Hey guys, there is noted to this thread Rob's sales are:
Over 59m Albums /19.1m Singles

Albums sales are clear, well, maybe 60m now, OK.

But what about singles? As you remember he has 7.700.000 sales in UK only.
I'm not sure he has more than 11,5m sales in other countries. 7/8m seems more correct.

And are there his sales in Take That? 4 albums + 2 compilations (can we calculate them too if he wasn't in band in this period?) + singles...

I haven't updated those sales in ages so I will need to have a look at them all this week when adding in TTC and Candy. biggrin.gif

Singles sales have always been difficult to calculate for Rob as his record company never gave them, although I do recall when IC was released - IE Music had on their website that he had sold 14M or 15M (can't remember which) singles. However I am nearly sure when I&OOC came out - single sales of 11M were claimed by EMI. Clearly this is way too low as his single sales in the Uk and Germany alone nearly amount to that. I think 15M up to 2005 is too high, although at one point it was claimed at 'Feel' had sold 4M copies globally and was by far his biggest selling song worldwide. I don't see where this figure could come from but it was a big hit internationally and even if it's peak positions were not very high (due to it being released after Escapology) it's chart runs were very impressive. It went top 10 in Canada and spent over a year in the chart for example. It sold at least 600,000 in the UK/Germany and France alone (GER and FRA sales are for a long time ago for with digital sales added it would be far more now). So it's difficult - 19M singles is most likely too high as I did add the 4M that was reported for 'Feel' - but I think he has easily exceeded 15M singles at this stage.

As far as the TT sales go - I think the two Greatest Hits albums should be included as he sung on nearly every track on them. TT sales globally are very hard to calculate - but including the GH albums I would say around 19-20M albums - and about 11-12M singles globally - bringing the total to over 30M records with TT. The total record sales combined solo and TT without question exceeds 100M. happy.gif

Ok folks, from the most recent OCC info, we have exact totals for a grand total of 2 of Robbie's 12 albums. However, we do know the exact total of his total album sales.
Therefore, I have taken all the most recent album sales information, and increased them in line with general itunes popularity, to provide (hopefully fairly accurate) estimates of his current individual album sales. The main question mark ironically is RKTVS, as, despite being his most recent studio album before TTC, it is also has the longest period of time without exact sales info. Here we go:

Life Thru A Lens...................2,091,896
I've Been Expecting You ......2,579,000
Sing When You're Winning ..2,201,000
Swing When You're Winning 2,279,000
Escapology.........................2,065,000
Live At Knebworth...................624,000
Greatest Hits ......................2,249,000
Intensive Care .....................1,621,000
Rudebox ...............................516,000
Reality Killed The Video Star 1,002,000
In & Out of Consciousness ......672,650
Take the Crown ........................83,508

Total: 17,984,054

Any information on Robbies album outside the UK and Ireland?

Looks like he entered at no9 in Greece last week ( dry.gif )
Greek charts have always been a joke though.

Those are disastrous figures for RW. Now he is obliged to join Take That again cool.gif . Who would have thought that 6 years ago when TT reformed......now Gary Barlow/TT are so much more popular and successful than RW.....

This album does not follow the patterns of the recent Robbie-albums for the time being, so I wouldn't call it a flop yet. It may sell slow for now but there is a lot more coming from it...

I imagine Candy appealed only outside his fanbase, that's why people bought the single instead of the album = huge single sales + bad album sales. Different may ballance the scales there, it should start getting heavy airplay by next week.

I think that's a tad optimistic but you never know. And I don't expect the O2 viewing figures to be anything to write home about. It's on Sky. Not the BBC or ITV. mad.gif

I think he will end up higher than no10 this week (no7 or so) and possibly stay around there for the next week as well. I have a feeling that most of this weeks top 10 will be hugely froantloaded (for example 1D are currently droping from 150k to 50k!) and will make way for new entries next week. But then it is time for the Xmas albums as well... Regardless how bad the rest will do Robbie's sales need to pick up during the next weeks with different and the live shows. Candy is still very high in both tv- and airplay which may delay any impact 'Different' would have for the sales of TTC.

Candy is actually about to get another top10 week and should easily become the best seller of Robbie's recent career. It has already sold more than 300k... a bit funny isn't it? Candy may sell a 450k+ total during the TTC era. laugh.gif Bodies wasn't a no1, Shame wasn't a no1, even The Flood wasn't a no1... and Candy got two weeks at the top wacko.gif Strange world...
