I purchased my first ever vinyl last night Decided to start collecting after seeing The Fame on offer. I will now be seeking out the rest of them from Gaga!

I've got the blue vinyl of the Fame from the HMV sale this year, plus Joanne and Born This Way too. I'm a bit disappointed with the Chromatica versions on offer, none of them look that nice to me

Kind of annoying that Judas and The Edge of Glory weren't released on vinyl too! There's an Applause 12" picture disc too, but I never got around to buying that one. I doubt I'll be able to get Stupid Love either, but I'm not too fussed about it.

I also echo disappointment with the Chromatica vinyl formats I hope there will be a normal release with the proper artwork.

I would love for 'The Fame Monster' to be reissued on normal vinyl too!

The circle on the album cover is the exact same size as a vinyl too! Just typical that her best album artwork isn't available to enjoy in its maximum glory.

i started my gaga vinyl collection the same time the fame blue vinyl pre-order came up.

since then i’ve added born this way, joanne (they were bargains!!) and the chromatica picture disc - i’m convinced they’re going to release it with the cover soon. i also got both the rain on me singles from her store, excited for them to arrive around christmastime

I wouldn't be at all surprised!

I ordered the Rain on Me cover with Ariana/Lady Gaga on it! I couldn't quite justify getting both versions.

After much deliberation I decided to go with the picture disc of Chromatica... I figured I'd prefer an image of her to look at. I've read a couple of positive reviews about its sound quality too, so that's reassuring. The plain vinyl versions don't really do it for me, although if I had to choose between those I'd probably have gone with silver!

So pleased I got one of the silver versions. Saw the ‘milky clear’ one earlier today and it’s grim, why would you release something in that colour?!!! Suffice to say it looked like a certain bodily fluid.

I've got the picture disc now! It is... not a favourite purchase of mine I only buy vinyls for the aesthtics currently (as I don't yet have a record player) so can't comment on the sound quality or anything, but just to look at and the packaging.. I can only justify buying it for Gaga

It was an Urban Outfitters release a few years back. They go for way over £100 now.

Tbh I don’t really like it as much as the black. It’s not a shocking pink kinda album

I really hope there is. Chromatica was the highest selling cassette of 2020 in the UK - if we had a proper vinyl, I am fairly sure that would have been v high up the chart for that format! She has a fanbase that will buy anything, so I am sure many bought the ones available, but even more would have got a proper edition

First look at the upcoming tri-fold Chromatica vinyl. It includes a 28 page LP-sized booklet and a 40 page fanzine.

The RSD exclusive vinyl will include everything mentioned above, but with a colored vinyl instead of the standard black.

Both records will contain a deluxe version of the album with Love Me Right, 1000 Doves (Piano Version), and 4 remixes.

Tri-fold vinyl for Chromatica officially announced and available for pre-order on her store

The Record Store Day version seems to be the same as the one on her site but the vinyl is coloured (a greeny/yellowy tinge).

I think I will probably try to get both!

The black vinyl should be in copious amounts of stock in time!

The colour vinyl is supposed to be limited. I'd say 11,000 is a fair amount. I know some collectors vinyls that have been released with only 1000 copies for example. Making it limited makes it rare and exclusive. The black vinyl will be the common version.

I agree - I'm more than likely just going to slot my grey record in it instead so I'd rather not fork out for a yellow copy.

The coloured version should obviously be a pink and grey swirl/marble :/

A friend bought more than one copy of Chromatica Tri-Fold black vinyl, he said I can have one Very pleased about this because I'm not fussed to have the more expensive yellow.

Very much looking forward to listening to this on vinyl while looking at the packaging/booklet, it'll be a full Chromatica experience. I didn't mind the picture disc but it was a bit basic... though certainly not as basic as the colour vinyl in clear sleeves

I don't get the point of them adding the Chromatica gatefold vinyl and Born this way 10th anniversary edition in every Gaga store around the world but not in the UK since they even added the new posters.

The issue is the availability in the UK. It doesn't seem possible to order from anywhere in the UK really, not even Amazon!

I assume it's a lot easier to make and distribute posters than a CD! They can probably make, print and ship out of the posters from within the UK. Idk where the CDs are made and how they are shipped out. I just don't think it's deliberate and there must be a reason out of their control as to why they're not available.

It sucks though - the demand is so high for it all!!

The designers definitely went above and beyond with the packaging and booklet! It's so high quality and definitely puts a lot of other vinyl designs to shame - I know already that you're going to be in love with it! I wish all releases would have even half this effort put into it. The front cover uses spot gloss / is embossed, so it's not a totally flat image (the inner gatefold has embossed details too). Overall it feels and looks very deluxe! Worth every penny

Side note: I tend to peel and then place the hype stickers off the plastic and directly onto the covers (which many people would find to be a sacrilegious act ) but I really couldn't bring myself to do that with this vinyl. So I've put my copy into a polythene protective vinyl sleeve, and I stuck the stickers onto that instead #geek

Couldn’t believe it as I rarely find stuff that is post-1980s at this one. I was only going to buy 3 of them at first as the quality of the stickers for ‘Paparazzi’ and ‘Bad Romance’ are pretty bad but he halved the prices for them so I couldn’t resist. Yay!

Oh, interesting to remove her name / album title! I'd have gone a step further and removed the track list too and had that on a hype sticker on the sleeve instead.

Bear in mind that the picture disc has censored audio! Although I feel like picture discs are mainly to be admired, rather than played.

Would be nice if they'd reissue the normal vinyl version as its own separate release at some point (i.e. the one that was only included in The Fame box from 2020).
