it's a nice song, better than I expected it to be, but I can't see it doing very well...I see high points coming from yourself and Lorikeet and then maybe a load of low points, but that won't propel it very far up the leaderboard
Black Butta did well because it's a lively song that showed off her brilliant live vocals and caught everyone (me at least) off guard with how good it actually was!

Bah, true. That doesn't fill me with hope about ever sending her again as I'd say it's definitely one of her best album tracks, with "Black Butta" being the best, maybe even overall.
I guess that's why I sent "Black Butta" in the first place. Most of my favourite songs of hers are the slow ones as I think they're just beautiful, but I don't think they'd go down well in the BJSC.
I don't think it'd ever happen again these days, especially after her flop in the best of.
I guess I could test it by send a cover of a Rolling Stones song she did from her album on the same show as "Black Butta" as it's quite similar. It wouldn't be very creative though.Anyway, I'm about to edit my post with the new questions.

There's always something to create a rivalry!
The first time I did the predicta it was the obvious question as to who would overtake the other, as it was very close at the time; the second time we both entered Sound of 2009 artists (and QTSB were included in that question too); and this time we're both autoqualifiers and I couldn't resist the allure of the Mdičen entrant question ;o

What's it gonna be next time? I don't imagine we can draw a link at all between Tone Damli Aaberge/Velvet and whatever Mdiče would send
And funnily enough Peter I had an exact feeling you would say that - but look back over the contests. There has always been a random country question (Land of Jack/Ojnoj are two examples that come to mind), and it just so happens that Mdiče and Kopečka have had a connection in each of the three so far - I even realised this myself, hence the pisstake of the 'č country/autoqualifier/top two'

I think 'Till I See Ya' is slightly more BJSC friendly but if people aren't in love with 'Straight Jacket', there isn't much hope.
Oh there probably are. e.g. formers winners Margaret Berger and Beverley Knight are both back or maybe Margaret Berger vs Veronicas vs Santogold who were all in BJSC IX too (though that is Kopečka as well
) But I don't think it's a big deal, it's probably natural for the person making the game to see the links with their own entries. This would beat my current peak of 10th It could be the Camille of this contest or maybe the Bjork...

he's 100 odd points in front of you, and I think you will (as always) end up very close to each other on the final leaderboard...the only way you could possibly overtake Ben's total is if you won and Little Boots came about 15th
what you should have asked is 'how many places away from each other will Kopecka and Mdice finish', 10 points for getting within 1 place, 8 within 2 etc...' I think you will finish a few places away from each other this time round, in Mdice's favour, although obviously from the results you've received you will already have a good idea of who will be finishing higher
or you could have asked 'which country will be most successful at the end of BJSCXIII, Ashton or FSR Rontvia' seeing as they are only 16 points adrift of my total now, I think I might be falling into 4th this time around...that's what two non-qualifications does to you

It's just the natural successor to the K/M question, but the Ashton/Rontvia question is very much required

8 out of the top 10 for me...not bad really, Sangria and Hendinia did an awful lot better than I'd initially thought they would do...and FSR Rontvia too actually...it wasn't exactly hugely tipped!
Ashton were the only shocking flop really

It's not a very good points system to be honest.
Not to take away from your victory, congratulations and everything, but I'm sure as a mathmetician you can see the potential unreliability of the scoring.

In theory somebody could predict the entire top 10 correctly in the wrong order and not get a single point.
Similarly somebody could predict 3 songs correctly and the other 7 could end up at the bottom and they'd still get loads of points.

Still, if you'd predict Top 3 absolutely right but the other 7 would get you 0 points (15 pts) and the other person would have got Top 10 in a completely random order (10 pts) - wouldn't it be right?
Actually when typing this post i started to get tangled of whether it's right or wrong to have the first person winning

It would be better yes. The one that I used was that the song you predicted in 1st place would get the number of points it scored x10, the song you predicted in 2nd place would get the number of points it scored x9 etc. It is the most accurate way but it would be quite difficult to figure out scoring for bonus questions to fit in with that.
