I just saw that on Twitter Also , I noticed Polish radio in Ealing , West London (huge Polish population there) played Jealousy this morning. I wonder where else they'll release Echoes. Jealousy gets played a lot on a Portuguese radio station, but I really, really wish they'd release it in the US. Simon Fuller could get him a spot on AI to celebrate 10 years of Idol. |

Like Margueritte, I wonder if there are plans to release Echoes anywhere else. |

I'd love to know how they make these decisions. Having some stuff on iTunes in the US but not the most recent stuff puzzles me. It all seems pretty ad hoc.

A belated end of year review, just love the analogy for Echoes.
QUOTE The 11 Greatest Albums Of 2011 As a bit of a forewarning all of the albums on this list are, at the very least, brilliant, otherwise they wouldn’t be on it. They are all worth parting with cash over. And readers, that is music well made. ROUND OF APPLAUSE FOR THE LISTED ARTISTS PLEASE. 11. Echoes Echoes is a strange one. Launched off the back of Jealousy – pause for the amazing…and continue – and a hype of reviews praising Will Young‘s move into dance, it came as quite a shock to many people that Echoes was not a dance album. There are moments to move to, oh yes, but the overall tone of the album is something much quieter, and more demure. Will’s higher range floats ethereally over restrained drum rhythms, deep bass guitars and a sea of synthesizers so subtle that it is sometimes easy to forget they are there at all. Certain songs emerge from the chilled (though never at ease) vibe to become standouts: the urgent Come On, the somewhat harsh unfiltered acoustic guitar strums on Safe From Harm, and the downright dirty bass of I Just Want A Lover. Unlike many entrants on this list, Echoes does not demand attention. It stands at the bar overlooking the dancefloor, musing a day’s life lived, surveying and dancing inconspicuously to its favourite songs, but remaining out of the limelight – and preferring it that way. But it is an album to pay attention to. The one at the bar you think you might fancy but can’t quite see their face properly (is this metaphor even remotely helpful? Probably not). Those who do pay attention? Will’s knack for addictive melodies and Richard X’s gorgeous production will reward them handsomely. How Many Songs? 13 Great Songs? 9 Amazing Songs? 5 http://musicandtoast.com/2012/01/25/the-11...albums-of-2011/ |

So, no Brits nominations this year. Disgusting to say the least..still had he been nominated he might have won..and this is this years trophy looks like something you throw a ring over to win a teddy.

It's very plastic looking isn't it? I must say I thought Vivienne Westwood's design for last years Brit trophy was a lot more pleasing on the eye. |

Thanks Sunday for such good news I wonder if he'll sing Silent Valentine to promote Echoes? as it's a bit early for Losing Myself, not that it matters much really, it'll be lovely to see him on tv again in 2012.
