Well now I have the weight of my Q streak off my back I actually feel slightly FREED in a way. I hear the sound of a certain HIGHLY EMOTIONAL track that we've been wanting to send for like a year finally coming for its long-delayed last place in the semi-finals of LXXIV. The hype is real. Then when that DNQs as well I'll send the Arthur theme to LXXV and come back in LXXVI with a smash thus repeating my triple DNQ sandwich with top 5 bread of BJSC53-57. *.* Beaverdonia will give you 10 points guaranteed for the Arthur Theme to come join our bloc. That is all |

A couple of people seemed to like my entry quite a lot so I'm pretty happy with that! Thanks for the votes, guys! Indeed! After I DNQd with 'Shane' (the INJUSTICE of it all!!!) I just started sending the songs that I still loved but knew would probably DNQ. The only way is up now, Bre! 10s exchange tho <3 How many points did 16th placed song get in semi 1? |

The worst thing about this amount of Qs change is I'd have qualified last month with the same about of countries in the semi, boooo.

I've also had a semi 16th finish but that was well before the need for 16 qualifiers per semi |

Such an embarrassing flop, haha! It almost doesn't seem so bad when it's evident that actually nobody really liked it at all, rather than being a victim of wrong semi syndrome etc...it does make me question quite why I seem to love it so much when it seems to have so little appeal to anybody else Oh well, onwards and upwards! I liked it too and gave it a point but it seems to have been generously donated to isconia - in fact you got 17 points isconia 16. A whole place higher! |

not conciously, but if it's an entry from a successful country people are much more likely to expect it to be good and give it repeated listens than an entry from, say Singerpurear or another notorious DNQer! I can admit I've been guilty of it in the past and I'm sure most people are, even if they wouldn't care to admit it! Ah the truth outs! I will never get loyal supporters for anything I enter cos I deliberately make them diverse. Most countries have fave types of music that they stick with - not all if course but I cab n generally predict what a lot of countries entries will sound like within a certain range. sometimes they strike a chord with me sometimes not but I try to listen to all before knowing who's sent what so I don't bias anyone at all |

I wasn't last! Not shocked in the slightest that I didn't get through, but I am stunned Skall didn't get through - that was probably the easiest 12 I've given in a semi - stunning track. Haven't heard Semi 1 yet, but it looks like most of my votes will come from there as most of my pointers DNQ.
12 Tartford Sharon Forrester Love Inside I'll probably carry on because Tartford's entry is the best track I've heard this year and there's no way on earth I will ever have got to know it otherwise - and it's disappointing but I guess it doesn't truly matter if it has come 30th (!!). At least someone else appreciated it as much as me. Thanks |

Just the first country that came to my head when I thought of 'unsuccessful' I feel like I'm the same with the diversity thing although maybe it's not quite so deliberate, it just kinda happens! I don't have any countries that I can rely on to warm to my track, my top 10 countries to receive votes from is so diverse (especially that Zechonia and Budtar are my top two!) I've been thinking of doing that recently but I enjoy the big reveal of who sent what and the odds/predicta threads way too much for that! |

Not that it affects any of the positions but I gave a point to Espen! Erm, I'm sorry but I did not vote for Syndare! (that shouldn't sound as mean as it reads) I'm also certain I gave Seyetana 2 points which puts their score at 61 (oh lord if this means they've actually gone through) I also gave Sangria 10 points which would put them up to 18th btw I liked it too and gave it a point but it seems to have been generously donated to isconia - in fact you got 17 points isconia 16. A whole place higher! Should the semi final score sheets be checked again, or do they have to be taken as right, now that the final has started? Not criticising Cameron because mistakes can happen, but if there's a few mistakes in the DNQ section then there's possibly some in the Q's. Overall positions/points could be wrong. |

Not criticising Cameron because mistakes can happen, but if there's a few mistakes in the DNQ section then there's possibly some in the Q's. Overall positions/points could be wrong. I have spoken to Cameron over PM about this and he says he has fixed all the errors pointed out so far, so the full spreadsheets when posted after the final results should be a (closer to) correct version which will obviously take precedence in the 'songs of' thread when it gets updated. I expect there are mistakes in near enough every semi-final spreadsheet ever put together, I remember I managed to misplace Espen's 10 pointer (thankfully in a way which didn't affect the qualifiers) and I double checked every single vote I added to those spreadsheets! That error would have remained in history if Cal hadn't looked over the spreadsheet, who knows if there are still errors in there which will never be corrected ;o |
