If he's the oldest then surely Smoosh would be the youngest? Certainly when the song was made at least.

Oh and I am so taking credit for any success Tommy Seebach may have - many of the voters commented that they preferred my original version and so still gave it points!

Cal is up next, I’d say that it was fairly easy to guess that Moi was likely to be his entry - and one that is underperforming so far in my eyes. A surprise top scorer here as Nouvelle Vague more than double their points tally in one set of votes, a difficult thing to do this late into the contest! At the top it’s Ms Mr who now lead as a 12 from Cal helps them to go seven points clear of the two main challengers. |

My votes up next and I award my top marks to the wonderful Swiss Lips, one of the most joyous tracks I’ve heard since I last listened to a Go! Team album. 15 points helps lift Oliver Tank to a new high of, er, still outside the top 20! All of the top 4 receive points from me so not much change at the top end. My song, which was outed as being a Phoenix rip off from day one (well, I can’t deny it to be fair!), is very mid table so far. Tssssk. |

I actually thought Ms Mr 'Bones' was likely to have been Tyron's entry as it sounds like something I can imagine Tyron loving.

Unlike most rip off artists 'Gimme Twice' made me wish it was on 'Wolfgang....' rather than making me want to listen to the original thing. Great song.

Thanks to every one for their votes so far.
I will be very happy if Alt-J gives my first UP Top 5 and Ms Mr actually wins. Wouldn't be too shabby if VNV Nation wins either. WTF at Tommy Seebach though. Dreadful. |

That's the effect it had on me too, it would have sounded amazing as part of the album. (Actually, I have added it on a playlist of Wolfgang and you really can't tell it's not them! ) |

Poor Smoosh! And poor RabbitFurCoat! How dare you all pick on a group of girls like that! On the plus side, I assume Mark is extremely happy with things at the top end of the table as the current top 2 mirror his own votes. Not any major changes here really but The Concept (yay!) and Midnight Juggernauts receive healthy boosts in their totals. |

Smoosh really is one of the worst things I've heard in a while... sorry Mark!
Oh god, don't tell me I've got something else wrong... *goes to check* Ha, I wasn't going to bother saying but thought it a little harsh letting you short change yourself. edit edit: my badddd This post has been edited by 152chris: 18th February 2012, 10:02 PM |

WTF at Tommy Seebach though. Dreadful. I know very well their music. Believe it or not, I wanted to send VNV for the next UP (I thought it's too similar with Covenant, my previous entry). Opportunity wasted. PS They have better songs than Nova. Check this amazing song, Perpetual: (it's over 8 min., but worth every second. The end is f****** epic!) Will the points all be alright at the end? You did use Excel Dandy* rather than copying the results straight over to jpg files right?
