Welcome back to Morpeth Cove!
We are pleased and honoured to present this 164th edition of the Buzzjack Song Contest
All 62 submissions from foreign states have been assigned to one of two semi-finals. Twenty from each will obtain a visa extension to allow them to perform alongside the automatically qualified host, République d'Áskorza, at next weeks final. The remainder will face deportation.
You will be required to submit your votes to the host state no later than April 26th 23:59BST. Late votes will not be accepted.
Visa Conditions
- Do not vote for your own delegation
- Vote on time or your entry will receive a 33% non-compliance penalty and you may be at risk of deportation
- Vote only in your assigned semi-final
- Votes are to be sent to the host nation only and are not to be revealed
- Failure to comply with the visa conditions may result in your delegations votes being disregarded and you may be at risk of deportation

@Dan Altyr is on Spotify, it's credited to The Merkins on there. Sadly Terra still spoiling the full house of Spotify availability x (I think Cor Lupus' song is also not available on Apple Music for some reason). Sadly no Rolloland this month but FSR Rontvia of all countries filling in with a 13 and a half minute entry!
Was a very last minute find for me this month but quite happy with it and looks like a good semi draw for me, bringing the trusty post-punk vibes once more (with female vocals this time). Jadaphonia back to back in the running order *.*
Dry Cleaning showing up in BJSC as well y'all better not sleep on them and their ikonik Grammy winning album packaging. A couple of other songs I've heard already as well but don't remember very well so almost all basically new to me this month x

I am still in the listenthrough now and I don't think anything sounds particularly safe or assured of a final place. I don't know if that is a sign of the quality or if there is just many similar style songs in this semi, I couldn't call the qualifiers this time really, but the way to get an idea is to look at the voters pool and become familiar with the types of entries they both send and give points to usually, to get an idea of what might happen.

I have found it fascinating being in semi finals with different styles of music (including some genres I passionately dislike!)
Happy to keep on sending the songs I’ve been sending though because if anything I’ve had some nice comments about both entries so far

voted. semi 2 possibly the nicest semi ever, we must have missed the memo advising in advance as ours sticks out like a sore thumb! we wanted to point at least 20 songs so fingers-crossed those that missed out qualify but we suspect there may be a Nice Bloodbath with many edged out due to competition...

My max pointer was a song I already know from an album I already love... but there isn't anything else that could topple it and it came as a nice reminder as I haven't listened to it in a while. Aside from that, there were lots of songs I liked in SF2 but not sure there are many I love enough to keep.
