American Oxygen is the biggest misfire of the era so far. That song, along with no news regarding a release date, her lazyness and the goddamn selfdestructing TIDAL promotion killed 80% of all the excitement I had for R8

My excitement for this is also at an all time low now. Like Ri, you were meant to take more time between your albums in order to actually make something GOOD through not rushing it. I thought this could have been her big critically acclaimed artistic turning point, like Bey had with 'Beyoncé', but it definitely doesn't seem to be so far and seems like her taking a longer break has actually done nothing to improve the musical quality at all. I mean I do like 'BBHMM' but its hardly brilliant. She could so easily give me something to stan over, I know it, but she just isn't and its so frustrating. Lets just hope something killer comes soon.

I was expecting something horrid after reading these comments, but 'American Oxygen' is brilliant!
 Not sure what you guys are hearing but if anything, this has got me hyped for the album all over again - dare i say my favourite of the three songs we've heard so far. 'Bitch Better Have My Money' was fun for a bit, but i can't really listen to it now, while 'FourFiveSeconds' i still really like, so that's like 2/3 for me. I trust this will grow on a lot of people if it is given exposure..!

It's a little slow but it's not awful and it feels rather well put together on first listen which is something I can level as criticism at the other two songs so far. Not blown away at all but it's not AWFUL or anything. So it's starting off at a better place than Bitch Better Have My Money for me.

It's not anywhere near some of her best for me but it's the best thing from this era for me on one listen. Each song has been better than the previous one so hopefully we've got some really good stuff coming...
