I've just been over to DS and wtf! the loon has posted up youtube vids of opera singers now, it could only happen in a Will Young thread. Just what sort of lives do these sad eejits have? They should p!ss off to the Leon When I said 'they' I actually meant the one with the name starting with "G" - sorry can't remember it now. But I did notice he/she had started several threads elsewhere and got no replies so maybe they are bored and need to talk to someone and get some attention This post has been edited by munchkin: 13th September 2008, 09:00 PM |

He was getting at me for saying I thought that female singers sounded the same. He wasn't as bad as some on there. A touch of jealousy because his wife likes Will seems to be evident.
I didn't bother to listen as I am not enamoured of sopranos. This post has been edited by Pearl: 14th September 2008, 06:15 AM |

I didn't bother to listen as I am not enamoured of sopranos. The only female singers I regularly listen to are Tori Amos, Carly Simon, Dusty, a smidgen of Dido, Duffy and the Sugababes albums, (without Amelle) it's mainly male artists for me and obviously Will is my no1. |

Very few females for me too. Barbra Streisand, Alison Moyet, Ella, Nina Simone, Dinah Washington. The only recent woman is Christina Aguilera.
Will is the only man who has the power to give me goosebumps. And I don't give a stuff if anyone else doesn't think the same as me. Music is a very personal thing and I object to being told that I'm wrong to like who I do just because that other person doesn't like him. Tough titty. Go and enjoy your own music and leave me to mine. This post has been edited by munchkin: 14th September 2008, 09:21 AM |

I was given a Pink album recently & was pleasently surprised by that one, but yes - like the rest of you its mostly male artists for me.......I think they have more depth but as has been said, its personal taste.
Do you think, on the whole, women prefer men & vice versa? |

My favourite woman singer is Karen Carpenter. She had a beautiful voice and it was such a tragedy that she died so young.

I've liked(like) several woman singers. Present - I too like Pink and Beverley Knight - can't think of any others at the moment. From the past Sarah Vaughan, Ella, Karen Carpenter (wonderful voice), Dusty Springfield and Judith Durham.
Men - Present Will Young and David Gray. Past Frank. This post has been edited by chrysalis: 15th September 2008, 09:26 AM |

Johnny Mathis, Ole Blue eyes, Sammy Davis Jr. Paul Simon - I could go on but won't None of them have touched me in the way Will does. (I don't mean that way either )
Karen Carpenter - how could I forget her - such a loss to the music world. This post has been edited by munchkin: 15th September 2008, 12:44 PM |
