Which format will we be using this contest?

Information about tonights show:

- No jury vote (I'm not against jury voting, but I thought there might be a chance the same nation would be put in a jury three times in a row. Which is kinda unfair if they use alot of time and effort to make a long and nice comment).
- I will reveal two votes at a time with an updated scoreboard each time (Pre-prepared).
- The last vote will be revealed alone as 55 nations have voted.
- Tiebreakers and deducution for non voters will not be updated until the very last FINAL SCOREBOARD (this means that tied nations will be placed alphabetical (excel decided that) until then).
- #00274E will recieve 33% deducution and banned next main BJSC together with Alteria, Avalonia, Beaverdonia, Elëdan and United States of Jack who all failed to vote.

Of the realistic contenders I'm here for Ramrynia (as cheap as it is xx), FARC or FSR Rontvia winning so one of those please This feels like one of the most open contests I can remember though so I'm lowkey expecting something totally random to just snatch it.

Um. Top 10 is insanely high considering there's usually approx 60 entrants each contest and around 40 finalists, why do you always set yourself up to underperform in your own eyes? Would you be happy if you came in at #2?

I know this isn't your point at all Jacob but just to go off that, a result of #2 must be a weird feeling lmao. Soo close and an extremely high result, yet... bridesmaid (although maybe I'm wrong as I came 2nd in a spin-off once and it felt kinda nice haha... especially since it was my best result in anything BJSC-related at the time)

It depends what you're expecting, I'd never say I was "annoyed" at top 10 but like my best example is Kings & Queens, everyone was saying how it would win and I did think it sounded like a winner myself so got a bit caught up in it and I guess I felt disappointed at 6th in that case, because right from me sending it I was like "this is the one oh my god" as I didn't have a win at that point Whereas with like say All We Need Is Love I kind of expected bottom 10 or so, so while a 20th place was midtable, that felt incredible as it really outdid what I thought. I know it sounds stupid to be disappointed in a high finish, but when you set yourself up and get into the hype it can feel like that, so I try not to since Kings & Queens

I have no idea whereabouts I'll end up tonight, avoiding the bottom 10 would be nice I suppose ;o I'm really still just happy to be in the final at all so no expectations this time.

Rooting for FSR Rontvia or Fljótavík to win out of the realistic contenders! (Ramrynia winning would be acceptable as well just because it'd be another long overdue first win even though 'You & I' is not particularly great xx)

Wow at the lead for New Lexico

Mid table so far for Rex which is okay if a little underwhelming after the predix, I did think he was being over predicted but I must admit I did think Maximize would potentially draw in more 1-10 point scores than it has been doing so far.

Evening all Jadakissnia calling from the sidelines following our DNQ and subsequent #vigil4elena. We were a bit salty about some of the songs that made it over us, but at least we have a solid pool of highlights from the final line-up to share tonight. Without further ado, here is how we voted as a nation:

It was a seriously tough battle for our 18 this month but Cor Lupus have pipped all rivals to the post! The nation joined the BuzzJack Song Contest during the 74th contest, the same one as us, so it feels great to reward them with the ultimate honour of a gold for their 30th entry, after experiencing this journey together thus far (along with Flynnonda, a shame we couldn't point them also on this occasion, but at least they made it to the final nevertheless). Cor Lupus join the very small club of nations to have received two sets of 18 from us to date, after 'LAX (Mr. Kitty Remix)' by Aesthetic Perfection was our favourite song from BJSC 99. We're impressed by how obscure this song appears to be from the YouTube view count. It clearly deserves way more attention as it houses a carefree chorus that packs a serious punch and also boasts a really cool accompanying video. Don't get us started on the video. That black cat! Best of luck to Cor Lupus tonight! Deandria were so close to becoming only the second nation that have received 3 gold medals from us to date (unsurprisingly, it's just Persephonia who have that accolade so far) but they had to settle for a silver in the end. Which is nothing to be sniffed at of course! This song was actually a massive grower for us, it would have 'only' received 7 points if we had voted in semi 2 but of course a darkwave song was going to be one of our ultimate favourites in the end. We love this sophisticated and spooky offering from Deandria. That chorus is utter brilliance! We hope that this can turn out to be a bit of a dark horse tonight, it's been too long since Deandria were last in the top 10! FSR Rontvia then complete our medal positions with a song that we are tipping for the win this time. We cannot get enough of the absolutely stunning vocals that are very reminiscent to that of a London Grammar song. The live element really works for this entry as the vocals sound emotional and raw. They're strong enough to make you think it was a studio version though, if only the clapping and talking at the end weren't a giveaway! Then don't get us started on the STRINGS, a wonderful touch that we were always going to love <3 we are definitely rooting for this one to come out on top out of the main contenders.

Good evening from Persephonia, thanks to Tinnmark for doing a great job of finally hosting the contest after all these years. Here are our final votes for BJSC 103.

Congrats to Deandria who have finally got our top points for the first time ever (and quite easily in this final), after previously coming 2nd for us with Télépopmusik back in BJSC 50 and more recently with world's end girlfriend in BJSC 96. Hopefully a bit of a dark horse hit in their hands this time around with their awesome darkwave entry. Dobago's beautiful instrumental takes our 15, marking the second time they have finished in our medal positions (after an 18 to Albin Myers in BJSC 86), while our tip for the win this month FSR Rontvia pick up 13 points with their gorgeous live London Grammar soundalike. Beyond that, Jupiterdonia get their highest points to date from us with 6 points this time following both Brooke Candy and Femme En Fourrure claiming 2 points, and Ojnoj's autoqualifier was a big grower throughout the contest culminating in it getting 4 points from us, our first points to Ojnoj since Tink in BJSC 73. Also, Rolloland maintain their record of always getting points from us when they qualify (now the 5th time) with 2 points for Ninet Tayeb.

In any eventuality I'm fine with basically the entire top 6 winning (Quintessa was the only one I didn't point but it wasn't too far off points iirc) so whilst I'm braced for disappointment I'm fairly sure it won't be to someone undeserving.

Ooooh this was such an exciting contest! Congrats Lex, not among my favourite songs of the contest but not bad.

Chuffed to BITS at 5th place! Was hoping for a unique position (if not a win haha) and I got that in terms of the regular contest, but if you were to take spin-offs into account, I did come 5th in the Reinvention spin-off.

I didn't rate Lost Without You that much, but I was almost rooting for it as that feels so harsh for Rich losing a tiebreak yet again BUT on other terms, while I didn't vote for either, I did enjoy New Lexico's song more and it's great to finally get another long term country get an overdue win, congrats Lex! I hoped for something a bit higher than 29th for Superstar but I think the guitar at the start was enough to put off most of the pop bloc even though the chorus is quite poppy.

congrats Lex! Initially I didn't vote for Word of Mouth in the semi but ended up gaining 11 points from me! Happy with that top two but it is always nice to see a new winner as much as it's gutting for Rich to lose out!

Also pleased with Radioactive's position - despite having lost our top twenty streak it's certainly not a flop by any means! I was expecting worse as there's been no talk about it and had a fairly muted reaction on plug too!

Word of warning I might not enter next month just due to a lack of interest with BJSC nowadays (not definite but maybe!)

OMG I am without words. It feels borderline cruelty to steal the win from Rich on a tiebreak AGAIN but credit to him for putting me first in the odds from the off, I guess experience doesn't count for nothing! (and yes Rich, I am calling you old)

So incredibly happy to have won BJSC a whole (record breaking I'm sure) 98 contests after I first entered Nirvana's Smells Like Teen Spirit in BJSC V (it was a different time back then!) and to have done so in such a way as to ensure the maximum amount of drama (and as Bre informs me, with my 69th entry which feels very appropriate). My sincere thanks to everyone who gave me points, especially Jade whose last minute 1 point to me gave me the victory and to all the other weirdos and homosexuals who play this game in this slightly clapped out pop music and entertainment forum.

Slightly gutting to see FSR losing out on a tiebreak a second time especially when 'Lost Without You' was one of my fave songs in the contest but 'Word Of Mouth' was a big grower and ended up in my commiserations so not a bad winner at all! Congrats Lex, a second winner in a row who had been entering on and off since the first decade of BJSC without a win to their name before ;o

Amazing to see Quintessa coming top 3 and especially Deandria coming top 5, 'Malarone' is possibly my favourite entry of the year to date and it was really frustrating seeing Deandria come 11th twice last year so yasss at them finally getting another top 10 and a top 5 at that *.* Fab fab at Lotunia getting another top 10 and Cadelicia making it in there as well, also great results for Dobago and Jupiterdonia and better results than I was expecting for Trifoski, Land of DW and St. Burbia, hooray. Although damn Dobbo just beating me in the battle of the ethnic instrumentals

Beating IC3PEAK by one position and five points, consistency *.* really happy to have come top 20 with this after the early poor predictions (and still beating my predictions even after they improved a bit, yay). I do agree with Chez though, where was this love for Cusco x I see I was actually not super far off DNQing, must be a pretty big improvement from my projection.

Thanks for the great job of hosting Erik, wonderfully tense finish there.

Thoroughly happy with those results, my top 3 all made the top 4! 'Lost Without You' was my 18 but I loved 'Word Of Mouth' almost equally and was rooting for New Lexico to finally get their first win, so pleased for them!

A few songs I would've hoped to do better, certainly 'Lady Powers' failing to break the double-curse of Vera Blue and Tartford always underperforming ; 'Nothing To Regret' which I nearly tried to send, that chorus is SO Lorde but at least it did better than Robinson's last entry!; and 'Monster' coming last really shocks me, only got 4 points from me but was a really solid entry and deserved better!

Really appreciated the hosting efforts, Jerick, and congrats Lex, looking forward to a New Lexico hosted contest

Welp thank you to everyone who voted for Holland-Oats & CXLOE! I mean... 41st is fairly terrible. I’ve been last coming last place since almost the beginning too. There was a very very brief moment I was 40th in front of SKALL but that was a fleeting moment of joy

To be fair I lost interest in my entry shortly after the contest started so I wasn’t expecting much Next time I’ll be back and claiming a #1 just watch me

Congrats to New Lexico on winning in that shocking tie break though! Despite flopping miserably this was a really exciting contest to catch up on and Word of Mouth is a very deserving winner

I expected Ramrynia and FARC to be higher but a lot of the songs in the Top 10 are fab so it’s a very close contest! Espen Top 10 is brilliant too!

Wowzers! That was a close call at the end there. Very happy New Lexico took the win as it's a track I knew prior to the contest & really liked, definitely deserved more than the sole point I gave it* so thankfully it didn't end up needing any extra in the end. Also was not a fan of the Rontvia track at all, just not my thing whatsoever.

Meanwhile I am pretty damn happy with 11th, after all the top 10 scrapes I was due a narrow miss the other side! Far exceeded expectations, not least the Semi performance - top 3! definitely drew a good Semi for it then, thanks for all the love!

Insane how close that was, I was swapping FSR around in my higher points for ages on Saturday evening so I could've easily given it 1 more, pretty much anyone could have tbf but it's still weird to think about- absolutely loved FSR's song so happy to have seen it do so well!
