I don't get this release schedule at all. So is this the official 2nd UK single? Burnin' Up for the US? I was really waiting for them to push Burnin' Up here but it never happened so I am guessing it's not got UK single treatment yet? After all she performed it on so many US shows and yet chose not to on her British promo.

Anyway, I am happy with this being a single, I just hate a messy release schedule.

'Ain't Been Done' and 'Sweet Talker' would be much better choices, from the tracks I've heard (even though the former has lyrics just as self-aggrandising as this, its melody is very strong and I could see it doing relatively well). I can't see this doing much at all for her.

Burnin up has been completely overshadowed by 'Bang Bang" that it should miss the top 20 as radios are not supporting it yet!

If I am honest, as much as I really enjoy the song I think the lyrics are going to taint this for her, which is annoying seeing as she didn't even write this herself. A lot of the criticism leveled at her is because of her apparent 'arrogance' and 'self-congregationalist' attitude. This will do nothing to endear her to anyone not already a fan, despite it being a good pop song.

'Burnin' Up', if pushed, sounds much more like a possible hit, to me anyway. If they try and push it as 3rd single the video will have been out for months and I think it could be hard to build hype for again.

So they are still releasing it as the second single? With that release date, they better hurry up and try and push it, get it to radio, promo etc.

If that is the case, why has this already been announced? This all seems too rushed, focus on one release at a time Jessie.

Personally I would have loved to see "Sweet Talker" become the next single, but this is pretty radio friendly and could smash once "Burnin' Up" is done (which is isn't, it's just gotten top 40 in US pop airplay). I do agree that the single announcement was a little rushed.

f*** yeahhhhh! LOVE this song so much. Quite possibly my fave since 'Price Tag' in all honesty. One of the better "haters gonna hate" songs.

sorry but isn't this a total rip-off of nickelback's 'rockstar' complete with even poorer, self-indulgent and vapid lyrics?

how many of these kind of songs has she released now? it's becoming something of a vicious circle, perhaps try and release fewer songs about the world being against you and then maybe the world wouldn't be quite so against you.

I struggled to pick the singles from this album but certainly wouldn't have guessed this. She should actual release Burning Up and promote it as others have said. I think it's a bit of a grower and certainly stronger than this which to me has the cheesy album track vibe.

'Sweet Talker' has been playlisted on Radio 1 as the next single even though she shot a video for this last week. Can't get to grips with this release schedule at all.

It's possible Radio 1 just made a mistake and listed the wrong song. Could be either 'Masterpiece' or 'Burnin' Up'.
