Sandebörg is proud to announce the representatives for the forthcoming Buzzjack Song Contest, to be held in Botanikka.

Norlie & KKV will perform the song Tröjan Du Hatar in the second semi final. Sonny Fahlberg (Norlie) and Kim Vadenhag (KKV), are a hip hop rapping and singing duo, originating from the Swedish speaking region of Sandebörg. Sonny Fahlberg is 'extremely proud to be the nation's first representative' at the popular contest.

Tröjan Du Hatar literally translates into English as 'The Sweater You Hate'.

Ayah Marar for BJSC XLIVe!

After an expected, yet still disappointing DNQ for Sandebörg last month, STV would like to announce that Ayah Marar will represent the nation at BJSC XLIVe, being held in Numayania, with the song Mind Controller. Ayah is from South East London in the United Kingdom and is thrilled to be taking part in BJSC.

Ayah collaborated with Yogi on the track Follow U in 2011 and is about to launch her solo career, with an album expected in summer 2012.

Michael S. to Elëdan for Sandebörg!

After last month's exciting contest in Numayania, when Ayah Marar took Sandebörg to the final for the first time with the track 'Mind Controller', STV can announce that Michael S. will be the country's representative at the 45th Buzzjack Song Contest in Elëdan, with the song 'Rewind'. STV are hopeful for a second qualification, but with strong competition, anything can and WILL happen!

Posted by: AdamAloud 7th August 2012, 01:52 PM

Nätverket will represent Sandebörg in Aeroche

Swedish underground dance team Nätverket are Sandebörg's 5th representatives in BJSC. They will sing STHLM, an upbeat dance song with an extremely catchy chorus all about Stockholm, the capital city of Sweden. Stockholm is also the twin city of Sandebörg capital Sandstad. STV hope they can bring the country's 3rd qualification to the final, after last month's Sandish entrant Hyper Heart narrowly missed out on the final, finishing in 16th place in their semi with the alternative track 'Eris'.

JUBILATION ACROSS SANDEBÖRG AS JOHN DE SOHN AND KRISTIN AMPARO BRING HOME SECOND PLACE!

After a night of tense and exciting voting, Sandebörg secured 2nd place at the 53rd Buzzjack Song Contest in Batidas with 169 points. Swedish DJ John de Sohn and Kristin Amparo sang the Sandish dance smash, 'Dance Our Tears Away' and brought the country's first top 10 finish at the contest. First place went to Carli from #00274E, with another dance track, 'Look Up', with 199 points.

'Dance Our Tears Away' had already topped the Sandish charts for 2 weeks in March before being selected as the country's representative.

10th for Sirah in Trifoski
Sandebörg are celebrating their 2nd top 10 finish at the Buzzjack Song Contest tonight after the country's representative Sirah finished 10th. 'Inhale' received 108 points including 4 sets of 12 points. The country has been enjoying great success at the contest this year, after appearing in 6 of the 7 finals. John de Sohn remains the country's best performance at the contest, after 'Dance Our Tears Away' finished 2nd back in April.

Välkommen till Sandebörg!
Welcome to Sandstad, capital of Sandebörg and to this, the launch of our 40th BJSC anniversary celebrations! Yes, we're about to enter our 40th consecutive contest, which we feel is something to celebrate! So, our national broadcaster (STV) have organised a few special somethings!

To start with, STV have been running an online poll in which Sandish residents have been able to vote for their favourite foreign entry since our debut back in XLIII, with Norlie & KKV and 'Tröjan du hatar'.

The top 40 entries will be counted down in this thread, starting VERY SOON! The top 10 of that list will feature on a triple CD collection released on 19th February and will also feature all 40 Sandish entries to date! The tracklist has already been confirmed

Down with The LIPS. Up with Lo-Fi-Fnk. That is all.

Posted by: Riser 5th February 2016, 04:15 PM

Only know a handful of these but This Could Be Paradise, Blue Eyed Girl, and Get It On are all massive faves and there are several more that I really like biggrin.gif I can't stand The Big Bang though, soz.

Posted by: Cody Lightwood 5th February 2016, 05:32 PM

Here for Nico & Vinz tbh

Posted by: AdamAloud 5th February 2016, 07:33 PM

40. Haloo Helsinki! - Maailman Toisella Puolen - FSR Rontvia XLV

Perhaps a random track to start with, we go back to 2012 and this slice of Finnish pop rock. I remember this contest having quite a lot of brilliant foreign language tracks and Haloo Helsinki! was right up there as one of the best.

39. Laleh - Colors - Altyr Muunilinst LIX

Alty Muunilinst know how to send a fantastic scandipop banger and Laleh is no exception. I think this could've been a big hit in the UK had it been pushed here.

38. Paulina Rubio - Boys Will Be Boys - Yuxhaaq XLIII

This Shakira tribute act was my first 12 points in the contest! The latin pop stormer had a revival when Paulina was selected to be a judge in the 3rd series of the American X Factor and she did a high energy mimed perf of the track.

37. tyDi ft. Kerli - Something About You - The Actual Republic of Bellamia LVII

Whilst we're not a fully fledged member of the dancebloc, we are partial to a bit of it and Bellamia sent this bop of a track from tyDi featuring BJSC and Estonian darling Kerli, giving them their highest placing in the contest.

36. Maria Mena - f*** You - Unovia LIV

f*** you. What a simple yet brilliant chorus it makes.

Posted by: AdamAloud 8th February 2016, 03:24 PM

35. ISA - Bomb - #00274E XLVI

Before she became a Buzzjack fave doing Taylor Swift karaoke in Melodifestivalen 2015, ISA popped up with this explosive pop tune for #00274E three years earlier.

34. Indila - Dernière danse - Daehun LXI

Nothing beats a good powerful French chanson every now and then.

33. Awa - Obvious - Altyr Muunilinst LXXVI

This perfect blend of soul and pop makes for an effortlessly cool song, something I hope Awa gets on with doing more of.

32. Carli - Look Up (Original Mix) - #00274E LIII

The winner, from in my opinion, the best BJSC contest ever. Not least because it was the best result for Sandebörg, but the quality of entries was so unbelievably high, that this was the perfect winner.

31. Alina Devecerski - Flytta på dej - Tinnmark XLV

I can't believe this song is 4 years old already. I have fond memories of this as it around this time that I was really getting into the fantastic realms of scandipop.

Posted by: Bré 8th February 2016, 05:20 PM

'Flytta På Dej' <3 Should have been a smash.

Also like Indila, tyDi and Haloo Helsinki! (Y)

#1 and beating out all of those Hendinias biggrin.gif Excellent end to your countdown.

Haven't got time to listen to things right now but the combination of Dolly Style and that title looks kind of incredible.
