Talks of Rob being part of a new band called Lufthaus, ( Thanks to https://www.robbiewilliamslive.com/news/rwl-2/sway-le-nouveau-robbie-williams for the heads up on this ) . There seems to be some connection with Armada music platform which featured Bob Sinclair & Ron on the Electrico Romantico track in 2019

A company called Lufthaus was registered in London in JUNE 21'. Directors Ronnie Williams/Tim Clarke/Michael Loney , it is described sound recording and music publishing

In November 2019 – Universal Music Publishing Group (UMPG), a leading global publishing company, today announced the signing of a global administration deal with Robbie Williams’ publishing company, Farrell Music. The agreement includes Robbie Williams’ existing catalogue and future works.
Robbie Williams makes comeback with obscure band and nobody noticed
It seems very likely that Robbie Williams (48) has made his comeback in a new band after more than a year of silence. The singer can unmistakably be heard on the group's debut single Lufthaus, but the band and the artist themselves have not said a word about it and his name is nowhere to be seen. New music by Robbie Williams, one of the most successful artists of recent decades, is usually big news in Europe. In 2016, his record company bought expensive TV airtime in England to announce a new album during an X Factor commercial break . With 2.4 million followers on Instagram and Twitter, a single message would quickly attract attention, but it has been quiet there for a month and a half. Corona had hardly any impact on Robbie Williams' social life: 'Have been isolated since 1993' Virtually no fan noticed that Williams launched a new song a week ago with Armada, the record company that was co-founded by Armin van Buuren. The song is called Sway , the band Lufthaus. A press release went out and the group promoted the song on a newly created Instagram profile, but that went under the radar given the 239 followers. It wasn't until last night that the song went viral on social media fans. The puzzle pieces are there. Williams appears to have already given a taste of the song in a live broadcast on Instagram during the pandemic. He was already planning to start a band under a different name with producers Tim Metcalfe and Flynn Francis, with whom he has been collaborating for some time. While none of them are mentioned in the press release, it does speak of "three friends" and "decades" of experience. House-like underground music is uncharted territory for Williams, who said he hopes fans will enjoy the music in clubs. It's not just a single: the band promises an entire album, live performances and 'digital experiences' for the coming months. The identity of the band members has been kept secret on purpose, the group says.
It's not the first time Williams has flirted with band life and a pseudonym. For example, he liked not being alone on stage when he briefly returned to boy band Take That in 2010 and he toyed with the idea of releasing his album Intensive Care under a different name around 2004. Lufthaus seems to be a side project for Robbie, who will probably also release an album under his own name this year. He is thus celebrating his 25th anniversary as a solo artist.

He's doing something I think he has wanted to do for a long time , might not be my cup of tea but I admire him for doing his own thing , will be interesting to see how it develops over the summer months

That part of Europe are very loyal to artists even those who have been around for quiet a long time. I know many established singers here in Ireland who may not be that appreciated at home but who have a massive following in those countries.

Dance is doing extremely well at the moment! Though the big hits recently have been from previously unknown DJs. Unfortunately Avicii died in 2018

It was the worst kept secret on the Island as Robbie Williams broke his Ibiza virginity to wow the crowd by joining Lufthaus at 528 Ibiza, the venue on the outskirts of San Antonio that has undergone a major facelift.
Despite the usual Ibiza no-show rumours the self styled ‘entertainer’ from Stoke on Trent bounced on to the stage in what looked like an expensive pair of silk pyjamas. The atmosphere was electric as he set the tone early by saying it wasn’t a night for Ángels, his most iconic hit, it would prove to be an interesting night and a clear departure from his comfort zone.
Williams has just released a new single with Lufthaus and that was clearly what he was here for – to promote his new house music direction. Whether it is a midlife crisis or boredom from singing ballads to a middle aged crowd stuck in the 90s he embraced his new challenge with both hands.
This was an island party, mainly local residents and their friends on the guest list keen to see the Robster perform for the very first time on the White Isle in a beautiful, reinvented venue. If you were there for the hits then you were only treated to a few lines from ‘Feel’, Robbie you big tease!.
Williams didn’t travel to Ibiza to bash out his back catalogue and he looked like he was having a whale of a time behind the DJ box before sporadically coming to the front of the stage to engage the crowd with some dad dancing that most middle aged men will identify with. His stage presence was there for all to see as he threw himself (literally) into the hour long set with vocals, dancing and twiddling a few knobs on the DJ rig.
The purists might grimace and some unfair comparisons were made on the night with other artists attempting to reinvent themselves as a house DJ but regardless of snobby asides Williams has an undoubted musical pedigree that gives him gravitas to undertake this new challenge and be given some respect.
His old band mate Howard Donald has been on the DJ circuit for years, Craig David is still wowing crowds at Ibiza Rocks with his all action TS5 show and even celebrity chef Gok Wan was on the island a few weeks ago playing tunes for Clockwork Orange (but the less said about Paris Hilton the better).
The majority of the crowd last night loved the occasion and left happy – it was a win/win/win for a guest list heavy crowd, the 528 venue who announced themselves to the world and an established recording artist craving to do something different. Some might be disappointed that the lighters didn’t come out for an Angels encore but they can always book a ticket on his next greatest hits tour in a cold city rather than this intimate evening in the balmy Ibiza countryside, this was a million miles away from Knebworth.
My only small gripe was that a genuine house remix of one of his big hits would have truly brought the house down while protecting his integrity but alas it wasn’t to be. There were many rumors circulating in Ibiza, and finally on the night of this past Thursday, August 11, the best expectations were met. The star Robbie Williams performed by surprise on the white island, specifically in the amphitheater of 528 Gardens, one of the fashionable Ibizan clubs, located in an outdoor area in the hills of Benimussa and whose musical and gastronomic proposal is enjoying an excellent reception by the local public and tourists.
The Briton attended as a guest of Lufthaus, one of the greatest sensations of the international dance scene of the moment that has the acclaimed producers Tim Metcalfe and Flynn Francis. While the performance of the electronic band had been known for days, the identity of their special guest had been kept in the strictest secrecy. And in fact, it wasn't revealed until the last moment.
Night fell when to the surprise of everyone present Robbie Williams took the stage. Another very famous British musician who has been spotted in Ibiza this summer is the founder of the band Oasis, Noel Gallagher. The singer and guitarist was seen eating with his family in a restaurant on the island, and the rest of the diners did not miss the opportunity to sing a cappella one of his greatest hits, 'Wonderwall', while he tried to follow his own.

This music is not my cup of tea but my colleague loves it. She has heard Lufthaus in the radio and she remembered the name because she liked it so much and only later I told her that it was Robbie.
But actually it wasn't so bad to hear this kind of music in Munich, because it fits to a concert and the open air atmosphere there. At least in the beginning, however towards the end it was just too long for me. They played 3/4 of an hour and every song went on and on and on for 10 minutes and more. Over time I found it boring but of course that is a matter of taste. And I missed Robbie, because I thought he would be with them on stage or at least join them for the last 5 minutes but that didn't happen .

In fact it's a possibility to give some freshness to Robbie's fan base. You know it's not so easy to get new supporters from young audience.
Don't forget that this tour will not have orchestra.
Also must say that it's only 40-min set around other music

Does anyone else think that the timing of the launch of Lufthaus is really bad, I think it might be totally confusing for some people especially the fact that Rob does not appear on stage as part of the band. I know that would be impossible for Rob given he is doing the main show. I know that it is an opportunity for a lot of people to hear the music but I am not so sure if it will help the identity on the band . I feel it might be a project that they launched at a different time & performed at some of the EDM festivals around Europe. Is this just a hobby for Rob or a real go at doing something different.

I do not look at Lufthaus like a band for long period. It's a one-off project, I'm sure.

During one of his interview Rob told that this tour will not be accompanied by full orchestra because it's very expensive to organize.
Maybe there will be some exclusive dates like Amsterdam or London or maybe partly orchesrated (4-5 additional members for some songs) but not in full Mode.
P.S. also there was a rumour of Albert Hall with full orchestra but not sure.

I would love to see a complete tv show & some live gigs with the orchestra, a bit of a different experience & may persuade more people to buy the album

But I'm a little bit afraid after that awful Christmas TV Special a few years ago =)))) It's the reason why people stopped to buy this great album. He needs another one but better quality! Not album but TV Special.

The issue with Rob is that he is totally unpredictable so you can never trust him . I have never watched that Xmas special & given that I always hated that 'couch scenario' I am never going to, it just lacks that bit of class imo OK I know some fans just love it but I see it as 'cringe '
I really like this album & some of new arrangements for the hits have turned out to be wonderful .
I guess we will see the dance album early next year . How is he going to promote it in Europe , maybe he will launch it during the Europe leg of the tour , could well be Germany

I'm guessing Rob's part in this is really a sideline & the Aussie guys are looking after releases etc. He must be really busy with his own tour. He already said there was not going to be an album so I am guessing they will release more tracks as they go along, maybe they are holding back the best for Germany

The track has had 83k views so far on YT & is doing way better than any of the earlier releases & seems to be gaining traction. The track has a great beat to it & I think may do very well in Europe. Rob is on tour mainly in Germany in the month of FEB so plenty of time to have it heard in the coming months.

Robbie Williams' Lufthaus is set to release her debut album later this year by ME editors 03/09/2023
As recently as January 2023, Robbie WIlliams said that Lufthaus might remain a live project. This thought seems to have been forgotten now. Lufthaus, the electronic band centered around Robbie Williams , is reportedly planning to release its debut album this fall. There is no official confirmation, nor is a release date or album title known.
Lufthaus was formed in December 2020 by Williams and Australian songwriters and producers Tim Metcalfe and Flynn Francis. At this point the trio didn't have a name yet . Francis, Metcalfe and Williams have known each other since at least 2012, through their collaboration on his record TAKE THE CROWN.
"Sway" was released in February 2022. The first single by Lufthaus, which until then was only known to have played live shows in Ibiza. It was only when "Soul Seekers" followed in October of the same year that fans realized that the third member of the dance formation was Robbie Williams and that Lufthaus was the band formed in 2020. In an interview in January 2023, the 49-year-old then announced that there were enough Lufthaus songs for several albums. However, he left open whether it should remain a pure live project. That thought seems history now. It was also said in the same interview. that he plans to release two albums this year. The relationship between solo works and those of the trio within this plan is unclear.
Robbie Williams is currently on a European tour with "XXV - 25 Years of Hits", with Lufthaus playing support.

I think it must be very must a side project for Robbie but when it comes to the other guys I do not know . I have no idea how to measure success when it comes to EDM ... the last tune that they released I really liked ( Unloveable ) . Do not think I would be interested in a whole album but that's just showing my age I guess

It follows the handful of previous releases Lufthaus have had which include ‘Sway‘, which was shared anonymously last year, and ‘Soul Seekers’, which was released when Williams was announced as part of the project.
