quite impressive although with us sending an established performer for once I suppose that's not really to be a surprise.
hopefully it's not too long before we get the song announced now.
We'll be 100 - 1 come competition time, as always
At least the UK is getting some initial kudos for choosing an established artist
The semi-final odds are out and I think there are probably a couple that would be wrong x
SF1: Finland, Luxembourg and Cyprus are too high while Ireland should probably be safe after the pre-party performance
SF2: The top 6 look set to qualify. Denmark, Latvia and Malta are all in for a chance, so SF2 looks like the more open semi to me x
160/1 for San Marino!! When it's gonna be top 3!! The oddsmakers are gonna have egg on their face
Katrina and the Waves was the bookies favourite.
Have these updated yet?
Ive high hopes for good staging for Ireland this year, its the type of song that they can really play with the staging.

125/1 for UK seems generous!! The song flopped in charts across Europe, including in UK! No one wants it. San Marino should be tied with Italy at the top with Switzerland's odds.
I put £20 on Netherlands a few weeks ago and £5 on Italy.
I’m still not completely sold on Switzerland’s chances on the televote. Then again, Netherlands would need to be at least top ten on the jury vote to stand any chance, which may not happen. Italy seems like the song most likely to appeal reasonably highly to the jury and public, but I don’t expect that it will be top on either vote.
Croatia now fave!
Top 10;
5/2 Croatia
17/5 Switzerland
11/2 Ukraine
6/1 Italy
9/1 Netherlands
22/1 Israel
25/1 France
40/1 Ireland
50/1 Greece
100/1 Norway
UK @ 100/1
Ireland improving
Currently...
9/4 Croatia
18/5 Switzerland
5/1 Ukraine
11/2 Italy
9/1 Netherlands
20/1 France
25/1 Ireland
25/1 Israel
55/1 Greece
80/1 United Kingdom
And then a massive gap to 150/1 for Sweden/Norway/Austria.
Ireland and UK rehearsals showing promise!
Another improvement for Ireland is great, I put a bet on when bambie thug were first selected at 100/1 I done an each way bet.
I mean Jason's not exactly wrong. The bookies aren't naive in that they'd completely ignore such a situation that will always bring about a pocket of sympathy voters.
I haven't heard their entry this year but I think it's fair to say their entry last year was pretty unremarkable yet that was still given pretty good odds pre-contest.
Olly must be super nervous atm. I’m just hoping the performance can sell the song on the night.
To win;
9/4 Croatia
4/1 Switzerland
5/1 Italy
5/1 Ukraine
12/1 Netherlands
20/1 France
25/1 Ireland
30/1 Israel
50/1 Greece
70/1 United Kingdom
Omg ig Ukraine wins, they'll be gidting Eurovidion to Liverpool again!!! Only way it would ever come to UK tbh
Tourism numbers.
That's why Turin hosted and not Rome
Also Liverpool is such a great city and perfect for Eurovision. The Eurivisionhead honchos said they wished Eurovision could be helf in Liverpool every single year!
I've also put £10 on Ireland to win at 12/1 and £5 on Austria to finish last at 10/1. And that's it for my betting this year!
Ireland just looks spectacular, if Bambie gets a great final draw then that could surprise on the televote.
Austria I believe should still just about qualify, but I don't really see the juries backing it much and its public vote in the final will be diluted by the likes of Netherlands and maybe Finland, especially if they end up in the first half. It's pretty much always an auto-qualifer last, but France and Italy clearly won't be, Sweden should get decent jury support, UK just looks too good to be a last placer, and Germany could get solid jury support. Spain could very well be last, but you never know.
Irelands odds are almost improving by the day now, I really hope it translates into votes.
To win;
5/4 Croatia
4/1 Switzerland
7/1 Italy
9/1 Ukraine
12/1 Ireland
14/1 Netherlands
25/1 France
35/1 Israel
66/1 Greece
100/1 Lithuania
100/1 United Kingdom
Ireland!!! Croatia as low as 1/1.
The bookies are usually right but I just don’t see it being Croatia’s this year - lots of hype etc., but not convinced it’ll clinch the win.

Bookies seem to think Croatia have it in the bag now.
Ireland overtook Italy
i don’t see croatia getting it either. ireland are being a lil overhyped too unfortunately . if italy get a good running spot i think its theirs, or its just gonna be israel
if it wasn’t such an uncommon opinion i would shove austria up in the potentials too tbh
anyway all that to say i won’t be watching but following from afar lol. pls, if you’re thinking about it, boycott!
That is also before Switzerland has performed in the semi final - they will improve after tonight.
Well you're WRONG!!!
#crownthewitch
My friend shoved a tenner on Israel @ 66/1
We're now @ 200/1. Poor Olly
To win;
10/11 Croatia
3/1 Switzerland
11/1 Ukraine
18/1 Ireland
25/1 Italy
28/1 France
33/1 Netherlands
66/1 Israel
150/1 Greece
200/1 United Kingdom
From memory it’s about now in 2018 when Fuego overtook Toy in the odds, causing many to think there’d be the third shock winner in a row after Ukraine and Portugal (beating long time odds favourites Russia and Italy respectively) but Netta held on in the end. That year also had a huge rise for Ireland in the odds from the moment they qualified that didn’t translate into a big result in the final.
The only other close year in recent times, 2021, I think Italy had reached #1 in the odds by now (getting ahead of the battle between Switzerland, Malta and France) but it still came as a great surprise when that huge public vote came in. I’ll be very happy for a Croatia win this time, a cheap country who’ve never won before (1989 doesn’t count) would be ideal for next year!
Israel now 22/1 with a few bookies.
Israel won't win. It's just ok and there is a lot of controversy surrounding the entry being in thr contest at all.
Poland was actually relaly good!! Shoulda qualified
Croatia as low as 4/6
Good to see most bookies paying out 4 places for each-way punters for the Eurovision final.
Israel keep shortening. As low as 4/1 at the minute and second fave to win with some bookies
Switzerland now drifting out to 8/1.
Just basing Israel on the song and performance i dont see the big appeal its a fairly forgettable ballad.
Closest odds have Hurricane at 3.75 and Rim Tim Tagi Dim at 2.1, the former is pretty much shortening across the board and the latter is lengthening :/
It'll be between San Marino Italy Ukraine Croatia Switzwrland and Ireland for the win.
I did see the odds shortening quickly an hour ago when they were still out at 12/1, but I've got no interest in profiteering from their participation.
I will cross my fingers for a miracle.
Hurricane is already No.27 on UK iTunes too, I know it means little ultimately but The Code and Europapa are not top 100 (Kaleen is top 40 interestingly, but that's very UK-coded).
I expect to wake up and see Israel overtaking Croatia :/
Israel now as low as 3/1
Assuming juries only give Israel, say 80 points, and they then hypothetically get a clean sweep on the televote, would any other entry really be able to collect 500 points overall? If Croatia are to do it then they’d need all the 10s, which won’t happen, and at least 150 points from the juries. Quite a tall order to say the least and I don’t see anyone else managing it.
The jury would have to really get well behind Croatia or Ukraine in a big 200-250 points way I guess.
If Israel win it’ll change the contest totally - over to EBU who banned Russia and Belarus and will now have to deal with the fallout out of a potential Israel win and host.
We'll see what happens both diplomatically and in terms of public mood but on the current trajectory I don't see how the contest can be hosted by Israel next year, if it stays on the current trajectory that is.
All evidence points to this year's Israel vote as being minoritarian but I'm still cynical because it's difficult to imagine the situation being anymore catastrophic than it is now, and I fear that in a year's time fatigue will have set in and large swathes of the public just wouldn't care.
If the geopolitical situation with Ukraine had been different (and therefore, like Israel, Russian had never been banned in 2022) and Russia won this year, would the general population care enough about war crimes to be outraged at a Russia 2025 host now that the war is long gone from headlines?
To win;
6/5 Croatia
3/1 Israel
15/2 Switzerland
16/1 France
22/1 Ukraine
25/1 Ireland
35/1 Italy
80/1 Netherlands
250/1 Finland
250/1 United Kingdom
Israel as low as 2/1.
Can totally see France and Switzerland being top on the jury vote & then it’s all down to the public
Odds: (Coral)
Croatia 5-6f
Israel 9-4
Switzerland 6-1
France 12-1
Ukraine 14-1
Ireland 16-1
Italy 25-1
Netherlands 50-1
Austria 150-1

Sweden 200-1
Germany 300-1
Slovenia 300-1
Luxembourg 400-1
Portugal 400-1
Latvia 500-1
Serbia 500-1
Really hope Isreal aren’t in the top 10 at all, the fact they are second is a joke. Hoping the running order will knock them down and hoping the jury don’t give them loads of votes
Israel, were 20/1 with Coral now down to 9/4, the way this is going they could challenge Croatia for favouritism.
I can't see Israel getting much from the televote or the jury. Ireland will win jury vote. France's latest ballad is overhyped. Juries still haven't caught on tot he fact that those always flop these days.you can remove it from the odds for a clearer picture.
I think Israel is getting spammed in the bookies due to people thinking it eill ge tthe sympsthy vote after being booed. It eon't. If the vote DOES!! turn political, then Ireland will ALSO heavily benefit.
Did you miss the part where they got 39% of the votes in Italy?
Who did
Imagine thr propaganda win for Putin if Israel does win though!! He can scream about wrstern double standards and demand to be let back in!!!

Got Switzerland at 22/1 on the day it came out, and made £113. Think this was my first successful Eurovision bet since an each way on Bulgaria in 2016. Think Liam may have done even better from this win?
