The Results
...won't be happening at 10AM this morning, don't worry. I'll give a time of 19:00 to start but may be a bit later. I've posted this thread now for a few reasons:
- So you can make predictions and hype to your heart's content
- So everyone's had all day to see this and so you've got no excuse to not be following along and leaving me to post the results all on my lonesome.
- So the one person who hasn't voted remembers to vote (the deadline is EXTENDED until about 3pm today) alongside anyone else who would like to vote.

Slightly later than billed, but let's get this show on the road! First of all, let's remind ourselves of the jerseys:
Yellow Jersey - The ultimate award. Won by the song with the most points at the end of the contest.
Green Jersey - The sprints jersey. Won by the song with the most top marks (e.g. +12s if we were using that format)
Polka-Dot Jersey - The mountains jersey. Won by the song which appears in the most sets of votes.
White Jersey - The young rider's jersey. Won by the highest-positioned song released within the past 15 months. (yes I changed this once I realised only one song fit the criteria so now two songs fit the criteria ).

So I begin with my votes, in the same fashion as usual. My selection was the song from last year’s Commonwealth Games, which I thought was in the past year and hence why I’ve changed the definition of the White Jersey. Zinedine Zidane gets my 12 and thus sweeps up all the jerseys except for the White Jersey which goes to Chin Up. The only other White Jersey contender (aka me) is placed nicely in last.

Mack is the second person to vote. He sent Lift Me Up by Moby, which appeared in the intro to the ITV F1 coverage alongside lots of scantily clad women and a random bird. He plumps for almost a completely different set of songs than me, however our votes together put Allez Ola Ole and Metalingus both on 8 points – Jessy gets the polka-dot due to getting a +6 as opposed to two +4s. Three songs still on zero.

So it was Jake who sent the iconic The Chain which may have been a discovery for somebody? Actually thinking about it probably was for Whoddy who doesn’t seem to know any songs from before 2016. He gives Hooverphonic his +12, throwing that to the top of the list and giving it the green by default as no song has more than one +12 as of yet. Metalingus is now the only song to get votes from all three voters so far, getting the polka dot, and I overtake Chin Up (yay!) giving me the White. Only one song on nul now.

So it was Mattias who sent the current leader (a song which was performed in all its glory in the 2000 opening ceremony for the Euros) (and he sent Hooverphonic to BJSC years before I did , but through his votes he throws away that lead and throws Vangelis to the top of the pack. He also hands out the fourth different 12 of the night, meaning that there’s still no clear winner for the Green Jersey and so Vangelis gets that as well. Moby and Perfecto Allstarz shoot up to 2nd and 4th respectively following their high points. Mattias keeps up the trend of voting for Alter Bridge, helping them retain the polka-dot, and I get a few more points to add to my white.

Whoddy now, who sent the quirky football song moaning about how bad England are, with the chorus ‘chin up England, it’s not that bad!’ It wasn’t in the end – we made the Semis! Bad luck Rhythm Method. Whoddy not only gives Metalingus points, he awards it a +12, shooting the song up to 3rd and giving us our fifth different 12 from five votes. Hooverphonic are back in the lead anyway, and take back the two jerseys previously held by Vangelis. Vengaboys also get their first points, marking the end of nul points!

King Rollo gets the honour of being the middle vote, sending a nice football song complete with some odd and not-so-odd pictures, and finally we have a clear leader in the Green Jersey! Vangelis gets the honour of green without being leader, we have a new leader overall in the face of Perfecto Allstarz, who also relieve Metalingus of the polka-dot jersey by getting their fifth vote. Our 8th votee is Chrizly, a relative newbie to the site (although I’ve known him for a good four years now). He is the only competitor to send a WWE song despite our fairly dedicated WWE community on here, and probably the rock-iest song to be entered as well. He also actually does a decent commentary (this is what I was looking for guys!!1) and gives Suedey his third 12, increasing his lead in the green s well as giving him the yellow. Another vote for Hooverphonic (and nothing for Reach Up) means that Mattias now holds the polka-dot jersey. Vengaboys double their points, and I now get overtaken by Mr. Matador.

Next up it’s Bré, who sent me a SCATHING PM accusing me of sabotaging his entry, when in fact it was he himself who sent the song with the wrong link. I actually prefer the fan-made video though oops. And I’ve given him 12 of his 14 points so far so he can’t really complain (still think my +4 in BJSC was more momentous though). Anyway, Bré’s Top 5 votes go to the current Top 5, increasing their gap to everything else but also re-shuffling the order within them as Lift Me Up overtakes Reach Up. Bré also throws a sympathy point to Vengaboys who’s total increases to 5. All the jerseys stay the same.

Dobbo up next - if you were paying close attention to the threads you could probably work out that this was his entry as we allowed this despite it being a Top 10 - I’ve looked at the walk-on videos for Mr. Lewis and the difference between the song and the entrance is quite amusing. Despite being high up, Dobbo does a good job of not shooting himself in the foot, however an all-important 4 points to Hooverphonice puts Mattias in joint first with Suedey (two long songs at the top - who would have thought?) Mack now also takes reign of the polka-dot jersey will a full 8 votes. Vengaboys have also caught up with Chin up, yay!

Interestingly enough, no-one voted for all of the Top 6! It's just that the other songs got a lot of the lower points from people.
