Glad it wasn't just denied by the deduction but that deserved much better, really nice ballad - it was only my 1 pointer but that's more than I usually give entries like this (and Ojnoj entries in general)!
edit: and likewise Scotland 2 not being affected by the deduction, hope they will still vote in the final. That was my 10 pointer.

Holland-Oats were initially my 1 pointer but then got knocked down a bit after relistening, shame they couldn't return with a qualifier though. Does not sound too dissimilar from his work with his more famous band x
Kylienips are the third of my votes to drop out, got 2 points from me - I guess I can see why it might not stand out the most but thought it was a good Grimes-meets-PinkPantheress esque banger, aw.

Qualification streak top 10/11 as at BJSC 164 (underlined nations had matched or beaten their longest streak to date as at BJSC 161, streaks that are longer when counting nonconsecutive participations ('broken streaks') are in italics where applicable):

If broken streaks are counted, the only other ones above 7 I know about are Cadelicia on 10 and Quintessa on 9, so even when combined with Taahino's 8, the other four nations on 7 remain in the top 10.

Like I don’t know how I’m supposed to feel about this or how to put it into words
It’s a mixture of things, like I haven’t been feeling any of the semis the past few months vs maybe a year ago where I’ve left listenthrougs thinking “omg this is the best thing I’ve ever heard!!!” so the burnout has been there, and these results really deflated me and made me feel disillusioned with the whole thing. I kinda hoped that some people would find that it was a good discovery for them but the numbers don’t lie so I’m left feeling kinda empty, as if I haven’t really contributed anything to the contest lately (other than being a whipping boy which like… 😵💫😵💫😵💫)
Not sure where else to go tbh, if I feel like I found something that I absolutely need to send I might go for it and muster up the energy to do it but it may be curtains for me 🤷♂️

I know I am only 3 contests in, but for me that would be a shame. It's good to have songs like yours in the contest.
I've not heard anything yet that I would listen to over and over. but I am enjoying hearing songs I would never had heard otherwise. I have found that semi final allocation impacts your results (I scraped into my only final and then got a lot more votes in the final!). That being said, I found this semi hard to take (I'm not sure if I should be offended that one of the songs in particular not only qualified over mine, but also qualified over 11 songs that I would have voted for over it....)

Naaah, you shouldn't... if something stands out then there's a chance that it finds both its fans and haters. In semi 2 my 31st qualified, while in semi 1 2 of my bottom 3 qualified. Sometimes some of these entries even make the top 10 in the end.
In the end, as there are no minus points, you can give the exact same amount of points to your 11th fave and to the 'song' that would make your torture playlist.
Poor 2x btw, I guess it's really not that instant. (Still love it, definitely my top entry this year - and just as Harve said, it's not me, it's you. xx )

It’s a mixture of things, like I haven’t been feeling any of the semis the past few months vs maybe a year ago where I’ve left listenthrougs thinking “omg this is the best thing I’ve ever heard!!!” so the burnout has been there, and these results really deflated me and made me feel disillusioned with the whole thing. I kinda hoped that some people would find that it was a good discovery for them but the numbers don’t lie so I’m left feeling kinda empty, as if I haven’t really contributed anything to the contest lately (other than being a whipping boy which like… 😵💫😵💫😵💫)
Not sure where else to go tbh, if I feel like I found something that I absolutely need to send I might go for it and muster up the energy to do it but it may be curtains for me 🤷♂️
I think I'm being a bit much by having a wee tantrum for getting single-digit points and then the following post for the same scenario completely outstages me.

Yep, well according to https://i.imgur.com/MzNUyOa.png your record Q streak was 8 - up to BJSC137. I guess you may have beaten it since though?

8 is still Harmonica's record indeed - sorry again for the continuing lack of full Q streak updates, I've got a couple of months behind with updating my spreadsheet again so need to find a couple of hours to focus on getting it back up to date again soon whoops.

Not too bad results from semi 2 lost my 3 & 1 pointers (Suedeonia & Cor Lupus respectively) but then Sovarasma & Aesthetica I had ranked 11th and 12th so could have grown in the final week.
However semi 1 dint go so well. I had earmarked 13 songs I liked and 5 of them were booted out...
But nice to qualify to keep the 2024 quali streak in tact for now.

Not necessarily! I think a few countries have won YTD despite a DNQ, Aeroche I think did in 2016 pipping Yehesi & Pupok to the post iirc?
At least Yobnedorica qualified

Bit late to the party but from SF2 I've only lost 1 song from my points finshers:
1 Land of DW // Mathea - 2x
Also sad to see Kyriatine, Skall and Altyr to DNQ. They were all between 11th-14thin my list - just missed out on points
