Chloe was as trashy fabulous as I knew she would be - she's going to be amazing for the show! And Nathan was a mortal mess as I knew he would be I've never seen him in a decent state in my life.

For the record I'm a geordie and know most of them in a sense haha

I have to say, I don't think the show lost its way without Vicky or James and was still entertaining to watch. Scott disappearing for a few weeks was odd, but Chloe and Nathan were better additions to the cast than I was expecting!

MTV have confirmed that on January 12th and 13th a two-part special documenting the journey of Geordie Shore from the beginning will be shown featuring clips from all series, interviews with the cast and an insight into their lives away from the show.

(and Vicky has joined the Loose Women panel starting from January 6th! )

To celebrate the show being on air for 5 years, 'The Big Birthday Battle' will commence on May 10th straight after Series 12 comes to an end. All of the current cast will return as well as Dan, James, Jay, Kyle, Ricci and Sophie.

Chantelle never really did properly seem to fit in and she was never very funny either, she wound me up with the whole love triangle thing really so glad to see the back of her. She's probably the worst cast member since Greg in Season 1

It's going to be odd without Charlotte from now on but I'm still expecting it to be a lot of fun. Sophie has always been great too so I'm hoping she'll provide the laughs.

Ah poor Chantelle, she's never really fitted in at all and doesn't provide the laughs like the rest of the cast so won't really be that to see her go tbh.

I really hope Chloe doesn't get kicked off completely though, she's probably the funniest there and will be sorely missed like Charlotte (and Holly if she leaves too) for me.

Five newbies now? The cast is mainly what has made it so watchable and enjoyable for so long. Charlotte was a huge loss and Holly and Scott are just a tier below her in terms of popularity. If they lost Gaz it probably would be the end but not sure what the ratings are going to be like with this new series, expecting a steep drop. At least we still have Aaron I do like Marty and Marnie too!

Omg, I actually cried at Holly leaving, I really don't want her to go. It's been amazing watching her grow up from a purple haired 18 year old to the way more mature woman she is today. She's definitely been one of the realest cast members on the show and she seems so genuinely lovely, it'll be sad not watching her every week anymore

Just caught up on the first episode and although I am still tuning in, it does feel the show has lost its magic. It's hard to enjoy when everything feels SO manufactured now, who refers to someone as 'my BEST FRIEND Sarah' or 'my COUSIN Sophie' three times in one night I think I just watch now because the boys are rly hot and Chloe occasionally says something funny... Zahida seems like she could be a fun mess though so I hope they do choose to keep her!

You are right, you can definitely tell it's all forced/scripted more so than you used to be able to, but it has its moments still! That fight between Chloe and Zahida was a laugh

I don't really like any of the newbies aside from Zahida (she was fab on Ex on the Beach too) so I really hope she is chosen! The rest are all kind of irritating, that Abbie is so desperate to be on the show, she's even outright saying she'd do anything to be a part of the Geordie team and basically everything she says is a catchphrase already created by someone else in the cast Billy seems like an idiot (at least the current boys have a bit of heart) and Eve seems sweet but doesn't really seem a good match for the show. Excited fo see what the new Italian girl is like though !!

They do need some fresh blood though because even the oldies are becoming unlikable now, Sophie is very immature and I used to love her back in the day and Gaz just seems too old to be there now I think Aaron or Marty may be my favourite currently.

I used to love this show but yeah it just seriously lost its magic.

It’s funny now that when the cast members go out around Newcastle now nobody even cares we used to go crazy for them a few years ago.

Amelia doing this show though is surprising!

I used to love it too but it kinda lost momentum after Vicky left tbh, it stayed decent for a few seasons but basically once Marnie & Aaron had left on top of just losing Gaz it was just like “eh who cares anymore”.

It’s one of those shows where in the beginning it was great fun different etc. But it’s just the same old same old now but with more of a scripted feel to it.

Where the likes of TOWIE and Made In Chelsea have also gone down hill there’s enough difference on those shows where as GS they all live together as well so we only really see the worst of them but it gets bland after a while.

So for anyone still watching, the current series started last month which was filmed in the early summer where clubs were still closed. The producers have angled a Love Island type series where several single people are entering and leaving the house to have dates and form relationships with the current cast. Beau has left the series whilst Marty returns in episode 4. Amelia is absent from episode 1 as she was still touring with S Club at the time.

The Reunion series is well under way and it's really good to have so many cast members back. A shame Gary and Vicky didn't come back but there's plenty of drama that has happened between the cast. You'd probably needed to have seen Geordie OGs and The Charlotte Show too really to fully grasp where everyone is at.

I’ve been watching the Reunion Series and it’s been very enjoyable so far . I do wish the likes of Gaz and Vicky showed up but I get why they wouldn’t . I hope they keep the focus more so on the originals/big characters rather than the newer people that no one cares about

A good mix of them on that holiday in Portugal. Chantelle continues to be iconic and I'm glad she agreed to turn up for more than just the first night. Louis will probably kick off next week over further drama with Ant and the rest of them supposedly not supporting him when he broke his jaw.

A part of me thinks would they really have gone as far as faking the drama between Chloe and Bethan but then that's a really personal matter for them to get messed up with if none of the falling out was true.

Another season of this is being filmed with mainly just the originals from the Reunion.

Charlotte confirmed there will never be a season where they all used to live in a house together for weeks on end again, they are doing a similar format to the reunion.

Talia recently posted a photo of their son for the first time and revealed he has Apert Syndrome. What a cute little guy, so nice to see all the support in the comments, especially from the Geordie lot.

I do wonder when this is going to air. Nice that the families will be appearing but I can just see MTV completly putting focus on the argument which is understandable to draw people in but I hope there's more of the dynamics we'd come to see in the Reunion as it felt refreshing. Charlotte is very honest and open here and is just completely human in her response to what happened and how she felt she needed to leave. The show has and always will be an intense period of time for the participants

So we're back. Is the whole thing on Paramount+? I don't have it so I'm going to have to watch weekly at MTV pace. I'm quite surprised at who returned, it feels like the classic series all over again and it really works a lot better catching up with everyone across the country/meeting up instead of just in that damn house all the time

The 'coming soon' clips of the holiday just looks like major drama (even though we already know some of it anyway).

Another series would be interesting. I do wonder how much more life this really has though, finishing at 25 series would be a nice end but this current one already feels a little past its use by date!

I've actually been enjoying this season tbf but Geordie Shore Family Reunion was better. I just loved seeing so much more Holly and Charlotte.

It also appears Marnie & Sophie have properly fully fallen out as they unfollowed each other on social media.

Holly & Marnie also unfollowed each other.

Charlotte also said recently she is done with Geordie Shore.

GAZ Beadle will be returning to MTV's Geordie Shore now that he has split with his wife of two years, The Sun can confirm.

After meetings with TV bosses, the 35-year-old has signed up to go on the big cast trip to Thailand and it seems that everyone is eager to welcome him back.

A source said: "The bosses are trying to keep Gaz's return under wraps but the whole cast are so excited about him coming back they can't stop telling everyone. The next cast trip is to Thailand and it's going to be amazing.”

Having announced his separation from his wife Emma McVey, 31, with whom he has two children, Chester, five and Primrose, three, the couple are now in the process of divorce, after just two years of marriage.

Now that his family man days are behind him, Gaz is keen to get his reality TV career back on track.

The source added: “Gaz's wife Emma was never keen on him being on the show but now he's single it's the perfect time to return."

Gaz was part of the original Geordie Shore lineup when it hit screens in 2011. After leaving in 2017, he then starred in two series of the spin-off show Geordie OGs.

In 2020, he announced he was quitting for good, to settle down and start a family with Emma, having reportedly earned over £4 million.

But last year the Geordie Shore franchise lost one of their key players when original cast member Charlotte Crosby 33, stormed off the set in Cyprus, where the show was being filmed.

Having entertained audiences for 12 series with her outrageous party girl behaviour, MTV bosses are said to be hoping that Gaz can restore the magic of the earlier episodes and keep the viewers tuning in.

A source said: "The show knows that the loss of Charlotte is a big blow, and to keep things fresh and exciting going forward, they set their heart on bringing Gaz back into the fold.”

The star is currently living it up in a Thailand villa with her co-stars shooting for the upcoming 25th series of the show.

A source told us: “Marnie coming back was an eleventh hour decision by bosses, as they were worried the new series didn’t have enough drama.

"The producers were really annoyed with the way Marnie left the show and slagged off the way the last series was edited, but when they got to Thailand to film the new series, they quickly realised something was missing.

"The last series was full of drama but a few days in, they became concerned that there wasn’t going to be any conflict, especially coupled with the high profile departure of Charlotte Crosby.

"As a result, they decided to reach out to Marnie and manage to thrash out a last minute deal.

"She isn’t getting on with Sophie Kasaei, and the pair still don’t follow each other on instagram, so they want to capitalise on all that fall out.”

Marnie cut ties with Sophie and Holly Hagan.

Honestly, Holly is my favourite and has been for years!
