Most people probably thought he was mad to turn down a contract with Liverpool, but he made the right decision. He'd still be in our reserves at the age of 20 if he'd stayed Another reason why I hope we give youth more of a chance next season. Took the FA Cup and Carling Cup so seriously and yet could have given a few youngsters a chance vs. the likes of Exeter Maybe. I just think a lot of our youth team is overrated. Some players are good, but I only think Robinson and Sterling will make it at Liverpool that are in the Reserves at the moment. There are others that could. Problem is youth team players shouldn't really play if they don't have to. playing at such a young age generally leads to injury problems later in life, and they're easily singled out cos they're inconsistent. I dunno, depends who our new coach is. Which is why I mentioned the distance. Even allowing for that and one-day supporters it is still embarrassing for Blackpool. But Blackpool were in the 2010 play-off final, so a lot of their day trippers will have been and gone. Perhaps it's a bit embarrassing, but if Blackpool would have won the fans would probably have been making jokes about West Ham's volume of support. To be fair, I don't think Blackpool fans really thought they would win, whereas Luton fans really did think this was their season, and they'd finally beat York. Luton had 30,000 supporters compared to York's 8,000. Yet we outsung them all game. Crowd size doesn't really matter, especially at a place like Wembley imo. |

Btw for any fans of Premier League/Championship football that feel aggrieved by poor officiating. Have a look at this beauty, at Conference level. This was 3 seconds before the winning goal. I like to see it as karma finally giving us something back

That gives QPR a big problem. Who would want to buy a player who is banned for 1/3 of the season (1/4 if he goes down to the Championship)?

I missed 2 Norwich, 1 Sunderland and 1 Blackburn. 2 I should've got, one I never tried as I didn't think he'd played enough and the other I don't think I'd have remembered at all.

I got Wigan and Wolves easily because I've played as them on Fifa and FM. I'd don't think I'd have got a couple of the Wolves players otherwise...
There's a Championship one which I attempted too, got 178/264. Didn't think that was amazing but only 4% of people got above 185! |

I just started the Championship one but had to pause it (and then didn't bother to return) because someone kept attempting to talk to me in the house, GO AWAY.
Was on about 50/264 with about 15mins remaining, but I doubt i'd have got many more than 150, quite a few teams I'd have struggled to get more than 2/3 of, despite watching them all live this season |

I got 4-6 on the majority of teams but there was about 8 that I knew really well and got 10 or 11 (Forest, Reading, West Ham, Derby, Leicester, Burnley, Blackpool) I know pretty much no Barnsley players but I got 3 or 4 just because they had the same name as players elsewhere.

I got 11 on Peterborough As soon as I clicked on and saw Barnsley first on the list, I though "oh.....", remembered the keeper because he was at Peterborough briefly then I moved swiftly on haha.

Actually a fan of David Perkins from watching him a few times for Colchester, quality little player. Thought he was still at Colchester tbh, god knows when that happened

Haha Chelsea fans are pretty bad. Man City fans will be like them in a couple of years time, but unlike Chelsea, Man City actually have a bit of history pre-2004! Just put it down to a load of 14/15/16/17 year olds who think they know loads about football, when they've only been following football for 2/3 years. Some absolutely hilarious quotes though. Funny how delusional some people are!

They're pretty much equal really. Chelsea are 7th in all time averages and Man City 9th. Chelsea had 1 league championship, 3 FA Cups, 2 League cups and 2 Cup Winners Cups pre-Abramovic. Man City had 2 leagues, 4 FA cups, 2 league cups and 1 cup winners cup pre-Mansour.

Implying Chelsea didn't have history before 2004? They didn't have much, Man City had more. And they have considerably less than Liverpool and Manchester United. Then even less than the likes of Everton, Forest, Villa, Arsenal! The problem with Chelsea is there are a considerable amount of clubs that have more history than them, then there's the myth that the Premier League is harder than ever which I just don't agree with. I just find them a funny club really. They want to be taken seriously as a football club, but I'd be surprised if they are for at least another 20/30 years. The funniest part is some of their fans have no idea why others disrespect them so much! |

I've always felt that a clubs history being defined by the number of trophies won is a daft idea. Nobody ever suggests West Ham or even Notts County have no history yet they've basically won sod all between them
