Welcome! Yes! Welcome so much to the final stage of The Unknown Pleasures IX – the fantastic, almighty, ground shaking, nail biting, hair ripping, arm waving and fabulously amazing results! The time has finally come and I have indeed prepared almost everything for tonight. And these aren’t just any results show.. no it isn’t! As I have some special treats for you all! There are some additional, interesting, stimulating, fun, good looking and creative features embedded in tonight’s show!

Allow me to explain:

1. First of all. The reason I’m opening this thread so early is to make some discussion before I begin. Also because I have some questions for you to answer. In addition to the results from the voting, there is another scoreboard dedicated to guessing what you think others have sent. You’ll get one point for each correct guess, and at the end of the results I will reveal the winner of that as well! Just give it a shot, even if you’re unsure. You may just be right!
(Limited to two guesses each person each time.)
2. I have been working on something for this that has taken me a great deal of time to create. Here it comes: I have drawn (in paint) each person’s nickname. All in completely different ways! Some are quite funny, others beautiful, a few downright ugly I suppose, but most of them indeed interesting! And I promise you.. they DO get better as I have made more and more of them. Don’t just judge by the first one, give me chance! So.. yeah.. I hope no one is offended and I really hope most of you enjoy them for what they are I’m not an expert, but that is part of the charm, right?

We can appreciate that Zoo Kid is out getting some ribs for now as he probably wouldn't like the beginning of this, but Elliphant sure would - as she is still in the lead! A LOT of things can and will change during this evening, but does she have a shot at top five? Either way we see Teeth climb from the bottom to a space(s) at the top with 20 points - and just like Elliphant - both Cloetta & Cornetta + Zhala and Little Majorette gets points consecutively.

Zhala manages to hold on to their lead! And thankfully, because of some alternative votes from zechhh there are only 6 participants with no points as of yet. As a result, Royseven climbs to top ten even just having received points once. Also, Zhala and Cloetta & Cornetto are the only ones who have received points consecutively since the beginning.

How easy I am to second guess! I'm expecting to come bottom five, but I'm still glad that I sent something that didn't sound like the rest of the pack, to my ears at least, didn't notice any other uptempo Swedish language indie-pop songs in here anyway!

Zoo Kid and Absofacto finally receive some, but needless to say, there is nothing more ironic than being at the bottom with ZERO points collected and simultaneously singing "I am a collector!" But yeah, one point for Asbjörn hinders him in getting too big of a lead, while Lemonade and Elliphant charges ahead just behind. Tanline as well, as they fly up from outside the top ten, to almost inside the top five! Oh and “finally” no points at all for 'Looking for love' and 'Slippin around'. Imagine that!

Johnkm doesn't think Big Fox is boring AT ALL, and gives it a full 20 points, temporarily saving them from the bottom ten. Andain too, actually! How kind of him. To be perfectly honest with you, I was going to draw a penis or something somewhere in that banner to make it as random (furlong) as it can get, but I decided not to because all in all that would be a bit too childish and silly Anyway! Zhala gets 15 points for the second time in a row and is just FOUR points from taking the lead! Linnea Henriksson gets 10 points again as well, and Little Majorette climbs some more. As do Silhouette (a huge deal, actually!). Oh and randomfurlong himself does quite well in the top ten at the moment.

Who are these people voting late? And why are so many of them in the top ten? Who are they? Well it's not Mart!n, but he doesn't like giving points to the top two, and is therefore helping the ones in the middle of the scoreboard the most. Despite being a bit slippery, Zhala holds on to that first place! Although Little Majorette is really starting to be a strong contender too, as they're only one point behind second place Asbjörn. We still don't know anyone else in the top ten as tonyttt31 is another participant at the bottom. He probably feels a bit blue about that! alin's entry is perfectly midtable here, and alin does not make it any more clear of who's going to win this because they award points mostly to the lower half of the scoreboard. That said overall this was a VERY noticeably commercial contest. There was a lot in this which could've very easily passed for the more indiefied stuff in the BJSC (my entry included). Not to say that I didn't enjoy it (most of it was right up my street), but I want to find another Penny Black or USA Boys. At the moment there's not much of that about.

I was given the exact same deduction as if I'd not voted at all? That punishes me far more than had I not voted at all, given the deduction if you don't vote is to equal out the advantage you gain from there no longer being a set of votes where your entry is guaranteed to receive no points against everyone else receiving points. Surely this just acts as a disincentive to voting if you realise too late but you actually are intending to vote?

I think there's a slight problem with the voting system: if you vote your favorite songs (as I did so far) there's a possibility that you will "sabotage" your own song...

I like the 4 contests a year we've generally had... This one was pretty much exactly three months after the last (I remember the original deadline being my birthday (Feb 8th)) so starting on in August would be fine really, that gives three months. I don't see why people have to send brand new songs all the time, I'm not sure why Mikey sending a song people were listening to 6 months ago was seen to be such a bad thing?

Excellent hosting Freeze, slightly disappointed in my position but I knew it would've got lost, would probably have performed better with my 1st choice.

Oh I made that comment as I've only previously seen mention of Asbjørn in my personal chart so I assumed the person had picked it up from there (I'm sure Pavel probably didn't though to be fair).

It's also one of the tracks I've been considering for BJSC for the past two months so I think I pm'd it you at some point also, I think I suggested it to Cal in the mod forum also. Anyhow, it's a worthy winner for me as I do really like it so congrats Pavel.
