Obviously my Eurovision season has been dominated by one song really, here for Ireland and Bambie Thug tonight and I am so hyped that they seem to be getting the reaction I felt they should when I first heard 'Doomsday Blue'; haven't seen the full performance yet but what I've heard about it sounds phenomenal.
as long as the rest of the bunch are broadly what's predicted to qualify I'll be good.
Didn’t expect Ireland to be the dark horse to emerge from rehearsals, but I’m here for it! This is definitely the weaker semi, my main favourites (Croatia and Ireland) are safe qualifiers, hopefully Lithuania and Slovenia make it too, I feel the former will but not the latter but we’ll see.

Saw the jury show here in Malmo last night and Doomsday Blue is INCREDIBLE. I can't even @ the way I came to Malmo with this like 24th for me, and then last night, I nearly lost my voice for gasping and screaming. Every inch of the staging has been thought through with such precision, everything hits, slight tweaks to the live version make the ending feel so impactful. I- WE-
I also felt Croatia as a winner of the whole thing for the first time, for sure, he's come a long way since the national final in terms of stage presence.
The hype is here ladies! Looking forward to being glued to the TV screen for the Ireland-UK-Ukraine run of performances.

Serbia's quite the vibe, it takes a little while to get going but while I haven't made myself super familiar with it pre-season I know it's... good, doesn't quite take off completely but I like this performance for the most part

Very emotional performance but the staging looked quite empty especially towards the end
Her managing to push those notes while holding the mic a metre away from her mouth notwithstanding, that was rather boring especially by Serbian standards.
Cyprus sounded terrible until Serbia came on.

I read the comments on the UK thread... Olly's vocals aren't that bad - in fact i'd say it was easily the best so far
Hmmmm. They made an effort with the staging but I didn't find the song very memorable if I'm honest - thought Olly got better as he went along.
Ollys vocals are fine, the first big note at the end was a bit off but other than that it’s passable. I did feel some of the camera movements felt a bit clunky though, which I didn’t notice earlier.
The vocals are pretty average but did get better towards the end! The staging however is phenomenal!
Lithuania was catchy and should easily qualify.
I think all the Y&Y singles are better than Dizzy sadly.
I’d be so here for Ireland to be a dark horse winner, such striking and incredible staging.

Ooooo this one from Ukraine is by far my favourite so far
Ollys vocals have been worse so it was fairly good in parts but the staging was so impressive.
Ukraine’s is a banger.
Okay to be fair Ukraine has been quite a quiet favourite for me and it's sounding suitably epic now I see that performance in a Ukrainian context, not to be counted out by any means.

Ukraine is solid but I'm not digging using the melody change for the final chorus to the first chorus unforch 
I feel like that was a moment to sync with the choir rather than vocal show-off.

Song was already relying heavily on my love for tacky eurodance to register at all and it's fine to listen to but this is quite the downgrade

It feels like they're trying to recapture the Kaarija moment but it's so intentional that it doesn't stick, Kaarija's weirdness felt more organic.
Couldn`t enjoy the last part of windows95man performance due to the rather large photo of BGT guy in budgie smuglers.
Finland was okay - but the staging oddly didn't really work all the way through which kinda ruined the 'joke'. The song didn't seem too bad though.
Finlans should have sent Cha... Cha Cha Cha ... (Cha Cha?) this year instead. It was green arm's man massive ego and obsession with beating Loreen, to feed said massive humongous ego, that led to him clsshing with Loreen, hoovering up the votes between two winning tracks.

This is an example of Sweden's worst tendencies for me, very bland Spotify-pop that always does well enough for them to never take much of a risk. We haven't had a Swedish language song since 1998!

Whilst Ireland wasn't my fave, its good to that it got through to have some diversity among the yelping women next to boulders - which seems to be a thing this year

I guess it goes to show that slow songs can still go through on televotes with Serbia, Slovenia AND Portugal through!
The results pretty much aligned with my ranking besides my #11 (Finland) making it in instead of my #9 (Iceland) so can’t complain lol. Was worried for Croatia and Ireland for a second.

Would have Poland and Australia over Serbia but I won't complain after Ireland qualifying which was what I really wanted.
Slovenia was one of my clear favourites, and the others were Greece, Poland and Moldova. I wasn't keen on the Irish entry but I'm glad they made it, I just knew Luxembourg was going to be the last country to be picked, for some reason after 31 years since their last appearance, and how on earth did Finland and Portugal got through, my guess Poland and Moldova just missed out at 11 and 12.
I expected Australia over Luxembourg and would've loved Azerbaijan to go through but overall I'm very pleased with the results

So when Serbia, Portugal, and Slovenia were announce as the first 3 qualifiers, I definitely thought we were heading for the same as I had a few years ago (where literally all of my least faves qualified 😂). Thankfully that turned around!
'The Tower' is actually my 2nd fave competing song tonight, that performance really was not it (that when I knew it - when it was already only a borderline qualifier - was dead and buried). I was surprised at how into 'grito' I was, but I'm a sucker for a basic bop - still not surprised at Iceland failing to qualify though!
Bambie was as fantastic as I expected: will do big things in the final. And 'Dizzy' was amazing... Let down slightly by the vocals, hopefully he can get that under control on Saturday!
