I've decided to watch a movie just about every night and I had the idea to post my review on each one after I watch them. So here goes: NEEDS UPDATING oopsies
Watched so far Taken Frozen (first time) The Fault In Our Stars (first time) The Bucket List Divergent Taken 2 (first time) Maleficent (2014) Into The Storm (2014) Interstellar http://www.buzzjack.com/forums/index.php?s...t&p=5040448 The Hunger Games: Catching Fire The Final Destination (AKA FD 4) To Watch List Kingsman: The Secret Service The Ables Transformers 4: Age of Extinction (I may have seen before ) Edge of Tomorrow Reminiscence: The Beginning Who Am I - No System Is Safe Highway It Follows In Your Eyes The Maze Runner If I Stay The Penguins of Madagascar Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day Let's Be Cops Time Lapse Horrible Bosses Bad Neighbours Two Night Stand Rampage: Capital Punishment Project Almanac RoboCop Exodus: Gods and Kings The Signal Plastic Premature Dumb & Dumber Noah Someone Marry Barry Insidious Awaiting Release Please notify if any of these are released 50 Shades Of Grey (May) Dumb & Dumber Too Paul Blart: Mall Cop 2 Ted 2 Love Rosie (May) Taken (2008) Synopsis The film focuses on a retired CIA agent who travels across Europe whose daughter wishes to travel to Paris with a friend, but he is reluctant to let her go in order to keep him safe. He eventually lets her go and when he finds out she and her friend has been kidnapped, he relies on his old skills to save his estranged daughter. It is also the origin of the meme starring Neeson himself which has been used many times in different contexts for the purpose of humour. Personal Review Rating: Watch Again? Yes First Time Watching? No Recommend to Whom? Anyone who likes suspense and action/thrillers The film stars Liam Neeson in one of his most recognisable films who also played the role of Qui-Gon Jinn in the Star Wars trilogy, and I must say he really does fit the role of acting in this movie. His dedication to find his daughter is so admirable and there is not a dull moment in the entire film. Full of emotion and suspense, this movie is a 5 star classic This post has been edited by #OwlVicii: 22nd May 2015, 09:00 AM |

Qui-Gon Jinn in Star Wars hactually (not that it matters as he's a truly awful actor and the Taken films are also awful).

Time for my unpopular opinion on the taken franchise:
I hated the first one- far too violent, quite boring and so disappointing 3/10 However I adore the 2nd one and the 3rd one was very good also |

Personal Review Rating: Watch Again? Yes First Time Watching? Yes Recommend to Whom? Anyone with young children mostly, or fans of Disney animations I've actually been meaning to watch this for a while now and only just watched it last night. It was better than I had expected actually. I enjoyed the storyline, it had some great characters and had some funny moments too. I still think it is a bit overrated though, what with all the school bags, posters etc. but still an enjoyable film This post has been edited by Šþinniŋğ Åđɑм: 30th March 2015, 02:37 PM |

HALLELUJAH. YOU'VE FINALLY SEEN AND LIKED FROZEN What's your favourite song? Let It Go of course, but my second favourite is probably Love Is An Open Door. If you want to know, LIG has entered my top 60 hypothetically (even though I only post a top 40 with an extended 41-45 section this is only an estimate ) |

The first 'Taken' film is legitimately brilliant. It's EXACTLY what I want from a film like that. The 2nd one was absolutely DREADFUL, so much so that (+ the terrible reviews it received) put me off from watching the 3rd one. AWFUL.
'Frozen' is fantastic! 'Do You Want To Build A Snowman?' is so beautiful! |

If you lived the first and hater the second, and UV hated the first and loved the second, I guess I wouldn't be that struck on 2 either? Anyway, I plan to watch The Fault In Our Stars tonight since I got too caught up in plug.dj last night |

'Taken 2' was a 12A (not seen the DVD so I don't know if they have a 15 rated version - but the plot was so paper thin and generic that we can't blame the certificate too much)! The first 'Taken' was/is an 18 on DVD, which is the one I saw. Maybe you should give number 2 a go and make your own opinion on it?

The Fault In Our Stars (2014)
Synopsis Hazel and Augustus are two teenagers who share an acerbic wit, a disdain for the conventional, and a love that sweeps them on a journey. Their relationship is all the more miraculous, given that Hazel's other constant companion is an oxygen tank, Gus jokes about his prosthetic leg, and they meet and fall in love at a cancer support group. Personal Review Rating: Watch Again? Yes! First Time Watching? Yes Recommend to Whom? Everyone! Another recent film everyone's been talking about I had been meaning to watch. And I have to say, it was amazing! I enjoyed every minute of it, there were some sad moments in it as well as funny ones and I almost cried a couple of times. Great characters and inspirational quotes all the way. One of the best movies I've seen for a while. 10/10 This post has been edited by Šþinniŋğ Åđɑм: 31st March 2015, 06:59 PM |

The Bucket List (2007)
Synopsis Corporate billionaire Edward Cole and working class mechanic Carter Chambers have nothing in common except for their terminal illnesses. While sharing a hospital room together, they decide to leave it and do all the things they have ever wanted to do before they die according to their bucket list. In the process, both of them heal each other, become unlikely friends, and ultimately find joy in life. Personal Review Rating: Watch Again? Yes but not for a few years First Time Watching? No, second or third I think Recommend to Whom? Anyone who likes a happy film and likes an adventure! I had trouble watching Divergent last night, so instead I decided to watch this film, similar in some ways to TFIOS. Morgan Freeman played his part well, there were lots of happy parts to it and the film was overall emotionally pleasing, apart from his death at the end very inspirational to people who consider doing amazing things in their life before they die This post has been edited by Šþinniŋğ Åđɑм: 1st April 2015, 10:44 AM |

Divergent (2014)
Synopsis Set in a futuristic dystopia where society is divided into five factions that each represent a different virtue, teenagers have to decide if they want to stay in their faction or switch to another - for the rest of their lives. Tris Prior makes a choice that surprises everyone. Then Tris and her fellow faction-members have to live through a highly competitive initiation process to live out the choice they have made. They must undergo extreme physical and intense psychological tests, that transform them all. But Tris has a secret that she is Divergent, which means she doesn't fit into any one group. If anyone knew, it would mean a certain death. As she discovers a growing conflict that threatens to unravel her seemingly peaceful society, this secret might help her save the people she loves... or it might destroy her. Personal Review Rating: Watch Again? Yes First Time Watching? No (but I thought it was Recommend to Whom? Anyone who likes sci-fi/action I guess I thought I had not seen this but I recognised that I had after the start of it. The plot was very good with some great acting and I did not know that two of the main characters were also Hazel and Gus from TFIOS! (coincidence? ) I certainly wouldn't want to live in that future! Will look forward to seeing the new insurgent when it comes out This post has been edited by Šþinniŋğ Åđɑм: 2nd April 2015, 12:30 PM |

Taken 2 (2012)
Synopsis The retired CIA agent Bryan Mills invites his teenage daughter Kim and his ex-wife Lenore, who has separated from her second husband, to spend a couple of days in Istanbul where he is working. Meanwhile, the patriarch of the community of the Albanian gang of human trafficking, Murad Krasniqi, seeks revenge for the death of his son and organizes another gang to kidnap Bryan and his family. Bryan and Lenore are abducted by the Albanians, but Kim escapes and is the only hope that Bryan has to escape and save Lenore. Personal Review Rating: Watch Again? Yes First Time Watching? Yes Recommend to Whom? Pretty much anyone who enjoyed the first one After watching the first one and getting recommendations to watch the second, I decided I would watch it. It had a similar plot to the first, except it was about revenge for the murders of the original kidnappers in the first movie. I liked how this movie involved more of his ex-wife Lenore and daughter Kim rather than just Bryan (the main character) chasing after the kidnappers. Not as much suspense and action as the first but still a very good watch This post has been edited by Šþinniŋğ Åđɑм: 3rd April 2015, 04:17 PM |

A Million Ways To Die In The West (2014)
Synopsis Set in 1882 in the American west, Albert is a lowly farmer with a nice girlfriend. But when she leaves him for the more successful and handsome owner of a moustachery store, Albert returns to his lonely daily life of trying to avoid death. Then the mysterious Anna rides into town and captures Albert's interest and heart, but with her deadly husband in town, Albert is going to have to become the western gun-slinging hero he never was. It won't be easy because there are a million ways to die in the west. Personal Review Rating: Watch Again? Possibly, if I can be bothered to give it another try First Time Watching? Yes Recommend to Whom? Anyone who likes adult comedy I decided to watch this because my plan to watch Interstellar was dashed as it was nearly 3 hours long so in the short time I had I watched this instead. I knew it starred Seth MacFarlane who does the voice of Brian in Family Guy and Ted so I thought it promising, but after watching a little over half an hour I got a little bored of it. I was hoping it would have an actual plot by that time so I gave up a few jokes now and then but overall a little dissapointing NEXT: Interstellar (if I have the time) |
