Melfest is back back back again for heat two babies. We're bringing you a returning lip syncing twink, two 70+ ladies doing a slapstick routine, a dumpy girl with a big ballad, a hot piece of 90s synth throwback and, potentially, a Eurovision winner?
Strap yourselves in and get ready for another merciless night of fave slaughtering!
The only way is up after last week...!
The app voters tonight when they realise there's 4 female acts and they have to send one of them to the next round
Here for Dotter
Anton is fantastic. Great Voice, Fantastic Dancer. Very well rounded performer, but unfortunately not what Sweden needs to send this year.
Anton was k, not a patch on Begging.
Really liked both of the first two songs even if Julia especially is probably doomed!
Also Oscar is so freaking cute I can't
WAHL and Sami were really good, my fave so far
Sarah Dawn Finer would have killed this song, shame they didn't save it for her.
RENA RAMA DING DONG DIREKT TILL FINALEN
Eva and Ewa woke up and chose camp chaos and I am here for it!
Eva and Ewa must progress, hilarious and massively catchy too *.* the backing dancers
I liked the first four songs to varying degrees, probably Rich and 90-Talet more than the other two.
Nothing special so far but Eva and Ewa are entertaining in a Children in Need/Comic Relief novelty song kinda way.
Patrick Jean by far is the worst of the bunch. As good as the other songs are, I fully expect Dotter will be the clear frontrunner.
I LOVED Tears Run Dry, really hope it goes through
I can see Patrick Jean being the 2nd direkt finalist, as much as I’m rooting for Eva och Ewa.
I didn’t care much for Tears Run Dry on first listen.
Little Tot is fantastic, wow, amazing follow up to Bulletproof
Yessss Dotterrrrrr
Dotter was good, but it's not fully grabbed me yet like Bulletproof did.
Dotter's is so bloody GREAT. can't cope.
Dotter knocked it out the park - don't screw this up Sweden!
Predictions:
DTF: Dotter, Anton
AC: WAHL ft SAMI, Patrick Jean
5th: Eva and Ewa
6th: Julia
7th: Frida
Predix
DTG: Dotter, Anton Ewald
AC: WAHL & Sami, Patrik Jean
5th: RENA RAMA DING DONG
6th: Julia Alfrida
7th: Frida Green
Want
DTG: Patrik Jean, RENA RAMA DING DONG
AC: WAHL & Sami, Dotter
5th: Anton Ewald
6th: Frida Green
7th: Julia Alfrida
Dotter is deffo the best there.
Not WAHL & Sami not getting through.
Gutted for WAHL & Sami
is the guy in the red hat a Swedish rapper?
Can see this becoming one of my favourite songs of the year. She’s really in it to win it - again!
As much as I love Bulletproof.... Little Tot is in a league of its own.
Sucks we have to wait 2 more weeks.
YASSSS. i'm obsessed!
She sold me on the second listen, all aboard for Dotterdam!
The good thing about Dotter is that she might not get screwed by the televote in May.
Nah get that fire exit door, I'm off
Oops at Patrick. Amazed Anton did that well, although it’s very young voter friendly, reminds me of Youngblood by 5SOS.
Hope Eva and Ewa can make it through Andra Chansen, can’t wait to spam it on Spotify *.* nice for Frida too, it really is very Sarah Dawn Finer-esque so I’m not hugely surprised at that.
DAME HARLOT NEXT WEEK *.*
The best two songs going DTF, this week is MUCH more like it (though having to wait 2 weeks to get the studio versions is already killing me x)
Frida's song was lovely but surprised it did enough to go through! Eva and Ewa was... something it certainly stood out. Julia's song was great if an obvious no-hoper, I thought WAHL might catch on more though. Patrik's song had potential but some iffy vocals which put me off a bit.
“‘little Tot” is excellent. That drop in the first chorus is just exquisite. Three absolute tracks from her now.
Bulletproof is really going to take some beating in my affections but Little Tot really feels like not just a Eurovision smash but a worldwide hit! Stellar, I do love it already.
having heard the full versions, I'm holding onto the minority opinion that Julie Alfrida had the best pop song in this competition so far.
"Little Tot" is alright, better than the clip suggested. Very fun stuff from Eva and Ewa though, glad that's progressed a bit.
Look at the YouTube views for semi two. Ding dong has more views than the rest combined
