I know I've become quite an avid concert-goer this past year or so, having been to four already in 2014 with another five coming up but how often do you go to any gigs or concerts? Are you a fan of live music? Seated or standing?

I've been to see the following over the years:

- Girls Aloud
- X Factor Live Tour 2010 (Joe McElderry's year)
- The Saturdays
- Justin Bieber
- Paloma Faith
- Gabrielle Aplin
- Taylor Swift
- Tom Odell
- Lauren Aquilina
- Ellie Goulding

My upcoming concerts:

- Katy Perry
- Cody Simpson
- The Saturdays
- The Vamps
- Lady Gaga

All of them bar two are from within the past few years, so it's definitely a recent thing. Still really gutted I missed Girls Aloud's last tour so I'm not letting myself miss anything else for now. It's kinda hard to pick a favourite as they're all pretty different - Paloma Faith definitely sticks out in my mind though, fantastic crowd interaction and excellent performances all round. Bieber/The Sats put on good shows but their interaction was so very scripted...

I saw Girls Aloud on their Chemistry tour, it was...okay. Saw Kylie's Les Folies tour which was totally spectacular. Also saw Matt Cardle on his Letters tour, alot smaller
than the other two obv. but really enjoyable.

I'd love to go to more, but I never have any money or people to go with I took my mum to all 3 of the tours I have been to. Thankfully, she liked them all.
Praying Anastacia comes to Scotland on her next tour, i realllllly wanna see her live.

I wish i could go to more concerts but lack of funds/happenings in Birmingham for the acts i'd want prevent me from doing so.

The two Gaga ventures were my faves obviously, especially being caught up in The Monster Pit at the last one. Night i'll remember more than any ever. Will be going to see her for a third time later this year along with La Roux for the third time.

As for preferences, i'd ALWAYS prefer standing just so you can get fully immersed in the experience (even if i'll be artRAVING from a seat this year )

I rarely have the money to go to concerts My last one was Nicki Minaj. I am going to a couple of festivals this year though where I will hopefully see a few acts, and I am seeing Little Mix next week too! Oh and I am seeing Iggy Azalea in London in September too which should be amazing hopefully.

Never really been to concerts, been to quite a few intimate gigs, but my problem has always been that although there are quite a few arenas and stadiums nearby, but they're far enough to make it become an effort. Been to Leeds Festival twice, and I loved it, live music is just amazing. The atmosphere takes you away! And standing all the way, can't imagine sitting down for a gig or a concert...

That said I am seeing One Direction in 11 days

I've been to two X-Factor in 2011, so it featured the class of 2010 including Rebecca Ferguson () and Little Mix last February. Really want to go to more, but unless tickets are released around my birthday or Christmas I have to pay for myself and until I get a job that isn't feasible

I'm quite lucky that my mum appreciates most of my favourite artists so we're always going together and we're close to both Sheffield and Nottingham.

So far this year I've seen Taylor Swift, Ellie Goulding, McBusted and Katy Perry with Sam Smith to come in November along with two artRave dates that I've committed to (starting to pay my way once I find a job as I don't take it for granted and am still quite money conscious about it all...would like to pay my mum back a bit for everything we've been to in the past three years).

Highlights have to be Taylor Swift (my ultimate favourite person), McFly always put on a great show, Katy Perry was spectacular the other week and Ed Sheeran was fantastic - no gimmicks, just him and his guitar, but it was so bloody good.

Never get standing tickets as queuing early is too much hassle and it gets too crowded, usually manage to get really good seats.

Don't worry, I didn't remember all these off by heart (I forgot about a couple, oops), but I have an obsession with keeping my ticket subs haha. (I've misplaced/lost my Britney, Kelly C & Nicki Minaj ones though )

Really should have added Katy Perry, Miley Cyrus & Justin to this list this year, but ah well. Hopefully he'll come again soon (won't happen for at least another 4 years )

Oh and STANDING is the only option (unless it's a seated only concert!)

Last week I've been to Kelis and yesterday to Emmylou Harris.

I don't go to concerts that much (about 4/5 a year), just had two in the space of one week.

I saw Coldplay two years ago and have seen Muse twice, one last year and one five years () ago. They were the two bands on my bucket list I had to see live really, I would really like to see some more concerts, but I'd need the funds first. Sitting seats are the best, standing/mosh pits aren't really for me.

I may be working (alas not in the voluntary/see every act sense) at the Isle of Wight festival this year so may get a chance to tick a few more bands off.

So far this year I've seen Beyonce, Banks, Foxes, Metronomy, Rebecca Ferguson and Sophie Ellis-Bextor. Seeing live music on a regular basis just wasn't a thing for me when living in Wales, and it's really proved to be one of the best things about moving away for Uni.

I'm going to Bestival this year. The lineup's so good that I doubt I'll get to see everyone I'd ideally like to, but I'm hoping to at least definitely catch Paloma Faith, Chvrches, Outkast and Basement Jaxx. Otherwise I've got Little Mix on Friday, Gabriella Cilmi next week, and then The Saturdays, Kylie Minogue and Katy B later in the year. La Roux and Kyla La Grange are also possibilities (tickets still need to be bought).

I've been to way too many to count - I have a ticket wall in my room of the ones I was allowed to keep, living in London really helps as you might imagine! especially for the up-and-comin' acts - like Tove Lo who I saw a few weeks ago, so good.

Best concerts would include Imogen Heap - so inventive! - Kanye West, Kanye West & Jay-Z (feat. Rihanna! Who - sidebar - still makes me go NUTS when she does surprise live appearances - she came on at Wireless last year too - yet I found her solo gig rather lame), Kylie (such a professional), Scissor Sisters (best stage presence EVAH), Alphabeat, Dragonette, Girls Aloud (I was a stan, sorry bout it), and I COULD go on.

I do always prefer to be front of standing as it's such a thrilling place to be, but for bigger gigs it comes with such commitment (started queuing at 10am for Watch the Throne) and can be quite uncomfortable (basically got squashed at the same gig. Plus was next to a woman with really spiky hair ). Haven't been to an arena gig in ages though, and I do prefer the smaller venues - London has so many great live venues.

Coming up I have Bright Light Bright Light (again! such a babe), Iggy Azalea, Katy B and of course the apex of my entire life in DAME KATE BUSH. I'm already preparing for my funeral the day after.

I really have not been to many. I've been to see Nicki Minaj and Beyoncé (*.*) and I really want to see Kanye, Clean Bandit, Jay-Z, Justin Timberlake and Miley (even though my chance for the latter two is pretty much over for the foreseeable future).

Also, I went to the X FACTOR 2007 LIVE TOUR, which was dreadful.

The only act I've seen twice is Steps! How embarrassing! That's all the concerts I've ever been to.

The two italicised gigs aren't in the traditional sense. Lewis Watson's gig was part of a meet and greet, you just had to buy the album from HMV Oxford Street to get a wristband, and Luke was busking before every date of the Vamps tour (of which he was a support act) as a treat for his fans.

I'd say my favourite now is between Katy Perry and Lily Allen, couldn't pick a least favourite at all cause I've enjoyed each one so much!

If I had to pick a favourite I would say it's probably Mariah or Beyoncé. I was gold circle for Beyoncé and right up front for the part where she did All Night and Party, that was magical Mariah was surreal, I never thought I'd get the chance to see her! Always Be My Baby was my highlight

I don't have any coming up but I'm hoping Gaga announces something soon. Britney and Janet are top of my wish list, but Britney is kinda impossible unless she leaves Vegas I had tickets to see Janet but she cancelled

On Tuesday I'm seeing Bastille for the second time and I'm RIDICULOUSLY excited ─ my first concert for over a year and I've got brilliant seats . Plus it's with a friend (last time it with with my mum which wasn't exactly ideal considering the only song she knew was Pompeii ) so that's always good

I couldn't possibly begin listing all the acts I've watched over the years. Having been an avid festival-goer in my late teens/early 20s the acts quickly piled up. That being said over the past 2-3 years my gig attending has rapidly decreased and has made my appearance at a February 2017 Bon Iver gig something that I FRANKLY CANNOT WAIT 4.

I got tickets to see You Me At Six in April the other day, I'm not sure if my friend is gonna be able to make it though, she said she wanted to go but would get back to me but they announced that Tonight Alive and Black Foxxes are supporting them and I got too excited so went and got them, I've not told her yet so I'm hoping when she does get back to me its to say she is up for it

I'm also going to my first Concert (excluding the 2010 Girl Guides Big Gig ) that's outside of Scotland in September to see Lorde, I mean it was only a matter of time before Lotti and I went to a concert together, I'm SO SO hyped for that, especially since Liam is coming too!

I'm rly starting to get into going to concerts more often now <3 Lana was incredible as I've said about a thousand times on here anyway!

Reading festival was so so good, I loved it and I rly wanna go for the whole weekend next time *.* Muse were incredible as ever, Liam/Blossoms were shit and Charli was fab even though I only saw 20 mins but it looked like we weren't gonna be able to see any of her set so I was so glad with that! (Charli/HAIM/Halsey all clashed with Muse </3 but Liam finished early so we ran and saw some of Charli's set!). She legit did all my faves as well, that timing *.* (After The Afterparty, Boys, 3am, Doing It, the last 20 secs of break the rules *.*)

Gaga for the first time in Manchester on Oct 17 which will be a f***ing moment *.* I was gonna see Little Mix on Oct 19 in Glasgow but I never really cared that much about that one anyway and we decided we'd rather make a bit of a trip out of Gaga instead so sold them. Probably gonna cry for the first time in a concert when I see her Katy Perry next June, also in Glasgow!

I'm also definitely gonna try and get tickets for Taylor and Zara (if she tours here) in 2018 and if Rih releases an album probably her as well, happy to accept anything you can give me to help pay for these x

I have 3 concerts coming up now which is the most upcoming I've ever hard Lotti's friend who can no longer go is selling me her Gaga ticket so I am going to see her in Birmingham and will DEFFO cry. I have PVRIS in Nov and Lorde next month. Really looking forward to both as both smashed what I thought with their recent albums <3

When I get student loan I am 100% saving like £250 so I can see Taylor however much she charges for her tickets (I have a feeling she is gonna take the piss but idc), because that absolutely 100% needs to happen and I'll go on my own idc. Then of my faves I only need to see Kelly and Selena, I can imagine the former touring in 2018 tbh.

This Is The Kit (28/01/2018. Live at my local record store. Some of the songs I heard them play included Silver John, Moonshine Freeze, Bullet Proof and my favourite Hotter Colder. After the live acoustic session, I got my copy of Moonshine Freeze on CD signed by the lead singer Kate Stables)

I went to all points east festival yesterday and it was f***ing incredible *.* i saw the xx, Lorde, Lykke Li, Stefflon Don, Rex Orange County & Sevdaliza *.*

Lorde was off my highlight and I'm so glad I've finally got to see her live, green light was something else 😍😍 The xx slayed and I didn't know much of Lykke before last night and I'm now obsessed with her *.*

I can't think of a venue in Edinburgh actually suitable. They could host a theatre tour but a proper Arena tour or a tour taking in decent sized venues wouldn't have anywhere I can think of to go. Edinburgh lacks a venue like the Armadillo.

Just got back from a crazy day which revolved around seeing Why Don't We at Shepherd's Bush Empire this evening. Preceded by a trip to their hotel (the wrong hotel first... then a dash across London to the correct one lol x), hanging around by the stage door and getting a fist bump off my fave, Jack Avery *.* the gig was so much fun - interestingly the first time I've ever bought a resale ticket as I missed out on the original sale! It was very expensive but so so worth it. Their set was 20 songs long (including my current song of the year Trust Fund Baby ), although all were quite short so it was an hour long in the end, finishing at 9:40 (quite early for a gig!). On such a high right now and I can't wait until they come back to the UK again - aiming for VIP tickets next time...!

Oh my! How many have you been to in total would you say?

I definitely wish I could go to more concerts than I do, but sometimes I have to take an "I'll see them another time" approach if I'm a bit short of money. :') I do have some slight regrets about tours I've missed out on though, for instance I'd have loved to have seen Rihanna on her Last Girl on Earth and Loud tours.

Nice list Jade! I agree I really wanna see Coldplay, and Craig David - I bet he was awesome live! I'd like to see George Ezra live as well but his tour sold out so quickly recently that that's gonna be almost impossible now. I'd love to see Take That, Kylie and also Pharrell Williams if he ever tours again as I had to cancel to see him last time (although I imagine he needs another 'Happy' size hit for that to happen).

Do Buzzjackers think concerts are overpriced? I haven't been to one for years. My late daughter saw Nicole Sherzinger and think she paid about £50 about 7 years ago. I ask because there's a thread on DS about it at the moment and most posters say there are overpriced. What do you think? I think they're on a par with theatre tickets really. We want to see the Tina musical in the West End but the best available seats today are well over £100 for the week after next when it's my wife's birthday. I'd pay up to £60 maybe.

Also - love the 02 Academy at Bristol, saw Foals there among many other bands like Friendly Fires. Usually between day shifts and feeling unnecessarily hungover/knackered at work.

Another one to add to my 2019 list... Mariah Carey at the Royal Albert Hall *.* I'm going with Joseph!

I've only been to the Royal Albert Hall once before, way back in 2002 for a Christmas Carols concert that my parents took me to, but my memory of being there is hazy... so I'm sure this Mariah concert will feel like my first time there tbh!

I'm just gonna chance it here cos why not 🙊 I'm not hoping for much tbh but if there's anyone here who happens to be in Ireland today and likes Massive Attack and would be open to seeing them (and me) live, I wouldn't mind hearing from you cos I have 2 tickets for tonight's show but the other person is reluctant to come now and I don't want to drag him along.

Actually getting round to talking about this here. The Midnight live was actually one of the best experiences... ever. The saxophonist was insane (like, every time he started playing I was in awe), the vocals were beautiful, Tyler sounds just as good live as in studio, Nikki Flores joined for Jason and a couple of others, the live electronic stuff was really cool, really interested in seeing bands translate electronic stuff into a live setting and they did it so well, live drum triggers, launchpads, keyboards, the works. Savoir Adore were fantastic support and also had a great setup.

Also 2 BJSC entries in one concert! Gloria was ridiculously amazing to hear live. Nearly 3 but they didn't play The Years, understand why they didn't because it's a long one as much as I love it and they'd probably have had to sacrifice a song to fit it in. The main ones missing were The Years and Lightyears but other than that they played a perfect set. So much so that when they said they'd be back in November I went and got tickets for them again the following day- I've never done that before, usually as much as I love the experience I feel like there are so many artists I want to see and when I've seen them once that's a tick off the list- not that I wouldn't like to see them again but the money/ travel for a gig can be tough to do too much of. In this case I just want to see them again already. Got a few clips on my phone (not too many and mostly short ones bc I prefer to be in the moment/ don't like holding a phone up the whole time) but the quality was surprisingly good (on my previous phones the audio would just be garbled) and I still get chills watching some of them back.

Also discovered a great band for support and the fact Tyler Lyle does solo stuff ( ) because he did a solo song The Midnight had remixed which I wasn't aware of since the remix wasn't on streaming services (found it on Bandcamp and bought it x).

Almost a month ago now, but had the pleasure of meeting and seeing Jack Walton unexpectedly in a club when I was down in London. He was fantastic and can't wait to see him again some time if he's ever up in Scotland Have my Rita date on Wednesday, and I've just recently booked tickets for Ten Tonnes, Sigrid and Sam Fender.

I've been making my way through Drag Race from the beginning pretty rapidly over the past few weeks now too, so hoping to catch some of my favourite queens when they're touring, starting with Trixie next year! (nobody will come see Bianca in September though )

I've somehow never been to the O2 arena before. Ariana seems like a pretty fab place to start that journey with!

Back from seeing The Cure in Glasgow last night, and they were ruddy fantastic. I've wanted to see them live for ages, and they did not disappoint. Their set was a great mix of cuts from the entirety of their career (including a few songs they've only started playing again recently, like "Burn"), plus all their big hitters - their encore was 7 of their biggest songs one after another. Absolutely wonderful night, definitely one of the best gigs I've ever been to.

The support acts - Mogwai, Twilight Sad & Joy Formidable, weren't too bad either.

Going to see Vistas in October, then going to see Embrace/Cud/Starsailer in the new year. I've never heard of Starsailer and I know Cud have a fanbase exclusively of over 50s so that one's going to be interesting.

So I have just booked for my first gig of 2020 next year: The Boys Are Back Tour in Cambridge at the Corn Exchange on March 16th. It's Five (the Scott/Ritchie/Sean lineup), A1, Damage and 911 and I'm pretty buzzing to relive the boybands of my youth

I saw Inna last night and she was incredible. She has a great on stage presence and the live band gave her songs a much rockier edge. She sang loads of my favourites so it was great to hear them live and she had an amazing backdrop and visuals. I would definitely see her again and I’d recommend her concerts to other people.

I saw Swim Deep just over a week ago on the first date of their tour. They seemed to be well aware of the fact that it could be their last tour. As the album has flopped, I suspect that may be the case

I was also due to see Man And The Echo last week but the gig has been postponed until February. I now know why. They are supporting Divine Comedy on their tour. As I am going to the Brighton date on Wednesday, I get to see them after all. I have described Man And The Echo as like a cross between Divine Comedy and Franz Ferdinand, so this support slot makes sense. I am also seeing Richard Hawley on Friday, so it's a busy week.

Having said that(!), I never have the nerve to go to concerts alone... I wish I did, because there have been times I've missed out on concerts due to fear of feeling self conscious (I've missed out on seeing artists that I know none of my friends particularly like, or perhaps they couldn't afford to go, or the date of the concert wasn't ideal).

I've only ever been to one concert on my own (Spice Girls in 2007, which wasn't on purpose, it just worked out that way) and I was sat in between two different couples! I felt a bit awkward and the time seemed to go so slowly, but obviously once the Spice Girls were on stage I no longer cared and focused on the show! Nevertheless, I'm sure it's that moment which has put me off going to anything alone since then.
