An EP titled 'Unheard' featuring songs that didn't make the album is out on March 22nd.
Tracklisting:
1. Too Sweet
2. Wildflower
3. Barley (feat. Allison Russell)
4. Empire Now
5. Fare Well
Listening now to the new EP and all 4 new songs are faboulous
Too Sweet debuts at #2 in the US with 3,3 million streams!! How did that happen?
Im speechless
And the success of the other EP tracks shows how strong his fanbase is now.
Haven't heard the whole EP yet but caught 'Too Sweet' on NMF and instantly loved it! Looking forward to hearing the rest of the songs.
'Too Sweet' is #16 in the UK midweek update, #11 on the UK Spotify chart and #2 on the US Spotify chart - crazy!
the US figures are insane, 2.7 Million streams today
Great to see him doing well again as his last era didnt do aswell as expected.
Loving Too Sweet a lot right now.
This is very strong song and fab for him to get that top 10 hit for the second time!
'Too Sweet' debuted at #8 yesterday! 'Wildflower and Barley' also appeared at #86 with 'Empire Now' at #92.
The album also re-entered the chart at #42, after the EP was tagged onto it to become 'Unreal Unearth: Unheard'.
all kinds of amazing, was expecting Too Sweet to debut at #11 or something so I take #8 <3
Too Sweet is new #5 in the US!!!!
Hozier should have re-released his Unreal Earth album with these songs.
they did on streaming but guess you mean the physical
It could lead to them repackaging the album based on the current big interest.
problem is if they want vinyls, that needs a lot of time to be done
Frickin love that Hozier is relevant again
#1 on Apple's Today's Hits, moved up on HHUK + added to the Radio 1 playlist today - it could in with a shot at the official #1 next week!
1000% #1
I'd love to see hozier go number 1 officially
what I still don't understand is
why didn't he include Too Sweet in the original version of the album and is only putting it out now with the deluxe?
Leaving out too sweet on the album is baffling.
Maybe it didn't fit the album theme, I think the album is based on Dante or something like you know this trip to hell or something
so maybe it didn't fit, although I'm not sure if all tracks on the album are related to that...
It is so unexpected to see Hozier having such a sizeable hit.
Now #1 in the OCC’s update for today!
Wow imagine thinking he would EVER potentially have a bigger hit than Take Me To Church? What next, Passenger returns with a 2024 #1 as well?
But this is seriously good, can't believe I'm liking it as much as I am.
Id be very happy to see Hozier hold the number 1 now that he is there, i think its looking good to happen.
#1!
Is it possible that the Northern Attitude feature kinda put his name back out there after a lot of the GP forgot about him post TMTC?
Well done for his first UK #1!
Wasn't expecting him to do this well after the second album release years ago.
glad he got his first UK & Ireland #1, now we need the US #1
he talks about the meaning behind the song in here
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7SlteYDv9Lo
He has waited a long enough to get his number 1 so I'm sure it means a lot to him and he is probably as surprised as we are by the success of it.
It's good too it's giving his album sales a bit of a lift aswell.
new US #1 yay
First #1 for Hozier in the US after Take me to Church stalled at #2
and first Irish #1 in the US since Sinead's Nothing Compares 2 U in 1990!!
at least the US was spared of Westlife and Boyzone
Why does the chorus melody of 'Too Sweet' remind me of Aneka's song 'Japanese Boy'?
Got the rave.dj website to make this mash-up:

This is sounding absolutely delightful in the sun
It really does!
There's now a video! Clearly made on the fly, but good to have nonetheless.
