Britney Spears – Gimme More – [5-7-7-10-10-13-19-23-34-OUT]
Britney Spears – Piece Of Me – [14-5-2-4-5-2-6-11-12-15-15-18-23]

After spending five weeks in the top 10, 'Gimme More' fell quite fast and only spent four weeks more in the chart after falling out of the top 10.

'Piece Of Me' is definitely my favourite Britney song ever and could spend a few more weeks on the chart yet.

'Break The Ice' looks like it will enter my top 40 next week, it's not my favourite song of hers though and could struggle to make a big impact with Estelle, Mariah, Leona, Sugababes and Kelly Rowland still about.

Well here are my only Chart runs for Britney from my chart!

Piece Of Me - [2-2-5-8-11-13-13-18-20-21-24-25-25-26-24-26-28] and Out sad.gif
Break The Ice - [16-13-11-14-14-13-1-1-1-1-6-8-10-16-23-27] and Out
Radar - [13-9-15-25] and Out sad.gif - Because Its not officially confirmed as a single!
Womanizer - [2-1-1-1-1-1-2-1] - 8 Weeks + Still Charting.

But I can tell you had i done this earlier POM would DEFINATELY have been Number 1! and all her other, previous stuff would DEFINATELY gone Top 3 - Top 5 at least happy.gif Oooh and Break The Ice has peaked at Number 1! Radar has peaked at 9 smile.gif Womanizer is spending a record 6th (N-C sleep.gif) week at the top! cheer.gif

With Gimme More it depends on whic way you look at it since i re-started my chart in January 2008 of which Brintey was #20, however in my 2007 charts GM peaked at #1.

The last two are still charting, though "Womanizer" is a likely drop-out next week I expect. She looks to be on for her 5th top 5 in my chart next week too and probably has the best records for an artist that hasn't been #1.

3. I didnt really pay all that attention to it so the same song could end up at #44 and #72

Oh right. I'm jealous of top 75s. sad.gif I'd totally do one but then I'd find it necessary to make all my previous charts into top 75s because I wouldn't want to start over again. Singles only charts ftw.

and there is no excuse you didn't joy her early pop sound if you charted BSB, N*Sync etc etc.

Backstreet Boys and N'Sync never made my chart with anything either - I was never particularly into that 'sound'. I was more into dance music up until 2003, I rarely listened to pop music.

Well we don't all like the same songs I guess laugh.gif I appreciate it's a 'pop classic' but I've never been that into it and still always skip it when I'm listening to her Singles Collection. It's like how I can't comprehend how people can possibly find Delta's Believe Again 'boring' but I've heard it labelled as that many times.

I have to say though, that Baby One More Time would have been a hit for me, but it's the only song she released before I started doing my chart in June 1999. In fact I specifically remember it peaking at #3 in my chart (before I started writing it down and keeping a record of it) behind The Corrs' Runaway and The Cardigans' Erase/Rewind.
