Moreover, no hope of 'Prada' buggering off any week soon
I was hoping next week would see a mass exodus… looks like there’s going to be a number of Peru type chart runs this year
The streaming market has increased by more than 4% for a second week in a row, so it's maybe not surprising that a lot of these songs have managed a small increase.
I always thought the rule that songs avoid ACR if they increase by any amount, even if it's less than the market, was put in place primarily to stop songs going to ACR prematurely on the build up to Christmas (when Christmas songs start to inflate the market) - but with the January resets now given to anything which went to ACR in December, that's not really an issue anymore, and the rule just appears to be adding to the staleness.
How long before stick season goes acr
It's still not declined even once since it entered the chart.

I need 75% of those DCL-1 songs to go to ACR in two weeks time - what a clearout that would be *_*
A bit too tired to do the maths. Will Sophie have moved to ACR when her physicals hit?
Must be borderline whether Sophie declined or not - the reduction of 26 sales could easily be covered by downloads. If anything my guess would be that she didn’t decline - Dan may have extra info though.
I don’t. just a guess for Sophie as she’s a non mover on the sales chart.

Somebody please kill 'Prada' with fire already
Prada & Cruel Summer will never leave top 10 at this rate 😭
Its quite hilarious how songs like Cruel Summer keep avoiding ACR naturally without doing a thing
Shame Exes is closer to ACR than Greedy
So is there any reason Cruel Summer keeps avoiding ACR despite being over 3 years old?
because it got manually reset three times (initial virality, remix package release, new year) and it had a sales boost this week so back to SCR
Dayum, Sheeran/Capaldi eat your heart out.

I hope Stick Season doesn’t get an increase next week and glad that Lovin On Me is off to ACR next week
Why does Sophie have to release the physicals of MOTD AFTER the week the song goes back onto ACR? Why did she have to wait that long?
Where did Perfect Exceeder's increase come from this week?
Was substantially down on Spotify
It's had a couple of remixes released recently.
Baby shark could climb next week with been half team
Hope SS avoids whereas Prada, Cruel Summer and a few others move to acr to make way. Also SEB seem too early but given this is her 2nd wind in the top 10 fair enough!
Stick season 14k down on day 1 Spotify from last week so if the info on here is correct it’s heading for ACR. Those middle of the range songs… prada, cruel summer, feather won’t ever go ACR in my opinion
Stick Season on ACR cannot come soon enough.
I would estimate that everything that was on DCL-2 last week has gone to ACR including Northern Attitude which declined this week despite being starred out
Cruel Summer has increased overall sales by 1737 this week so I assume its back to zero weeks of decline - that will annoy a certain person on this thread !!
lol! Role on her new album!

To danG
Do you get the Music Week Chartpack which is sent just after 8pm every Friday.
It tells you every song in the top 75 that has increased sales - you can work out which songs have not increased sales in the past week as well.
Alan Jones doesn't give the sales figures for every song.
How f*** does cruel summer keep avoid acr
Won't Taylor go on permanent ACR soon due to how old it is? Idk I can't remember the rules
only once she's actually had three weeks of decline (again), then after that it will be permanent
probably a case of waiting for her new album to overshadow it now (I know the last two TVs didn't have that effect but a new studio album should make a more long-lasting chart impact)
It's already been back on "permanent" ACR in October - that didn't stop it getting reset at the end of that month. (And again in January as a result of going back to ACR during December).
Oh ffs. We did not need that. It’s Spotify total this week was quite similar to last week’s tbf

Oh, so Teddy Swimmers managed to dodge ACR.
Oh great to see a bit of a clear out now
Pleased Greedy has finally gone, but will only be really pleased once Cruel Summer joins it. Also slightly annoying that Lose Control is back to 0 DCL
Good to see six big hitters going to ACR this week and about time too for them all.
Thank God 'Asking' going to ACR. Hideous song that way outstayed it's welcome by months
Would guess that Houdini, Never Lose Me and My Eyes are on ACR next week, although obviously Houdini could get an instant reset if its performed at the Brits.
Runaway should also be off to ACR as it’s declined the last 3 weeks even though it was starred out for two of them.
Leave me alone could go either way I think. Dan may be able to shed some more light on that one
My estimates...

Never mind
I assume if a song is on DCL-3 but gets the required increase for a reset, then it stays on SCR (though strangely will be on ACR for Monday’s Chart Update).
Do you all assume so too - and does anyone know if this has ever happened?
What a shame that 3 excellent songs - 'Houdini', 'Never Leave Me' and 'Leavemealone' are all going to ACR whilst 'Cruel Summer' is STILL top 10!
I have no memory of that having happened. I think Save Your Tears would have had that but it was while they still only reset the following week?

Don’t Thursday streams tend to get lost? If so, it could affect Cruel Summer’s streams for yesterday seeing as the eras tour was added a day early to Disney plus instead of today
It got added at 1am uk time

Can someone kill baby shark lol
Whatever going to ACR at the earliest possible point would be some justice.
Still confused as to why Baby Shark got a reset just before Christmas tbh, at least its not looking like troubling the top 40.
Are you certain that exes is back to SCR?
I fear the only way to stop Baby Shark is to discount all streams from YouTube - the song has spent 39 weeks at #1 on video streaming
alternatively the OCC could just manually boot it back to ACR for the same bullshit reason they put it back on SCR in the first place, whatever that bullshit reason may have been
yes, MW reported Exes as having a sales increase this week
As much as 'Cruel Summer' is fab. It's been very overdue to go now. Will probably still be low top 40 next week anyway!
Not mad at 'exes' hanging around a bit longer though!
A bad week for the Marleys, but yay for the other two songs finally going!
Baby Shark supremacy
What's with 'Back On 74' getting a reset this week but not last week? It didn't increase streams by 25% again did it? I guess good that it's reset now because it certainly should have been by the OCC's written rules (albeit a week earlier) but I really don't like how jank the system seems to be for something that should surely be really easy to automate.
'exes' really starting to build a 2016 esque chart run, never really properly blowing up but holding up really well and dodging ACR enough times to build up a constent lengthy chart run.
If we have to put up with Mr Brightside, Someone You Love and Riptide never leaving the top 100 ever again then I can fully embrace Baby Shark doing the same.
I was going to ask the same question about Jungle. I was shocked to not see them getting reset last week, and as a result returning to the top 40. It was one of two clear ‘winners’ from the Brits looking at iTunes and Spotify (the other being RAYE). How on earth has it been reset this week, when it is probably in decline? OCC taking a nap?
Oi leave those sharks alone! Nothing is stopping other YouTube videos getting higher streams and people are loving the song which is fairly good objectively...
The Jungle situation seems to be the same as “Fast Car” after the Grammy’s. The OCC clearly somehow missed it last week and have instead reset it this week, I can only assume it was automatic as if the label had asked for it, they surely would’ve done so last week.
They did at least increase this week compared to last, but nowhere near 25% if Spotify is to be believed. Luckily it wasn’t cost a top 40 place last week either by the OCC being asleep.
The estimations of this week...
Teddy managing to swim against the current again you'll all be pleased to see.

So few week boy is mine Ariana grande replace yes and than
Lil Boo Thang avoiding again is depressing.
How can a few songs avoid ACR when the weather is so bad, they feel like they are set for ACR when up against the new entries
it was a bumper week for sales plus more new entries than usual skews perception so we have songs gaining even with dropping chart position
but even still Paul Russell gaining seems quite baffling and he's long overdue now
that Campbell song also looks like it's never giving up as is bloody Baby Shark
I keep forgetting the Campbell song is still there, I guess it's easy to ignore since it's outside the top 40.
I remember 'Coal' had some decent momentum behind it a couple of weeks ago and looked like it might yet go top 40, but that clearly didn't last long, ah well. 3 excellent songs going to ACR but obviously 'Escapism.' was just having a post BRITs bonus run and doesn't need to keep sticking around, and I'm happy enough with the run 'redrum' had, just a shame it wasn't quite a top 10 hit but it was clearly never going to get there anyway. The other 2 will not be missed x

(about time for Exes and yay for WWIMF not overstaying its welcome post-resurgence)
Does the rule that the song has to decline compared to the industry still apply?
Because if it does, I feel like a lot of those songs could have avoided declines unfortunately as the industry is down nearly 5% this week as per the sales thread.
There's one heading to ACR that I haven't even heard of, let alone heard!
What Was I Made For and FE!N are both still on SCR.
Would estimate What Was I Made For? to be on DCL-2 and FE!N to be on zero weeks of decline
I was thinking it seemed unlikely 'FE!N' would be going to ACR given it climbed 5 places (I know it must have still declined overall but obviously less than the market).
Fein was more wishful thinking on my part I guess, I thought there was a possibility of it lucking out urgh
I imagine we could see quite a lot of the DCL1s going back to SCR this week with a small increase just because the market recovers from its slump.

we're never getting rid of bloody Lose Control are we, whereas it seems Djo has gracefully decided 7 weeks in the top 10 is plenty
Natasha Bedingfield hang on long than Sophie
Got a feeling djo won’t be ACR he really had YouTube wild increases the last three days in a row
Wonder if they may get djo reset witt his cassettes out this week? Idk if the label know/ care enough tho 😭
Such a shame to see it going while yhe disgusting Teddy swims track is still on scr 🤢
Yay for Kanye going to ACR - really not liking him having hits based on his persona. But so hope that Djo avoids it as seems too early- it's absolutely stunning!
So ready for Lil Boo Thang to hopefully go ACR next week.
Shame for Muni Long though. Love that classic R&B sound.

yes indeed Benson is definitely going ACR (yay)
Thank you
No teddy pineapple still drop acr yet
Yes please for 'Whatever' going plus 'Lil Boo Thang' - tell them it's next indeed.
It's criminal 'Whatever' even charted in the first place, but good bloody riddance!
Teddy Swims joining 'Peru' and 'Prada' in the selection of number twos that can't be flushed!
Hooray for 'Whatever' going to ACR and Benson which I still like myself has had enough time up there now but grr at everything going before Teddy.
My joy at Whatever and Lil Boo Thing disappearing is balanced by disappointment at Benson going already and disgust at Teddy Swims still being on SCR. Criminal that it's outlasted Benson and Djo among others.
Thank god 'Whatever' is (hopefully) gone after this week, and thank god even more that it never really properly blew up.
Flo Milli and Beyoncé for DCL-3 next week please and I’m glad that Calvin Bone Man have avoided ACR
Beautiful Things numver 5 on tonight's First Look so not on ACR.

Quick, everyone stream Teddy Swims this week to get it back on SCR haha!
Will be a shame for Ariana. I know it's peaked etc but it does deserve a bit longer in the Top 40 than just 9 weeks. Oh well.
Fingers crossed Teddy Swims off out of here.
Hopefully last week of pineapple top 10 lol

Death, taxes, and 'Evergreen' avoiding ACR (along with Campbell and Alcemist in the end last week)
at least Campbell looks like he'll naturally drop off eventually if ACR doesn't come soon enough
whereas Evergreen may very well be here until Christmas
From DCL-2, I want Amy, Hozier and Natasha to hit DCL-3 next week and glad that Bryson has hit DCL-3 but it feels too soon for Jax and SZA and why has Smalltown Boy been reset?
Bronski Beat to do a 'Murder On the Dancefloor' pls
Pinkfong going to ACR again, I am outraged. Hope it'll be rightfully reset again soon x
Shame to see Artemis possibly going already, still obsessed with it!
Apart from As It Was nothing really outstaying its welcome for a change - Artemas and Hozier if anything are fading a bit too fast for my liking
I do like 'Beautiful Things' but Artemas and Hozier going to ACR before it seems a bit unfair.
I can't believe that Alchemist song is STILL knocking about the top 100, that felt like a blink and you'll miss it hit that'll die off quickly and never been heard about ever again.
Pray hoizer get acr this Friday
A film on Amazon prime starring Anne Hathaway called The Idea Of You is the reason why As It Was was given a reset
So is MTV the only established broadcast media that actually acknowledges the existence of ACR?
So why did its streams increase by 25% then, if not the film?
I do think the film is somewhat at play. Its last.fm stats show a massive spike on the film’s release date.

I was wrong about Badger last week, my best guess is he's on DCL-2 now but if we're lucky he could be gone next week even, he's at least very much on the decline now.
From last week's DCL-2s I think Dua 'Illusion' has had a lucky escape, and Shaboozey has definitely gained.
Thankfully looks like the needless reset for Harry Styles won't be lasting quite so long as he seems to be very much on the decline. Katy Perry and The Script not lasting for long post-reset either. Probably won't be able to say the same for this week's needless Cruel Summer reset because of the tour, oh joy.
Campbell now on the verge of actually exiting the top 100 without ever getting shunted to ACR lol.
Is 39+ weeks on the chart before first going to ACR a record for Campbell and Alcemist?
Looking at Spotify numbers, I think there's a chance that Badger is only on DCL-1 as of this week.
Both already gone from the top 40 anyway of course but those two on DCL-3 will be no loss.
though i do love the song i have to criticise the cruel summer reset, especially with the tour itll be hanging around all summer again i wish the occ at least stayed firm to the rule that the reset can be for a song actively being pushed, or actively trending like a single or tiktok moment. annoying too as its gonna hinder the chart success for the tracks off of ttpd too, cruel summer has had its moment, and again, and again, we did not need this at allllll ugh
Dashas sales decreased this week, surely on at least DCL-1?
Yayyy Illusion avoiding ACR
