I always liked Shane Warne as a cricketer and a commentator. I saw him play once in 2001 when Middlesex played Australia at Lords. He was fielding on the boundary near to where I was and was quite happy to sign autographs and engage in some banter with the crowd.
I've never really watched cricket but I used to hear Shane Warne's name a lot over the years so that alone shows the big and positive impact that he made in that sport and 52 is too young to die. RIP Shane Warne.
Gone too soon.
I remember my dad used to get up early to watch the cricket. I came down and asked how it was going for England. The response was that "Warne was up to his magic tricks again".
