It's a cruel summer. Joined: 26 May 2014 Posts: 35,256 User: 20,947	Labrinth was pretty good, Ella was amazing, Coldplay were abysmal, the first half of clean bandit was terrible but rather be was great Anyone else watching?

Anyway that was a fabulous performance

It would work better as a review/concert of the year without bothering with the awards as there were too few and all the winners (Catfish aside) were extremely predictable, British artist had a brilliant diversity of nominees.

Despite there being not a single female artist nominated for Artist of the Year...? Truly abysmal concept for an awards ceremony, irrelevant presents and irrelevant awards. A couple of the performances were 'good'/enjoyable but other than that it was terrible. 2 hours of nothing.

Hopefully there'll be a good sales boost for the artists involved anyway, which I think was the point of the whole thing.
