Would absolutely love a fourth top 10 tonight! Maybe even a first top 5 which would be insane. Not sure that I've got a winner despite all the hype though - gonna stick my money on New Lexico!

Yay!

I've ended the week with low expectations so I shall be taking what I can sneak away from this final and cheering on my favourite contenders. Thing is, I like (and really love some) pretty much all of them, except one that has just gotten worse each time I listen to it, and that's the one I have a feeling is going to win this

Oh I didn't get around to posting final odds / Predicta oops but I am predicting a top 5 along the lines of Lushington/BLVCK CEILING/Hilight Tribe/Sofi De La Torre/Frances Rose in that order. Semi confident the first 4 will be the top 4 in some order anyway (although I think Lushington will quite possibly win by a decent margin, the others have some chance as well). Era Istrefi/Chairlift/Thomas Bergersen/CDLM also likely top 10 and then maybe The Ready Set/Kenton Slash Demon for the last slot. Lost a lot of confidence in my own entry but hoping I will at least be top 20 ~ *is wildly off with all of these predictions*

Good afternoon, here are the votes from Persephonia.

Incredibly strong final again this month, there were about 11 other songs we'd have been happy to vote for but main commiserations go to Cumulonimbia (just missing out on ensuring we voted for all the other instrumentals ), Yehesi (huge grower but not quite huge enough to sneak in), St. Burbia (actually better than their last song which got 1 point), Vülkyria (don't be mad at us!! ) and Pagasa (great debut and looking forward to future entries ~).

Like last month the highest placed song in English is our 11 pointer, as the main highlights continue to be the instrumentals and foreign language songs. Also like last month our 18 goes to the single most standout and mental song of the contest, there was really no competition for Ethanola here in the end, such an immense rollercoaster ride of the song, there are practically as many moments in that one song alone as there are in the entire rest of our votes *.* The demonic and delightful Fljótavík have to settle for silver and FKA π's bangah of a return entry takes bronze. Cadelicia get 12 points as, though it is a truly life-changing song, its appeal is very slightly less serious than those of the two songs just above it. The English language victors are Klumini New Lexico whose song has barely left my head since I first heard it, and just behind a very closely fought battle for 10 points was won by the discovery of Jadakissnia's ~immense~ witch trap sang, just barely pipping the classic indie earworm from Tartford. N DNTN close in a little more on Aeroche in our all-time points given list as they take 8 and 4 points respectively, while the other AQ Deandria get their first points since BJSC L (not that there have been many opportunities in the meantime) with 2 points. First ever points go to Avalonia in the 3 point position. Also first points for a while to the long-awaited returnees Ingermanlandia and the brand new avant garde sounding Bignia-Zaragovina with 7 and 5 respectively. Kylienips take 6 points and finally Terra Avium squeak in with a single point as they continue their run of high quality entries into 2016 albeit not yet impressing us QUITE as much as they did with most of their 2015 entries.

Another grower in this was the smooth RnB jam sent by rising stars St. Burbia whom we hope can finally score a big hit with this song tonight. Though it really should have happened last contest with 'Wild Horses'.

We aren't always on the same page as Terra Avium, but when they send dance they always make sure it stands out and that's exactly what 'Plummet' does. We really love this sound from them.

8 Terra Avium :: tiasu ~ Plummet

One of our favourite countries of all time recently announced they would quit the contest if their entry this contest flopped. Hopefully that doesn't happen, not just because a Yehesi-less contest would be sad but also 'Bonbon' is a serious bop.

9 Yehesi :: Era Istrefi ~ Bonbon

N DNTN impress us very often, and with a 7 minute house track they were bound to get points from us. It builds very nicely too and doesn't feel that long which is always great.

10 N DNTN :: The Swiss ~ Kiss to Kiss (Amtrac Remix)

Hendinia sometimes get it just right for us and this is one of those times, with the brilliant 'Dust' which wouldn't sound out of place in the charts.

11 Hendinia :: CLMD ~ Dust (feat. Astrid S)

We were never huge fans of Vülkyria's first Lushington entry though we enjoyed it, but the sequel is really doing it for us and hope it brings them another big hit.

12 Vülkyria :: Lushington ~ You Got Me Baby

We rarely put Fljotavik near the top of our scoreboard but as they sent such an addictive and great dance song it was definitely going to make a good impression.

13 Fljótavík :: Kenton Slash Demon ~ Harpe

Not long ago we gave Cumulonimbia our 18, and they nearly do it again after giving us the amazing re-discovery that is 'Xpander'. This was our +12 in the semi but one song has kept on growing faster since voting then...

How appropriate that Ethanola sends the best song to a Danaelanda-hosted contest Seriously though, this is a simply amazing piece of music and I'm so amazed it's doing this well for you.
