The Tangled Up Tour starts in May 2008 as Girls Aloud's fourth and largest tour with 34 dates in arena's, castle's and racecourse's across the country. During May and June the girls will play to over a quater of a million people.
The tour will be sponsered by KitKat and support acts are rumoured to be The Saturdays, Billiam and Brooke Hogan. A rumored set-list can be found on page 4 of this thread.
This is the place to add news on support acts, setlists, sponsers, new dates and where you're going to see the girls...
The Dates ;
I thought we needed this, so could Lewis! or Matt Aloud pin this if poss?
Only one date at the MENA? That's rubbish! If they add a second date I'll go.
topic pinned! amazing 21 dates!
hoping ill be getting tickets from my bus station for just under 50quid including travel there and back to newcastle (with high priced seats) so will hopefully mean that its close seats. i need to check how close first though.
Plymouth, plz.
just got tickets for may 25th from my bus station including transport for 49.50. they said 'top price tickets' but i don't find out where i'm sitting until i get onto the coach. are all the seats top price or is it just certain parts.
either way im still excited to be seeing them even if they might be c**p seats lol!
usually they're all the same price I like how they spin it to make it sound the best Hopefully they'll be great seats
haha i reckon theyll be oooookay seats
being in the same arena as the Girls makes every seat great
They've added an extra Manchester date! On pre-sale Thursday.
great news but a bit of a bummer for those of us who were travelling to Manchester to be at the closing night
Jark, where did you get that info from? Do you have a link?
It was on Live Nation's email. Unless im going COMPLETELY crazy and imagined it all. But I didn't, lol. If you're a ticketmaster of livenation subscriber it should be on the email sent out tonight...
or go to LiveNation now and click on presales, click on the GA date, and login
I can't go to the NEW closing night at the moment
Got the tickets, 10th row - not bad eh?! So thats me seeing GA 2 nights in a row!
Edited the first post. The tour is now 24 dates long and i've just worked out that if the girls sell all the tickets they will play to over 250,000 people ... yes - a quater of a million people!
Oh and apparently over on the official ga forum tickets for a London Wembley date (yes, not 02) go on sale tommorow morning.
I really cant get over how well its selling, it can only improve sales on the album and further incentive to stick together.
I nearl wet myself then thinking it was Wembley stadium until I remembered Wembley arena still exists
I might see if I can go to one of them
They are only playing one date in Birmingham, on the 23rd.
its amazing 250,000 people!
im going to nottingham 7th row
1st time im going to see em-cant wait!
I might be able to wangle in a 3rd GA date this year, one of the summer dates at Harewood House.
Fingers crossed
Fingers crossed for you
I should be able to confirm a 3rd GA date tomorrow
(and I may not rule out a 4th yet )
oh yay! going to the Edinburgh Castle gig in July Looks like I'm right at the back At least if they mention the people at the back I'll feel special
I'm about to book tickets for the MEN date
Booked it going to the 2nd MEN arena date
what block did you get?
Ummm 114 I think Row N.
New dates have been added at Cardiff and Birmingham, go on sale this friday at 9am
2 new tour dates on sale now
Cardiff International Arena 3rd June 2008 part standing
Birmingham Arena 4th June 2008 seated
they are on presale now.
Can we keep all tour related stories in the pinned tour thread above? Could a mod move this if poss?
Updated the first post. That means Manchester isnt the last date now
merged together
thanks for posting and welcome to BuzzJack
Technically Manchester hasn't been the last date for ages now, with Edinburgh, Hastings, Harewood House, Newmarket in the summer not to mention the V Festival too

the first support act??
O gosh, not them!! lol
Anyway, last year they had 3 support acts, so we may have some good surprises!
rumours flying around of Alphabeat. Time will tell
Ooooh Alphabeat would be well good
Yeah they would be amazing!
It definately won't be Alphabeat, they said on their message board.
I think Billiam and The Saturdays are confirmed support acts now. I wonder if there will be 3 like last year.
Read about The Saturdays here. http://www.popjustice.com/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=2367&Itemid=206
I liked that Billiam single that was out a while ago I'll have to find it again
I'm thinking of wearing comedy glasses when Billiam's on
Oh man I've just noticed my date is like the 3rd last Its gonna be so hard resisting temptation and looking up performances

There will be a small catwalk - not sure what this will mean for people in front centre blocks
Also, Fling will be performed
How juicy cant wait
I thought I'd rub it in by saying juicy
Indeed, looks amazing!
Oh god I can't wait. Brooke Hogan would be good too

Someone came through my checkout today and said they had been to the concert LOL.
Said they sounded amazing and it was one of the best concerts they had ever been to

and 9 weeks to Edinburgh Castle
Yeah a week tommorow and i will be attending the first of my two nights seeing GA at the MEN!!!

Tonight! Can't Fookin Wait!
beat me to it
darn my sleepy nature
Tonight
With a Hi Hi Ho and a Hi Hi Hey, it's off to Newcastle I go.
Last night was amazing! even better than I expected, they sang brilliantly and they looked amazing, even Sarah (who I don't think normally sound great) sounded brilliant. Cheryl got loads of support and cheers throughout the show, they were so excellent. wish it was longer though. they were 1000x better than the Spice Girls and thats a huge compliment from me haha! Can't wait to see them again at V festival!
I loved the Saturdays aswel, Billiam were alright, can't remember the 2nd blokes name but he was rather good too.
I keep saying this every year, but the support acts get better each year All of them this year were rather good, especially The Saturdays (probably because we were brainwashed all night with them, I am almost compelled to text SATURDAYS to whatever number now ). Still can't get used to Frankie with short hair . From what a lot of other people had said I was dreading Billiam but they were alright I almost thought the Saturdays were Luigi at first as I forgot all about him being a support act. It took me ages to work out why I thought they had a bloke with them
I still think best support act ever (on GA tours) belongs to Rogue Traders last year though
And seeing Cheryl after the show running around outside She missed my hand
Roll on Saturday
aww I would have loved to see the Rogue Traders.
and yeah the Saturdays were brainwashed into our heads alot! haha
Which support act is on first?
Billiam, Luigi, then The Saturdays
Ok, what time are The Saturdays on?
Right, thanks for the info! Cant wait now!!
I really loved the concert I went to. I went on the 17th May to O2 Arena.
Lol, i saw that at the cinema. Was amazing indeed.
we'll all see it again on DVD
Manchester is getting very close, tomorrow will fly as it is mon anniversaire, then Friday is like the day before
Just been watching Newcastle videos reliving the memories Saw my huge long arms on one of them with my disco baton
Luigi again meh, he had no stage presence at Sugababes.
im going liverpool, 2 DAYS !!! whats the lineup then and the support acts, cant you miss the support act? and is the programe worth buying? ^^,
The line up is in the spoiler thread. But I wouldnt look at, better when its a surprise
1st act is bad, second act is awfully bad, third act is pretty good!!
Forgot to post in here, but I went to the 02 one and had the best night! Was fantastic.
Yeah they were amazing at the MEN, cant wait to go again tonight!!
I thought Billiam were were just ok tacky boyband really they'll never be big.
Luigi Masi just has no stage presence really he looked gay at MEN last night aswell lol I like his song "The Look" though
The Saturdays were awesome we loved them, the first song was great and "If This Is Love" was super who says super anymore well anyway they was great. Does anyone know the first song the Saturdays performed?
they performed -
'Up'
'Keep Her'
'Issues'
'If This Is Love'
theres some decent videos on youtube of them
Up was really good I loved it
The Black Jacks performance was awesome
I was like a little spring lamb at the MEN
The tour seems to have flown by after taking months to arrive after buying the tickets
And I finally succumb to The Saturdays brainwashing and texted the number to preorder the single
The Saturdays both nights were amazing. 'Up' 'Issues' and 'If This Is Love' all have top 10 written over them with good promotion.
'Blackjacks' 'Call The Shots' and 'Jump' from GA were incredible.
Here are some of my photos
oooh the memories
Ashley Cole was there on Saturday apparently, and there was a car with darkened windows that sped out with photographers chasing it for all of 5 yards . Some wazzocks decided to boo and name call and blow any chance of one of the Girls coming out after the show
Listening to someone's recording now from Brighton
What was The Saturdays myspace? did they have one?
edit: nvm I found it was hoping Up would be on it
My trusty disco baton no longer has the name Girls Aloud on it
It now reads Girls A. Darn my long fingers
I want to go again! can't wait to see them at V festival!
ALL OVER
HAHA. and the book. and the 'passions' dvd. and the calender (which is being shot at this very moment). and the new album. and cheryl's appearance on the x factor.
The list is endless!
and new album also of course will mean new single
Just thought I'd extend the list
I'm so trooping around Edinburgh in my tour t-shirt, and all my laminates, and disco baton
Anyone going to the summer dates? I think im going to Dolfold Park on 3rd August. Cant wait to see the girls the most but The Saturdays and Simon Webbe should be good too.
I'm setting off for Edinburgh in about an hour
Can't believe it's today already, it seems like Newcastle was only yesterday
Have fun Matt? Who else was supporting? How were the girls?
I'm already SO excited about the DVD release!!
I don't know how I'm gonna be able to wait few months again! Hopefully we get it for Xmas!
Me too. Its been too long since a live GA dvd ... stupid STUPID management.
OMG i want Fling and Blackjacks back
Wow thanks for sharing it with us Matt!
How they can get rid of 3 of the best songs on TU is beyond me lol!
I sooo want to learn the CLose To Love routine
I'm about 99% likely to be going to Harewood House for my final Tangled Up session of the year
a few pics from last night (pardon my camera blur it likes to take ages to actually take the photo if you zoom a tiny bit )
Black Jacks, and Control Of The Knife returned along with the revolving stage that were missing from Edinburgh. Still no Fling though Huge great atmosphere which would have deafened everyone if it had an arena roof over the top There were 4 support acts , Jesse, Natalia, The Saturdays, and Simon Webbe. There was a firework display after the show too, just as well as it took 40 minutes to get out of a field as all the buses, other cars, taxis were pushing their way into the queue. If they didn't push in the first place, we'd have all got out quicker
A couple of videos I managed even if my camera's microphone was far tooo close to the speakers
Thanks for posting Matt, those are good pictures!!
I love the girls new hairstyles, especially Nadine and Nicola! They're getting ready for the new album photoshoot I'm sure
and as we're nearly at the new album/tour announcement time to unpin this amazing tour
and I just had my DVD in the post too The first time a HMV preorder has arrived early for me.
Bye-bye thread. Was an incredible tour!
Got it this morning and I've already watched it
It got me very emotional, so many great memories from the tour! I still think it was an amazing tour really, so I think it looks better when you are actually there
The sound is sometimes not that good on the DVD (I mean the music is so loud and the voices a bit too low), but gosh it looked sensationnal! Great work on the DVD!
Oh and the 20mins documentary was well funny and enjoyable Bless Cheryl in the tour bus hehe!
Btw, it should be a suresafe #1 music dvd for the girls! It is 30 in the overall DVD chart on amazon, and the closest rival (ie music dvd) is about #240 And its been like that all week, so I guess the sales are great!
The documentary and tour were great overall but didnt like 'Somethin Kinda Ooooh' performance, could barely hear them sing!!
For the new tour, do you guys reckon fans will be given the oppertunity to buy tickets before hand if you are registered on the website?
Jump from this tour has been remastered into 4K! I wonder if the entire tour will be uploaded, or just the singles?
Exciting, I hope it all gets remastered and uploaded!
