So here we go, it's summer! Welcome to the third edition of Buzzjackfestivalen!
Now, before we start, this competition is based on the same format used in Melodifestivalen and it will tour the following four wonderful nations of Ashton, Daehun, Espen, and Bignia-Zaragovina. Each host will present a heat, from which the two songs with the most points will go direkt til finalen in Ashton, and a further two from each heat will make it to Andra Chansen ('Second Chance') that will be held in an undisclosed location in a yet-to-be-confirmed nation. We're discussing new ways of hosting the AC round so GET EXCITED please.
Before we begin the confirmation process, here are some little rules in addition to the normal BJSC rules:
- Songs must be a maximum of 3 minutes in length. They can be shorter if you wish, but not a second over 3:00. The video can be longer than 3 minutes, as long as the song itself is 3:00 or shorter. You can also enter a song longer than 3 minutes if you are willing to edit it down for the purposes of the competition. If there is any doubt then PM either myself, Yu, Silas or Jahq.
- No Eurovision or Junior Eurovision songs are allowed, nor are any songs that have competed in national finals for either of these competitions. Of course Eurovision artists are allowed, but not with the song(s) they entered with.
Confirmations will take place the same way as the regular BJSC, via PM. Please send your confirmation to me (Cal), in the following format:

PLEASE try send an MP3 at some stage before confirmations close. I'll be responsible for collating and uploading the OFFICIAL Buzzjackfestivalen CD, so if you want your MP3 to be of good quality then it's up to you to give it me. If I don't receive one then I'll be using whichever MP3 I find first, so don't be awkward.
You are allowed to make TWO changes to your confirmation, so be sure of the song you want to send. I'd allow more but I'm stuck for time these days so make sure you're happy with your entry!
Confirmation closes SATURDAY JUNE 14 @23:59. The Heats will hopefully go live on the Sunday evening. However, all dates are provisional because we're totalitarian flops.
There are only 28 of 32 places available (the 4 hosts automatically have a spot in a heat), but we may be able to raise that number provided that we can do so in batches of four in order to ensure that each heat has an equal number of participants.

The Persephonian BJSC Committee has decided to boycott Buzzjackfestivalen III due to the treatment James Blake received in the last installment of the contest. However, the Far Island Autonomous Region has exercised its autonomy and decided to enter the contest independently (however for complicated political regions it will be known as Persephonian Farspřk).

What we have at the moment is this:
Heats: Sunday 15th - Thursday 19th [results Friday]
AC: Friday 20th - Monday 23rd [results Tuesday]
Final: Tuesday 24th - Friday 27th [results Sunday]

I'm looking at every non-BJSC song I've added to my iTunes since January and the only two shorter than 3 minutes are disappointing Todd Terje album tracks HELP.

Confirmed with a song that I was originally gong to send to BJSC LXIV but I wasn't sure how well it would do. Halsey then became available and so sent that instead! I'm still intrigued into what reception it will get as I still love the track and so this seems to be the ideal place to send it into as it's 3 minutes long

Absolutely CLUELESS for this one, so I'll be going for something rather uninspired (only the act though) which will flop completely. I just hope his looks will win some of these Buzzjack gays over (I'm looking at you JohnKM and Bal) even though it's meant to be based on the song instead oops.

Yay! I'm happy I get to join this 
I haven't participated in a spin-off in a very long time and my last participation was probably in the first Buzzjackfestival, so this is really exciting!
We do? Cool!
I've sent something a bit different to this spin-off, though. This is actually a song that I've been considering for many years, but never got around to send, so it's going to be very interesting to see how it will do

One song is 3:10 yeah okay and I had to change my entry because it was 12 seconds too long but all the fade outs and useless bits could be cut out - I just didn't have equipment to do it.

Why didn't I think of sending Linjen I Min Hand! Though I guess anyone that's going to love it will already know it, schlager is just something that you 'get' or you hate, not much scope for discovery I wouldn't have thought.
Nice to see She Moves (Far Away) entered, slowly climbing my chart!
There's no 3:10 track Pav, the MP3 just seems to be that long, it finishes bang on 3 minutes.

In my defence (I assume I can reveal now, if not - oops!), of all the songs in my collection the eurovisiony/schlagery stuff is the only stuff i could find around the three minute mark!
Plus, more people should hear proper euroschlagerdansbandmusik!
