The Drake/Kendrick beef has reached a very hateful stage with Drake releasing 'FAMILY MATTERS' (with full music video) where he accuses Kendrick of being a wife-beater and Kendrick responds less than 30 minutes later by taking a leaf out Pusha T's book by alleging that Drake has a secret daughter before calling him a sex offender. It's kinda evolving away from a rap beef into something a bit more serious now.
Putting them both in one thread as they seem so linked.
Something didn’t sit right with me after Drake bigged up Chris Brown in his diss track then accused Kendrick of being a wife beater. I’m hoping none of the allegations are true on either record because it is grim but imo if even half of what Kendrick said is true then the battle is over, Drake has been getting away with crappy things that have been proven to be true for too long.
Kendrick has dropped his 3rd diss track in the past 2 days. This one is called ‘Not Like Us’ and he basically just calls Drake and his OVO signees a bunch of p****s.
Metro Boomin has also dropped a diss track now making fun of Drake's supposed BBL surgery and encouraging fans to rap over it with the best one to win a free beat of his
Honestly Drake is vile and while I like some of his music (at least up to Scorpion) he deserves every bit of this lol. He’s bitten off way more than he can chew by starting beef with Kendrick and rightfully so almost everyone else in the game will back K over D
I’m sure Kendrick isn’t perfect but he’s sure as hell better than Drake who has been asking to be buried for years
'meet the grahams' is INSANE - arguably the greatest diss track ever made, I've never heard anything quite so personal and scathing. it's hard to imagine Drake showing his face in the public eye again after this.
Drake = talentless hack.
Drake has released his response ‘The Heart Part 6’
'Not Like Us' has just broken Drake's record for the biggest daily Spotify streams in the US for a rap song (and the biggest for any song not by Taylor Swift), previously held by 'Girls Want Girls'. Now that's an oof after Drake specifically highlighted having better numbers than Kendrick on 'Push Ups'!
Hopefully unrelated but shooting of a security guard outside Drake's residence in Toronto. Unsure if Drake was the intended target yet.

Let's hope this doesn't escalate further.
If this is in fact connected to the beef (which I'm unsure of), I would've though that Kendrick would've been more likely to be the target since he is really shattering Drake's reputation.
Matters really seem to be turning for the worse
A word to both: grow up you pair of egomaniacs. Someone has most likely been hurt by your petulant one-upmanship. Nobody cares what you think about each other or who is right or wrong. Try setting an example, a good example, not a 2-Pac/Biggie Smalls example. Dial it way back.
Loads of people in the rap world hate Drake and this Kendrick/Drake hatred has long been going on. Not sure why it’s become blown up all of a sudden, but they’ve had beef for as long as I can remember.
Is it bad that I saw the shooting news and the Biggie/Tupac comparisons and the first thing I thought of was “I think I’ve seen this film before and I didn’t like the ending”? 😵💫😵💫😵💫
Lol Kendrick may be the critics fave but he'll never ever even come close to Drake's total sales when their careers are over.
The thing that's a bit irksome here is that there's really no 'loser' on the main stage. No matter if he 'loses' the beef, Drake will still get loads of streams next dull 100-song album, curiosity added in there, and I imagine Kendrick will too whenever it comes about as well as critical acclaim as always. It's completely taken over musical discourse and the tracks are getting streamed by the millions. It's a world class publicity stunt, but if it's actually leading to people getting hurt, it's gone far beyond that.
I think there is actually a non-zero chance this beef could cause real harm to Drake going forward. I saw a tweet the other day saying Kendrick has seen a 50% increase in back catalogue streams in the week after the beef while Drake's have actually gone down a bit.
Then again I really thought the same thing about Kanye's whole Alex Jones arc and he still managed to have his biggest hit single for years after that so it'll more likely just blow over and be forgotten about.
The music video for 'Not Like Us' which was recently released:
Hoping the inclusion of a new snippet in the intro to the video means it's not long before we get more new Kendrick music. Sounds like another banger *.*
(also iconic music video x)
That music video It couldn't be any better!
That new snippet does indeed sound promising, hopefully he might ride the wave of his success right now and drop an album soon!
'Keep a horn on me that Kamasi' Sax god Kamasi Washington getting a shoutout by Kendrick wasn't expected but is greatly appreciated x
