First Three Contests
Lithuanian Ten Walls propelled Ethanola into the final on their BJSC début in October (LIX) finishing in 23rd place with a summer 2013 Space terrace anthem ‘Gotham’. Next up in November (LX) it was the impressive 15-year-old Mexican bedroom producer and aspiring DJ Mark Veneth with his electro banger ‘Crougen’, which narrowly failed to qualify. Ethanola’s first entry of 2014 came from Swedish deep house duo Genius of Time with their seriously classy classic ‘Same Old Place’, which alas sank without trace in the LXI semi finals. LIX LX LXI |

Ethanolan entrant Para One came agonizingly close to sealing a second successive qualification, however it wasn’t to be as ‘You Too’ fell three points short. |
