermot and the room auditions are returning to X Factor
------
Also rumours for BB say that there will be a second house for ex All Star contestants, and they'll compete against the normal ones. For C5 "All Star" will probs be vile people from the C5 series but at least Helen is banned now
Are they basically gonna pretend like last year's changes never happened then?
YAAASSSS at Dermot being back!!! Though I was hoping queen would get promoted from xtra, but tbh having Dermot back is the smartest choice all round I think
Also this new BB format sound incredible! if it's just the channel 5 contestants Ashleigh Coyle, and Gina Rio back pls
Apparently Robbie Williams is close to signing a deal with ITV for one of their talent shows, so X Factor or The Voice PLEASE GOD NO.
I would expect Robbie for The Voice rather than X Factor really, I think the second male judge will be one of the Louis' - Walsh or Tomlinson. Watch as I'm totally wrong now :')
Oh gosh no. (well at least though that will mean half my family will be watching a talent show then and I'm not stuck by myself!)
According to digital spy, Louis could be coming back
I think Robbie is much more suited to X Factor.
I think he'd be way more suited to The Voice actually, considering that seems to go more towards the Radio 2 type audience, whereas X Factor is trying to stay relevant for the youth, something Robbie Williams just isn't these days.
Not be watching next series of X Factor - childish Dermot O'dreary's back
He seems like exactly the type of person Simon would put on the X-Factor panel. Can't say I'm thrilled about this one. Not a fan.
I would love a Simon-Cheryl-Dannii-Louis panel. Actually lets swap Nicole and Cheryl.
Cheryl has also quit the X Factor to focus on her music career.
looks like we're in for another revamp. Bring back Danni, and Louis, and Nicole pls Simon. Rochelle would also be acceptable for Cheryl's replacement
Really happy she's left (again) BRING BACK TULISIA and Louis Walsh <3
I have no idea who they'll bring back... I'd take Dannii as she seemed much happier on the UK version. As I've said a few times on here, she was horrendous on the latter series of her 3 series stint in Australia, and miserable at best on her second (I think she had personal problems or sth in that one so fair enough I guess if she wasn't at her best). For example, last year she had 3 of the top 4 favourites to win in week 1, by week 3 she'd lost one (Georgia) and completely massacred any chance one of the others had with song choices that were nothing less than totally unsuited (Mahalia)! The final one (Michaela) kind of had iffy song choices that she maybe just about pulled off but apart from once of the 5 weeks she was there. In fairness I'll give her Mahalia as she I just thnk was ultimately a bit crap and very limited, but of 15 song choices she had for all her girls, I'd say she got it right two times, maybe three. I had Michaela pegged as a winner and maybe the public didn't take to her but I think Dannii was just not a good mentor that season. As a judge too, she was very hypocritical which she wasn't in her first Aussie series and she certainly wasn't in the UK version! She'd preach about wrong song choices and the need for the acts to be artists when she had hers all over the place with awful song choices! She just didn't seem to be "in it" at all and that's what made her great on the UK version, she gave it her all and seemed genuinely passionate. If she's like that I can take her coming back.
I definitely think that they'll bring somebody back instead of a new judge entirely, with Dermot back and the return of room auditions it feels like they're trying to go back to a better time, realising that keeping the show "fresh" didn't really work as much as they'd probably hoped. It's still solid viewing numbers for them either way though.
(that was more of an essay than I wanted, oops )
I hope they don't see a Louis Walsh return as a ratings winner. Ratings have been getting lower for the past five series, four of which he was on. I don't think people care if he's on it or not.
I wouldn't be watching anyway, my complaints are more because of his arrogance and self-importance.
I don't think the introduction of ANY judge is going to be a ratings winner though. I think that's where they've been going wrong as they place too much importance on whose on the panel. I think, as long as Simon is there, it doesn't really matter who else joins him as long as they've got some form of personality. Look at Strictly and BGT, two shows that have been fairly consistent over the years and have had a fairly consistent panel. BGT suffered a dip when there were loads of changes.
I think Louis Walsh and Sharon Osbourne will be both back as rumoured in The Sun this week. Hopefully Rita will be replaced by Nicole Scherzinger or Mel B.
Good riddance.
I fully except Sharon and Louis will be returning. I also suspect that Rita Ora might switch back to The Voice, in which case I think Nicole Scherzinger could be a good replacement. If not, Kelly Rowland could be given a second chance. She works well with Simon (as seen on the US show) and actually knows what she's talking about.
Shame about Cheryl, she was great last series I think, but NEW MUSIC is what matters
I really hope they don't bring back too many people, I'm fully expecting Louis back but I'd rather some fresh judges. Nicole bloody Scherzinger can stay WELL AWAY.
Tulisa was honestly my favourite X Factor judge ever so I would love her back. I know it will never in a million years happen though.
In BB: Timebomb news, Harry Amelia is 5 months pregnant with Nick's child but they split earlier this year. Eek at her getting pregnant so quickly, I feel she's quite obsessive.
oops
Sam was also on Sex Box LOVIN LIFE.
So Tila Tequila happily celebrated Hitler's birthday yesterday and said she was soulmates with him and she's Hitler reincarnated or something....
Latest BB rumour is that the two houses will be filled with minor celebrities (Gogglebox stars, reality stars) along with the civilian housemates.
Really wouldn't be happy with that.
I wouldn't mind it, as long as the personalities are good I don't really care.
It kind of fits where they were going anyway, like last season having Eileen, Cristian, Marc, Sam, Harry etc., who had brushes with fame or the industry (Eileen in some horror films, Harry as an adult model or whatever, Marc on Tallafornia) it seems a sort of natural way to go. I agree though it would depend on the personalities. I'd rather have some wannabe in civillian BB who has an amazing personality than a boring person girl with an office job who has no personality, the same as I'd rather have an entertaining US star nobody really knows in CBB than the token boring soap star in their 50s.
So according to Dan Wootton, Rita has also quit.
Please please don't bring back Sharon and Louis!
Rylan seems to have basically hinted at the "civillian" BB full of minor celebs
http://www.digitalspy.com/tv/celebrity-big-brother/news/a793619/rylan-clark-neal-theres-still-going-to-be-a-big-brother-and-a-celebrity-big-brother/
I'm not that worried about it as long as they have good characters, like I said before anyway the way they had the likes of Marc and Eileen on there last year, they were kind of going that way. It's not like they're going to have a house full of people off TOWIE, I think it will just be like someone who was Love Island maybe, a few people who've been in the papers for drama/weird reasons etc., just people who they think have potential to be really interesting.
As for Rita leaving XF, it's a shame and I can see them going back to Sharon and Louis to recreate the old days, as the new fresh panel didn't work
Andrew Lloyd Webber seems to have confirmed Nicole Scherzinger had quit her role in Cats for an X Factor role. Meh.
Nicole is the only old judge I'd want back so I'm happy with that. I don't like the idea of them just going 4 steps back though, I don't think anything like this will return the show to its glory day ratings really so I'd rather have at least one new judge, especially over the tired old Sharon and Louis dynamic.
2013 was the best panel since the 2008-2010 golden days, so having 3/4 of that panel back would be good! Hopefully Simon works ok with Sharon/Nicole - I found Simon & Nicole really awkward on the US show and obviously it's been a while since Simon & Sharon were together.
X Factor Judges are confirmed:
Simon, Louis, Sharon and Nicole...
So so so so so so happy that's Nicole's back
I am really happy with that. Especially Louis being back, the show isn't the same without him and his mishaps
Least excited about Sharon - she is very hit and miss but I'm hoping it's more HIT this series.
I like the idea of them bringing back old judges, I think they're great choices.
the judging panel is already looking a lot better this year than last. I'd definitely take Louis and Nicole over Rita and Grimmy!!
I guess Sharon's okay too.
Wasn't huge on Nicole last time but will be going in with an open mind as I love the panel otherwise!
LOUIS AND SHARON
I'm kinda disappointed at that, glad Nicole is back but the Sharon and Louis dynamic is so tired now and Louis is just awful always. I don't mind Sharon on her own though so I guess it could be worse
Happy with that! The very first panel back together again Can give or take Nicole.
Matt Edmonson is presenting Xtra Factor. Apparently with Rylan so rumours say but I hope not, I like him on Big Brother's Bit On The Side but he's already on This Morning too and we don't want Emma Willis levels of overkill
X Factor AU appears to be going for 3 judges and a shorter season this year.
Oh I saw that, skipping JH is fine by me really as that's always my least favourite by having two new judges with Guy (Iggy and Adam Lambert are good catches though name wise etc) won't do anything to sort out the judge chemistry problem that they had last year. Last season was really subpar imo which was a shame after 2014 was one of my absolute favourites even compared the UK series heyday!
will.i.am is confirmed to be returning to The Voice when it moves to ITV in January, so he's the first confirmed coach. He's also the first confirmed coach for The Voice Kids.
Tom Jones is supposedly back too! *.*
Oh good! I hope they return to the 2015 panel. For me, that's been their best so far! Rita not being on X Factor will free her up to return as well.
No Ricky or Danny though PLEASE.
X Factor and BGT renewed for 3 more years!
!!!AMAZING REALITY TV WIN!!!!!!AMAZING REALITY TV WIN!!!!!!AMAZING REALITY TV WIN!!!!!!AMAZING REALITY TV WIN!!!!!!AMAZING REALITY TV WIN!!!
http://www.news.com.au/entertainment/tv/reality-tv/sydneys-kirsty-bennett-crowned-winner-of-australian-survivor-2016/news-story/72c446e5d559d27cf56a381cfa9b9136
I know probably none of you have watched Survivor Australia, but we have embarked on an AMAZING Reality TV Winner this year. Probably the best RTV Winner in 3+ years for sure.
Kristie Bennet won Australian Survivor last night in a landslide, unprecedented win. She won in a vote of 8-1 against one of the strongest players this year, Lee.
She survived 20 Tribal Councils, a record in all of Survivor and survived over 2 other tribes, despite not having the numbers in twibe swaps and merges.
Kristie came into power towards the end of the game with the power to draw in numbers to flip on power houses Lee and El who were favorites of the jury and pretty much guaranteed to win. Kristie stayed true to these two and despite not winning a single immunity, decided to go Toe to Toe with the strongest force this series - and it paid off in a big way. Kristie unexpectedly won the final Immunity Challenge and won the votes of the jury.
Kristie proved to be equally as popular with the public, Receiving over 60% of the public's support in a 4-way vote on who they'd like to win.
I know none of you have probably seen this season of Survivor - but if you have a spare long weekend, I'd highly suggest watching this season. Probably in the Top 5 Seasons of all times and Kristie would be in my Top 10 Winners of all times. I've watched Survivor since I was a kid, 31 Seasons now. But her win is something else and this season of Survivor Australia which returned after many years off the air is something else. Completely unexpected win, very rewarding. It would be like if Janelle/Vanessa/Paul from Big Brother merged into one and won Big Brother. I'm still in awe.
Danny Jones of McFly is the first name rumoured to join will.i.am. on The Voice Kids. Not a bad choice, better than Gavin Rossdale is for the main version anyway Watch the Kids panel be better than the main one.
Big Brother are said to be banning all reality stars to be in line with I'm A Celeb. Would be very happy if that's the case
Although I suppose it would mean we wouldn't get another Tiffany Pollard or Renee Graziano so I don't know.
I'd love that to be the case but Viacom love pushing their reality stars on the platform of CBB so I won't hold my breath about it being true :/
The rumour is that there is an All Stars vs new celebs series so no reality star would be perfect otherwise Bear would win again :/
I agree that I would hope that's the case, I'm particularly pleased that its the route that I'm a Celeb has taken! I won't get any hopes up though as they've said that before with the Perez series and we still got an Ex on the Beach star. I've also seen the rumours regarding the All Stars vs New Celebs series and names such as Bear and Jasmine Leonard have been thrown around. I can hand on heart say that if Bear returns, I will not be watching and I will be happily held to that
The last CBB was the worst one I've ever seen and the closest I've ever come to not watching, I didn't look forward to watching any of the episodes at all. I just hope we can see a return to the brilliance of the January edition.
There's no way CBB would introduce a no reality TV star rule permanently, the last cast was like 75% made up with them wasn't it?!
At least she's known I guess
Only 3 judges - Danny, Pixie and Will!
Mess at that being a vastly more appealing line-up than the main version
They should have got Danny on the main one rather than Gavin! Although McFly's recent tour might have clashed with filming i dunno.
Do Pixie and J-Hud have the same management because they're both on a Shell advert I always see on YouTube.
Next series of civilian Big Brother has been confirmed to be pairs/duos only as per their audition page on Facebook.
Not sure what I think of that, I can see them making it mostly couples
Also the first "confirmed" CBB housemate seems to Bianca Gascoine, which pairs with the rumour that Calum Best will be back, as they were a thing because of Love Island I think.
Xtra Factor has been axed in favour of an online spin-off. No loss really, I haven't watched for years and I think anyone who is an XF superfan and wants to follow the gossip etc. will be the sort who'd watch online anyway.
6 former X Factor contestants are the contenders in this year's UK Eurovision national selection, the most famous of which are Danyl Johnson and Lucie Jones who both competed in series six. So in case some of you X Factor fans don't dare step in the Eurovision forum, now you know!
The Cheeky Girls are being rumoured for this year's CIVILLIAN Big Brother
So, everybody's 9th favorite not-very-good reality show Dancing on Ice is apparently being talked up to be brought back.
And they say there's no new ideas in TV commissioning these days!
Dancing On Ice was such a guilty pleasure, but Sunday night TV is so shit that it just makes for something to watch after dinner I suppose. Most things seem good on a Sunday night
omg Joel from Big Brother Timebomb is now a councillor in Wales.
Ivana Trump rumoured for a return to Celebrity Big Brother according to reports.
!!!!!! @ both of those. I actually really liked Ivana when she was last on CBB I can't see her doing it again though?!
Abby Lee Miller from Dance Moms has just been sentenced to a year in prison for bankruptcy fraud and concealing money earned abroad.
the show's still a guilty pleasure to watch tho #oops.
Strictly Come Dancing announced Shirley Ballas as their new head judge yesterday.
ABC has revived American Idol after a year off our screens (originally it was on Fox ofc) Ryan Seacrest is in "advanced talks" to be the host again, and Kelly Clarkson is apparently ABC's top pick to be on the judging panel.
I'm definitely catching a stream of Strictly if SHIRLEY f***ING BALLAS is in it
Also Tyra Banks is presenting America's Got Talent now *.*
Scherzy allegedly stalling on her contract for this year's X Factor with Mariah (!!) and Mel B in talks to replace her.
Omg I love Mel B and would happily have her back but Mariah would be ICONIC !!!!!!!!!!!!
Mariah was a walking meme on Idol so it would be funny to see her on X Factor tbh
I'm not sure she'd do it but it'd be such an iconic hot mess, a real talking point like that could be what the show needs. It's boring with the same old judges, I like Nicole but the panel is just there as it is.
Katy Perry is the first confirmed judge for the Idol rboot. I'm sure that Randy bloody Jackson will be back, I think maybe they'll go for someone like Shawn Mendes or Charlie Puth also.
I can actually see Keith Urban coming back more than Randy Jackson if we're going with previous judges. They'll most likely get an Idol alum as the third judge most likely, I've heard rumors of Chris Daughtry doing it?
Jordin Sparks or Kathaine McPhee plz if it's gonna be an Idol alumni *.*
(Obv the dream is Carrie but she'd never do it)
Katharine won't do it since she's too busy with Scorpion. Jordin is a good shout though?
(In a perfect world we'd have Adam Lambert tbh)
Actually the reason why I'm here is because Dancing With The Stars Junior is going to be a thing
https://www.google.com/amp/www.tvguide.com/amp/news/dancing-with-the-stars-junior-spin-off/
Oh god NO not Adam Lambert, he was bloody awful on XF Australia but he's a good shout actually as he did say he loved the experience but all the judges hated each other, so he might well seek a better experience. I found him quite rude, he seemed to proper slag off any act that wasn't his to make his own look better.... And he chose Isaiah, who shouldn't have even made the top 3, over some AMAZING singers but there's no accounting for taste
Thank God Idol doesn't have that kind of mentorship (and the judges' save is only once per season if they bring that back and it must be done unanimously) because I'd hate to see that again.
First big CBB rumours are Sinitta (!!) and her "arch rival" Dawn Ward who's on Real Housewives Of Cheshire, never heard of the woman but apparently they hate each other
Taking bets now on what age she'll be claiming to be in the Press Release (I'm fairly sure she's been "39" for about 7 years minimum)
So according to the Sun, X Factor is planning a major revamp with six weekends of live shows only but with both nights featuring performances from each contestant as well as eliminations on both nights and star guests on both nights. So basically the same amount of live shows (a couple more in fact) will be condensed into half the time.
Also Honey G novelty acts will be "discouraged". We shall see... (I'm sure similar "drastic revamps" have come to nothing in the past)
I think I like that idea tbh, the 10 weeks of live shows drags a bit and this breaks it up while keeping it exciting. It might feel a bit rushed but I'm not mad at it, I think it's a better wa of cutting it down than what they did in 2015 with all the double eliminations.
I'm guessing cutting down the live shows to be broadcast over 6 weeks and having something worth watching on both Saturday and Sunday is a reflection of the general ratings slump all talent shows, not just X Factor, seem to be getting once they move out of the auditions round. I don't think it's going to save The X Factor by any means but it is a good way of adapting to people's viewing habits when it comes to talent shows.
I no longer have an interest in watching X Factor but, once upon a time, the live shows were the most exciting bit for me and I liked that we went on a journey with each and every contestant. Cutting down the weeks of live shows at that time would have spoiled the experience for me, but I suppose it doesn't really matter now since I no longer have that emotional connection with the show.
The "cutting down on joke acts" thing remains to be seen. It does and has ruined the credibility of the show - may have been a bit of laugh when Chico, Jedward and Wagner were making it through week after week back in the day, but it got real tired real quick - although I suppose it depends on how much attention they bring to the show and how much money the show can make from the media talking about these acts. Just a matter of whether the pros outweigh the cons.
Sadly I'm sure they've said a few times they're cutting back on joke acts yet we've still had to endure Rylan, Reggie & Bollie and Honey G
ffs Stephanie Davis is having a SECOND child with Jeremy McConnell. The news has just come out after she has been arrested for assaulting him
CBB17 is my favourite CBB series but, crikey, wtf has happend since then
Omg she is such a mess ffs
In a v random post series twist of affairs, Lotan of BB18 is dating Stacy Francis from the CBB series before this
Luke Bryan and Lionel Richie announced as the next two Idol judges for the upcoming revival. Meh.
Apparently Channel 5 are planning a female only CBB series with "strong opinionated woman instead of no mark reality TV girls", using Germaine Greer as an example... Greer is FOUL so no thanks at anyone like her. Idk what to think, female housemates are generally better as huge characters but i don't want a whole series of Loose Women type people who think they're right all the time
Apparently ITV are planning The Voice OAP christ.
Rodrigo from Big Brother, now known as Rebeckah Shelton, has died
Such sad news
Omg she's not dead Someone must have hacked her or something she's just posted a video saying stop believing I'm dead someone wants to ruin my life.
Oops Brendan has been axed from Strictly
https://www.thesun.co.uk/tvandshowbiz/5951253/cowell-starts-x-factor-revamp/
Scherzy has been axed from the X-Factor which is obviously to make way for Cheryl, with Sharon and Louis also probably going Rumoured new judges include Alesha Dixon, Kylie Minogue, Craig David, Louis Tomlinson and Mariah Carey.
My prediction is Cowell, Cheryl, Louis and Alesha
It really does need an overhaul, Sharon and Louis weren't terrible but the panel got quite dull and predictable.
Alesha on BGT *and* XF might be a bit much but of those names she's the most realistic and I do like her. Mariah would be AMAZING but idk if she'd do it after the Idol car crash
"Louis has been fired from the show twice, only for close pal Cowell to reverse the ruling. But his decision to take part in a Specsavers drive highlighting his hearing loss has been seen as a bridge too far."
Well it isn’t exactly a good look for the show when one of its judges is basically stating he can’t hear the singing...
...not that he judges on the singing anyway
Any changes won’t do anything anyway, the show is in the position it is in now partly down to too many changes in too few years. It just needs to find out a way to stablise at a solid ratings level.
Hi.
Speaking about The Voice, I really loved the season in which Adam Levine, Blake Shelton, Shakira and Usher were judges. They were so funny and it was very entertaining to watch. This was the one in which Christina Grimmie participated. She was my favourite and had chosen Adam as mentor. It was perfect.

What a f***ing disgusting individual
im howling, i was watching a video of Owen Jones being surrounded by far right activits and Carole from Big brother pops up to his rescue
anyone watching celebs on the ranch? so set up, camp and OTT but so so funny
ITV has picked up The Masked Singer for a 2020 series - saw that coming
If you haven't seen anything of the US version, it's a bunch of celebrities who sing in masks and we don't know who they are at first. We get clues and have to guess from that and their vocal, it was actually quite entertaining! If it's not just the usual TOWIE alumni and X Factor rejects, I think it could be quite good as it was really fun on the US version to guess who they were (they had some big ish names like T-Pain, Latoya Jackson, Gladys Knight, Ricki Lake and Donny Osmond).
https://globalnews.ca/news/6168310/survivor-metoo-moment/
Survivor in the US is making headlines again with this season. I actually wasn't going to tune in, but the show was trending the the last 24 hours so I've caught up.
Very complex situation with a lot of very complicated layers. Really this all starts to take place over the last 2-3 episodes, with the plateau last night.
This isn't something I've seen on a show like Survivor before, you see it more frequently on Big Brother where contestants live constantly together 24/7. Survivor isn't like that at all. But I really appreciate the dialog over the last few episodes. They've really captured a lot of very unique perspectives all at once (I'm also speaking about the Racism and Sexism in the previous two episodes).
It would be a smart thing for Survivor to end on a high, the next season is the 40th and only previous winners are taking part, but I think all of this really catapults Survivor back into the spotlight so I think they will keep this going for a while to come.
^Hope so. The rest of this season's gonna be a struggle to get through now, and I've seen plenty of "I'm not watching anymore" comments but they're quite lucky next year is Season 40 which should help the show recover. I agree the editors especially have done an amazing job portraying the whole thing, difficult as it was to watch.
X-Factor auditionee Aerial Burdett who called Cheryl "stupid" has died

I've recently discovered the Real Housewives franchise and I am STANNING Beverly Hills, New York, Atlanta and Potomac. So good
I only saw those 4 so far. I'm halfway season 1 of Potomac and it's quite good
Beverly Hills has such pitty drama and VanDerPump leaving sure's gonna reduce drama but I enjoy seeing the richness etc. Erika is 100% my fave.
New York was good, but I havent finished it yet as I got bored halfway through
Atlanta was FIRE, but the drama has become quite stale. Porsha carries that show on her back.
Im planning on wathcing New Jersey next
Awesome you're enjoying it so far, I've only started watching in the last 3 years.. So like you a lot to get caught up on.
I went: New York, Beverly Hills, Orange County, Potomac, Dallas, New Jersey & Atlanta. Atlanta I only finished within the last few weeks. However, Dallas and Potomac I've only seen the last two seasons.
I love Erika and am sad Vanderpump left..
I recommend Vanderpump Rules when you're done. Does tie in with BH lightly but stands on its own.
Kevin Clifton has announced he's leaving Strictly, can't say I'm surprised as I lowkey thought he might go out on a high when he won with Stacey.
Amid COVID-19 and the announcement that Real Housewives of Potomac will be delayed, I've decided to watch New York again from the beginning. I've firmly decided it's my favorite franchise. Two of my all-time favorites come from this franchise as well.
Just hitting the Season 3 Reunion now. What a season.
I saw Woody on Gogglebox last night and somehow that's prompted me to watch all the highlights of the most recent series of The Circle :') I've always thought the idea was a good one but never got round to watching it, should definitely get more into it!
Denise is an absolute QUEEN. That SMIRK gets me everytime.
It's not clear to me still who the cease and desist went to? Brandi Glanville or Bravo?
The reunion was filmed yesterday, and Lisa Rinna spoiled the following on her Instagram: “Reunion was bullshit today, I’ve never said that in 6 years. I guess cease and desists work."
*.* DENISE DID THAT
Naya Rivera being a guest judge on the new season of Sugar Rush
Okay I randomly stumbled upon Gordon Ramsey's Kitchen Nightmares clips on YT yesterday and might've spent more than 5 hours watching them. That show makes me so happy :')
Would there be interest in a BBUK ultimate rate or something of the sort?
5 years today. :')
This underrated season! Sukhvinder was such an icon <3
Sukhvinder was everything, so annoyed at her leaving! She would e done well.
My favourite C5 era series I think! Civilian anyway. The Gina Rio series comes close though. The amount of drama, the divide as well as really amazing housemates in Chanelle, Isabelle, Deborah, Hannah and Raph. Even Sue and Symone had their own annoying charm!
I had to unfollow Sukhvinder on Twitter because her Trump-apologist views are just not it she was one of the best things about that series though!
Deborah running up the stairs during fight night will never not make me HOWL though
I forgot how much I loved Stacy on this series
To be honest it isn't representative of what Big Brother fans want at all. They should've got the current Celebrity BB in the US that's airing!
A new reality competition show, titled The Traitors, is coming to Peacock and includes a line-up of former reality stars.
According to Inside Survivor sources, Fields and LaGrossa are two of the 20 contestants involved in the upcoming show, which is hosted by The Good Wife star Alan Cumming. Based on a Dutch format, the series is set in a remote castle in the Scottish Highlands and sees some of reality TV’s best game players competing in a game of alliances, deception, and even “murder” for a chance to win up to $250,000. The show will be called 'The Traitors'
Rumoured Casting:
Cirie Fields (Survivor)
Stephenie LaGrossa (Survivor)
Rachel Reilly (Big Brother)
Brandi Glanville (Real Housewives)
Kate Chastain (Below Deck)
Cody Calafiore (Big Brother)
Kyle Cooke (Summer House)
Ryan Lochte (Dancing with the Stars)
Arie Luyendyk Jr. (The Bachelor)
Reza Farahan (Shahs of Sunset)
Omg Kate Chastain!!! I've been dying to see her in a new reality show.
omg they’re making a UK version as well, hosted by Claudia Winkleman also filming in the Scottish Highlands. The show is essentially Mafia which is iconic - Buzzjack did it first!!1!
They won’t match Pting Mafia
So it’s basically The Mole meets Murder in Small Town X.
Can’t wait this is going to be so camp, both the US and the UK Version.
That looks good but ugh I hate Johnny Bananas - so thirsty and annoying. The american Stephen Bear
Another random RTV Show is under development with Amazon. A few notable cast members:
Da’Vonne Rogers (Big Brother)
Wendell Holland (Survivor)
Kristen Doute (Vanderpump Rules)
Reza Farahan (The Traitors)
Alyssa Edwards (RPDR)
Tayshia Adams (The Bachelorette)
Jill Zarin (RHONY)

The Magic Mike and True Blood star will guide contestants through a season-long contest to win the biggest prize in Deal or No Deal history. Rumour has it casting will be similar to The Traitors (Reality Stars, Celebs) one of the first names rumoured is Boston Rob.
Netflix has a “Challenge”-Esq show in development with contestants from The Mole, Squid Games, The Circle and Too Hot To Handle.
Hosted by Taylor Lewan filming now in Mexico. There are a few names floating around including Shubham.
Peacock has a dating show in development (similar to Ex On The Beach maybe?) where Reality TV “Couples” will decide if they want to pursue a relationship, or someone else in the House (or island, or wherever this is going to end up filming…)
Blue/Jared and Reilly/Matt (Big Brother 25) as well as Joseph/Ameerah and a handful of Love Island contestants are all rumoured.
Aaron from The Traitors UK 1 is on this season of Love Island USA.
The Mole is back end of this month, so so underrated! The last Netflix series was such good viewing.
Omg that is like thw trsitors but with more meat to it!
