Live from the National Indoor Arena in Angel Grove, the capital of Farahtyn is the BJSC 38 Final!

Jenna: Hello all! I want to finally welcome you to the final of the BJSC 38! It feels like forever ago we set out, but the final is finally here! To kick things off these evening please welcome to the stage the lady who brought the contest to Farahtyn. Ladies and Gentleman I present to you, JESSICA MAUBOY!



Jenna: Thank you Jessica! Right let’s get down to business. Quite some time ago 47 countries entered into the BJSC XXXVIII, of those twenty nine made it to the final, where today one of those will be crowned the winner. Unfortunately Aquafina, Fanadminaj, N-Lazone, Persephonia, PRoJ and Xanaga did not submit their votes for the final . This means that Fanadminaj & N-Lazone, will both receive a 33% deduction of their final votes.



Several countries also had to spend too much time trying to retrieve the turtle backpacks which contained their votes, so votes late. Four of those countries were in the final, so they will face a 4% deduction of their final votes. We will discuss this in greater detail as we reach their countries though.

However we still have a winner to crown, and forty-one sets of votes to reveal. The votes will be revealed in a completely random order to maintain excitement as long as possible

Good evening Farahtyn, this is Andrea Corr calling with the results of the Rontvian televote. Congratulations on finally getting the chance to host this beautiful contest of song, we've really enjoyed the songs in the final and are ready to present our votes. Before we begin we must state that we really enjoyed the majority of the songs here but our main commiserations go to Botanikka, Hendinia, Yuxhaaq and Juranabaijan who all sent really enjoyable songs but by artists we felt have had better, and then in particular Usfland and Fljótavík whose entries we loved but sadly we couldn't vote for 12 songs...here are the ten songs that we did vote for:

Eight points to, Avalonia mean Fanadminaj are the only country yet to get onto double figures. Both are still in the bottom three though with host country Farahtyn. At the top Kopecka’s 12 and FSR Rontvia being snubbed means Kopecka regain the lead but only by a point.

Ouch, poor Zowie Really expected Fanadminaj and Kluminican Republic to be doing a lot better too, they're the sort of songs that were coming top five last month. But then everything does tend to change from month to month in BJSC...

I seem to be getting either zeroes or 10's/12's, didn't expect it to be quite so polarising but ok...rather fewer big points than 1's from everyone! Still certain that Kopecka will win though, all of its biggest supporters are still to come.

I think we have our winner It really isn't any sort of shock to see Sober winning with a decent margin, so what if it has its haters, you don't even need a majority on side to win BJSC, Isconia proved that two months ago! The most obvious winner in AGES but it's a great song and nice to see somebody finally break out of the double winners club, and it was always destined to be Kopecka that did it first. Looking forward to Tirren hosting this month although after all of the problems and mix ups of this contest, Martyn has actually done a pretty great, very professional job with this final imo.

Also, I definitely wouldn't have hosted again had I won, so phew! I even halved my personal chart in size because I have so little free time in the week at the moment so hosting BJSC would have been a no-no.

Congrats and all that but in my mind there is no way that Sober is anywhere near as good a song as Call My Name or Red Hot so I don't understand why it's won and I wouldn't call it justified. But there have been worse winners and will be again no doubt!

210 before the deduction, and I predicted 214 for Kopecka in the predicta - you not voting has cost me massively in that Tirren

I knew it would be the highest scoring winner for ages.

Anyway, I'm absolutely ecstatic with 2nd place, even if it is a distant one My fourth time finishing 2nd which I believe is another record, breaking away from Kopecka who I was joint with for three second place finishes before. Thanks to everybody who voted for it, I really love the song so much and I'm glad that others did too

Sober is a brilliant song/winner, looking forward to going to Kopecka next month. Kudos to Martyn for pulling it back with this final which has been smoothly, and brilliantly hosted!

This month's top ten is amazing, puts last month's to absolute shame - what a true anomaly of a dire results table that was.

Wow!!! Congrats Tirren, it seemed like an obvious winning track - hard to explain, there's just something about the track that makes it seem winner-esque. Wonder if it'll get a push for the UK charts at some point in 2012. The next big Swedish hit in the UK?

Also 210 is an excellent winning score even though the 4% deduction needs to be included. When was the last time a BJSC winner collected over 200 points with the traditional scoring system (ie; not the 18 points era).

To clarify on the 70's split

Yuxhaaq had one 12, everyone else has two, so they went out first.
No one recieved 10 points
Unovia and Allecian both recieved one 8, Ashton didn't revieve any so we're placed third.
Both Unovia and Allecian both recieed one 7.
Allecian recieved three sixes but Unovia only recieved two.

I think this makes the correct order?

And anyone I may have forgotten whilst skimming the results since I left last night! Oricon was like the most obvious 12 of the night () and I knew Klumzee liked it, plus a lot of pop of votes! I have to say it was rather a shock to get points from Jark

SOOOOOOOOOOO happy with 15th, I went in expecting a DNQ and got a top 20 finish with a K-Pop song!

at some of those semi results. Especially Daehun and Herzebania (how did the latter come 3rd from that semi result?). They must have had a load of supporters in the opposite semi. As for Hendinia, if they topped Semi 1, how did they do so badly in the final compared, with loads of pop countries coming out of semi 2. Unless Hendinia and Herzebania have been confused, or maybe it really did happen that way.

And I remember everyone (including me) was predicting Budtar to DNQ. Pleased they did so well in the end, then. And for myself, about what I was expecting after how I performed in the final.

Interesting seeing Botanikka at 56 (although I did suspect from the final results) I was agonizing over my votes for Dalisska and Botanikka right before I sent them. I ended up giving Botanikka 5 and Dalisska 4. It could have literally gone either way, but that was how I was feeling when I sent them off.
