Let's bandwagon jump shall we?
Let's start with One of the Boys the track, still one of her best tbh. Pop music at it's absolute best, most of that album should've all been huge singles though really.. |

Ooh you beat me to it
I think Katy's mostly been fine (she covered her tracks in Teenage Dream by releasing half the album ), although Prism has the most obvious one - WALKING ON BLOODY AIR |

Let's not pretend that Dressin' Up is even close to being single-worthy x

Let's start with One of the Boys the track, still one of her best tbh. (Also Self Inflicted and If You Can Afford Me) From Teenage Dream I'd have pushed either Pearl or Not Like The Movies (probably the latter) instead of releasing the title track legendary lovers > it takes two > by the grace of god > every other album track on prism > walking on air This thread is infected :S |

I'd say that Katy Perry pretty much got it spot on with the singles from her first 2 albums, but would have loved "Hummingbird Heartbeat" as a single, But as for PRISM, so many missed opportunities, she got it right with Roar, Unconditionally and Dark Horse, but releasing Birthday and This Is How We Do, were terrible choices, okay I do kinda like the former, but the latter was truly awful and both pretty much flopped on the charts. If she released "Walking On Air" as the 4th single, then "Legendary Lovers" would have been better as the 5th, and think that both would have performed much better on the charts and then even pushed for a 6th single "By The Grace Of God" for the X-Mas market maybe.

I'm Still Breathing. Pearl. By the Grace of God.
Those are my favourites. Her ballads really are highlights of her albums for me. |

Walking On Air isn't quite as 11/10 highlight of Prism as eveyrone says, but it (or maybe By The Grace Of God) definitely should have been released instead of Birthday. Aside from that and a couple of other times, Katy has been spot on singles wise.
Other exceptions: Thinking Of You (I love it, but I'd have chosen One Of The Boys or Self Inflicted, however they may have been too similar to Waking Up In Vegas which was of course released after that) Perhaps This Is How We Do (maybe I'd have By The Grace Of God instead as a ballad album seller, this is fun though) She has some brilliant album tracks (Pearl, Hummingbird Heartbeat, Self Inflicted, One Of The Boys, Walking On Air, By The Grace Of God etc. etc.) that would have been excellent singles, but it's not as if she misstepped that often with what she did release. |

I'd say 'Walking On Air' is the only big missed opportunity, before Prism all singles have been spot on.
