Looks like we'll be getting new solo Jorja Smith material for the first time since her 2021 EP "Be Right Back" on Thursday. Radio 1 have her scheduled as the hottest record for that date!
Yassss beyond excited for this her album.is genuinely up there with my best
Try Me is out now!!! No mention of a new album yet.
Stunning
Oh this is her best for me since her debut love it !
A new single 'Little Things' is out now! More upbeat on this one.
Oh yes this is more like it
She’s 2/2 for me, Little Things is a BOP !
After 5 years we are finally getting her sophomore record! 'Falling Or Flying' is out on the 29th of September!
Both singles so far are so good! I think I prefer Try Me but Little Things is a bop too. Excited for the album!
How am I only hearing Little Things now?! What a stomper. I did not see that outro coming either 💃
Nia Archives Remix out today. Love the video
'Little Things' is such a vibe, happy it's becoming such a big hit for her (would love it to eventually outpeak 'Be Honest'). I need to listen to 'Try Me' more as I thought it was also really good on first listen but sounded more like a grower. I've found her to be pretty inconsistent before but liking the direction this era is going in.
great song and the remix is even better
Another remix out today and this one has been added to the Capital Dance playlist
Next single will be released on Thursday and it will be Hottest Record on Radio 1
A really pretty Blood Records edition vinyl of this album is now available to pre-order!
Different from her but I really like this!
Shame it’s so short.
Really really don't like that, shame
GO GO GO is a smash in the making, oh my gosh!
Very different offering from her, the song is very POP. That being said, I like how she incorporated the poppier sounds into her sound and style.
That's not a sound I was expecting from her at all! I really like it though. Everything this era has been so good so far
Falling of Flying I LOVE
I’m quite here now for a new Jorja album! Can see it performing decently maybes another top 3 for her?
I still think she’s yet to really peak. I feel like we’ve seen shades of what we can expect success wise from her but I still suspect she’s yet to actually peak and the big “signature” type hit of hers is still to come. She’s a real talent.
‘Falling or flying’ is lovely but ‘GO GO GO’ is soooo good and deserves the success ‘Little Things’ got.
'Falling Or Flying' is another really solid cut! She is shaping up to having a great record on her hands.
Jorja will perform on Strictly Come Dancing on Sunday October 1st.
'Broken Is The Man' came out tonight in time for the album tomorrow!
The album didn't really make a huge impression on me but I did like the song with J Hus and Broken Is The Man. The rest all felt a bit same old sadly.
‘She Feels’ and ‘Make sense’ are the two that stood out from the album tracks, though I agree a lot of it sounds like I’ve heard it all before.
The singles are by far the best songs on the album, especially ‘GO GO GO’ which is up there with the best she’s ever done for me.
Most of this album is a pretty disappointing slog unfortunately, the first 2 singles were both great and I like 'GO GO GO' too (her vocals sound a little off on it but it's a punchy enough song), but then the other 2 songs she dropped before the album didn't do a lot for me (I do really like the lyrics of 'Broken is the man' but the song is a bit dull) and that sadly ended up being more reflective of the rest of the album. I do however really like the last 2 songs so it at least ends on a high note, stellar production on both of them, especially 'Backwards' which is possibly my 2nd favourite song on the album overall after 'Little Things' (sad there is not a single other song on the album that explores the same sound as that). 'She Feels' and 'Try and fit in' are the only other album tracks that stood out to me at all (and the latter is practically an interlude). The J Hus feature sounded like a B Young song
Jorja Smith has announced a reimagined version of her 2023 album 'Falling Or Flying'.
'Falling Or Flying (Reimagined)' will arrive on May 3 and finds the singer-songwriter and her long-time band rerecording and re-working songs written for the original album.
Teasing the collection of stripped-back acoustic songs, Smith has shared the record's opener, Greatest Gift (Reimagined), a jazz-leaning reinterpretation of the original ska-infused track.
