I like to represent a special tribute to my favourite act and all-time # 1 girl group.

My favourite 40 YVA tracks in one countdown.

Also we will have some special bonus parts with the side projects of all YVA ladies from the golden line-up (Natalija, Kristina, Goda).

Who are YVA ?

YVA is the most popular Lithuanian girl group, which known for Europeans as a participant of two Lithuanian pre-selections for Eurovision with "Barbie" (2005) and "I Dangu" (2009).

YVA is a sexy trio of main singer Natalija Bunke, her sister Kristina Ivanova and Goda Sabutyte. "YVA" (Ypatingai Viliojanti Atrakcija) is an abriveatura, on English it means Extremely Seductive Attraction.

Formed in 2003, YVA got their big breakthrough in 2005, when their song "Berniukams" ("For Boys") (and debut album of the same title) caused mass hysteria in Lithuania, becoming the biggest hit of the summer. YVA based their success on combination of infectious uptempo pop songs and self promotion. Natalija is probably the most recognizable face of current Lithuanian pop culture – she takes part in most of the main music events and never denies an interview.

Before the break-up in 2011 year YVA released 4 albums and a compilation of their greatest hits. In the end of 2016 year the ladies did a comeback on Lithuanian pop music scene with some new versions of their big hits. After 7 years of fans' waiting new YVA song "Kaukes" ("Masks") was released in October 2017.

All three ladies also are the participants of other Lithuanian girl groups. On the current moment of time they are Pop Ladies (for Natalija), 69 Danguje (for Goda) and fresh band Kristal (for Kristina).

P.S : If you are a big fan of pure pop from late 90s and early 00s you obviously must give a chance for YVA. Probably these beautiful ladies will stole your heart as they did with me.

Bonus part # 2 : Goda Sabutyte



In 2008 year Goda Sabutyte was a part of pop rap duet Goda & Lukas.

"Krize" (their debut song was about global financial crisis)



"Drakes" (funny song about a conflict between two Lithuanian pop stars Mia and YVA's leader Natalija Zvonke-Bunke)

When Natalija left YVA for motherhood, all other 3 ladies (Kristina, Gintare, Ieva) from YVA 3.0 line-up became a new group Šarka.



Magnit was my favourite Kristina's side project.
Both "Laiko Rate" and "Meile Kaip Kine" are pop masterpieces !!!





"Laiko Rate" gave me the first and last qualification in Worldvision song contest (on ESCUnited forum) from 17 (!!!) attempts.

Based on lyrics "Velnias Manyje Gyvena" (The Devil Lives In Me) sounds like "Paparacai"'s sequel. Besides relations between celebrities and mass media in this song YVA beauties also talk about a dark side of the female nature.

“I Dangu” is the most known YVA song for Europeans, because it was their second unsuccessful attempt in the national pre-selection for Eurovision Song Contest.
It’s not confirmed by any sources, but iconic NF performance looks like a copycat of “Flying The Flag (For You) from Eurovision - 2007.

# 2. Barbie



When all-time # 1 girl group was born.

"Barbie" is not the best choice for representing YVA discography, but it's signature track, not only for group, but for me too. This funny pop track made me a big fan of these Lithuanian beauties. I discovered YVA through music contest on ESCForum.net somewhere in 2012-2013 year. "Barbie" was the first YVA song, which I heard and it was love at first sight. YVA tried to represent Lithuania on Eurovision 2005 with "Barbie", but wasn't successful in national pre-selection. Suprisingly "Barbie" is not available on any YVA albums, also it's their first and last song on English language.
