What a tool Simon Cowell is, he must really hold long grudges just because Will was not a meek, toadying, puppet.
I hope Echoes continues to climb. If Gareth was so talented why is he not signed to Syco. Simon is just miffed because
the most successful talent show winner was not under his thumb.

Exactly. He dropped Mr Gates like a hot potato, along with many others. Alexandra, like Will, has been very wise to get away from Cowell.

Well this is a shock! ohmy.gif I never realised Cowell disliked Will so much, laugh.gif give the little grey haired man with the bleached teeth wearing the shoe lifts a reality check, no Simon it's not that kind of "cheque".
Will's recently released his 6th platinum selling album which went to number one, your preferred winner who you boldy informed us would "break America" and be as "big as Elvis" was dropped by yourself after his second album flopped, there again you also said Beyonce would never make it, rolleyes.gif you're a very rich man Cowell but who are you going to leave your fortune to? your loved ones? I'm afraid not as you haven't got any have you? I'm sure Battersea dogs home will be ecstatic.

I was reading Steve Brookstein's twitter this morning, now that guy really does hate Cowell laugh.gif anyway, he said that Cowell told him ages ago that he couldn't stand Will Young, then Brookstein went on to say " still wouldn't suprise me if he doesn't try to get Will as a judge on XFactor"

Wouldn't suprise me either, there's no sentiment in business and if Cowell had really thought so much of Gareth, he wouldn't have dropped him like a hot turd the minute sales took a dip.

Cowell hates people who are more funny than he is. Couple this with the fact that Will's far more intelligent and quick witted and you arrive at Mr C's attitude rolleyes.gif

Gareth seems like a really nice lad, but it was outrageous how much favour he was shown throughout Pop Idol. After Darius was voted off, I really wanted Will to go on and win. He burried Gareth in the final, the best example being when they compared the two versions of the winners single.

It wouldn't shock me if Mr C was behind Will's exit as a judge, but as has been mentioned, he's just released another platinum selling, number 1 album, so I think he'll probably be just fine anyway Mr C wink.gif

Just set my digibox to record the repeat.

Thanks for your thoughts BP. My mam and dad wanted Gareth to win but like you had to admit Will was in a different league in the final.

One of the main reasons Will is still successful today is because he saw through Cowell from the outset and distanced himself as soon as possible.

Yes it is everywhere and it's amazing how people take it as read that Will is no yes man!

I would have liked to see the Channel 5 piece but for some reason we haven't got Channel 5 +1 with our Vrgin Media package even though we seem to have every other +1 under the sun. sad.gif

It's quite possible the papers, as per usual, run a more embelished version that what's in the actual show - but at the end of the day it's publicity for the show, Cowel and Will...

Obnoxious? mad.gif Cowell detests Will because he's everything Will is not! And the fact that he's been successfully managed by Simon Fuller adds fuel to his rage.
