V2 :
YTD Sales : Please read these guidelines before you request sales estimates, it makes my task a lot easier.
1. Be specific - please name the artist and title for each entry you'd like an estimate for.
2. I log sales for all albums that have charted this year, but only update those that have sold enough to reach my 200 position tracking range
3. If an album isn't in the current Top 100, I won't be able to update its sales until Tues. Also, please don't ask about ex-T100 albums too often - once a month at most)
4. Remember to check the thread before requesting estimates - they may already have been answered. Also, no more than half-a-dozen requests at a time, thanks.
5. Please note my figures are combined sales & streams, and since I have no way of separating them, I cannot provide a split.
6. While I am no longer estimating singles sales, I can provide YTD singles positions from C+, and I am still maintaining my sales archive based on published figures (PM me if you want to see it)
Thank you.

Kylie is #52
Highest Robbie will get to is no8.
Easy win for Lewis for YE album - will do 650k max now. Poorest in years?
Any chance Kylie has re-entered the top 50 albums? 92.5k? Top 60 at least?
Thanks Vidsanta.
Thank you. Still should sell over 100,000 in 2019 so nice for Kylie
Is Freya Ridings anywhere inside top 100? Dido?
thanks in advance
Vid, do you have any total sales for any Christmas classics?
Mariah, Wham, Chris Rea, The Pogues, Slade and Band Aid?
To November 2002 Slade had sold 1,007,500 and Band Aid were on 3,550,000. Most of those would also be pre-1994 sales (pre OCC sales) since I don't think either single was given a physical re-release from 1994 to 2002. So that would make Slade on 1.792m and Band Aid about 4.5m in total.
The original Band Aid track was also on 'Do They Know It's Christmas' by Band Aid 20 (it's track 2) and that sold just over a million so unofficially the original Band Aid single has sold over 5.5m copies.
Really hope Lewis breaks through the 600k threshold before year end.
Total sales for the previous Ball and Boe albums? Much appreciated.
crazy that the Ed album looks certain not to go Double Platinum this year
when his previous did 672K on week 1 alone
It's 300k for a platinum album (not 600k). Anyway week 1 comparisons with that long ago are a bit meaningless as so many people have switched to streaming so their album 'sales' come over a much longer time (it would be virtually impossible to generate 300k album sales from streams in a week).
So Lewis Capaldi looks like being the biggest album of the year on about 625k roughly based on current weekly sales. I’m glad he will be the biggest seller rather than Sheeran.
Me too (although being released a couple of months earlier helped). Ed got to 500k in a shorter time, but on current form Lewis would have the bigger seller in the long run.
I know, meant double platinum
shocking underperformance
Ed Sheeran audiences are divided this year and he's already on his way to his ten years as a mainstream music artist.
From Music Week -
Thanks for the info on the Xmas songs guys.
Yeh delighted that Lewis is looking like being the years biggest seller, well deserved and the biggest new artist of the year!
Almost half of the top 40 are 2019 releases - that’s good!
