Unfort xmas week is early this year so the xmas songs prob wont rise much this week and next weeks gains will be tempered by the fact they will all free fall from 25th dec onwards. Last year was perfect as we had a whole week build up to xmas day so had maximum sales for the xmas tracks within one week! |

As downloads were much smaller in 2005 I'd be inclined to give Shayne Ward the 313k as that was the first day of the CD release. Leona was indeed 101k for the first day on downloads alone in a stronger download market. Leon Jackson sold a mere 36,000 on his first day making him the slowest starter on the list, Steve Brookstein did 37,000 on his first day which was CD only. |
