You must use the traditional Eurovision voting system (12, 10, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2 and 1 point). If a country had less than 10 participations between 1995 and 2014 then you must rank ALL of their entries but still use the same voting system described earlier. For example, if a country has only 7 entries then your votes will be 12, 10, 8, 7, 6, 5 and 4 points. Vote via PM to Conderella. You have until 23:59 Sunday May 3rd, 2015. |

Azerbaijan was quite tough to rank, one absolutely MILES ahead at the top and one way out in last, but the rest were all 9/10.

Cyprus is pretty close to flawless from 2006 onwards and 'Stronger Every Minute' is flawless too!
I rediscovered NOX the other week when watching the 2005 contest, really fantastic song. |

Voted! Cyprus really was impossible for me, my top 3 are all very special and it was so difficult to order them - especially 2nd and 3rd. I can't believe that some of the Cypriot songs I could only give middling points too when they deserve so much more!

This was not a prize round.
Good god - do we REALLY have to endure two Irish qualifiers out of this RUM BUNCH? |

I'd like to say that I'm introducing a 'NINETIES RACIST HOE' stat into this where I determine the average year of your votes, sum(year*points)/sum(points), and get the maximum of that.
Let's see who got that PRESTIGIOUS AWARD for the last heats: Andorra: Ryan Austria: Iz Belarus: Luke Belgium: gooddelta Denmark: Tim Finland: O Mie France: Alex Georgia: Iz Germany: Ryan Greece: Liam Italy: Alex Latvia: Johnkm Macedonia: Conderella Malta: Ryan Portugal: AdamAloud San Marino: Qassandra Serbia: Alex Slovakia: Iz Spain: Ryan Sweden: Ryan Switzerland: O Mie Turkey: Ryan UK: O Mie Ukraine: Johnkm Ryan slaying with 6 awards. nu adele of 90s racism ~ Here's the opposite of that award. I, too, have voted. Surprised about how good Cypriot entries are in general. Especially that incredible 95-98 run.

I do struggle to connect with the 1995-99 songs a lot of the time just because I'm so familiar with songs from 2000 onwards in comparison thanks to the compilation CDs, and especially 2004 onwards. I guess that's the same for quite a few of us, just more extreme for me!

I absolutely do not understand how any pop lover could connect with songs from the 2000 contest but not songs from the 1999 contest!

I think it's just about familiarity, I voted for 'Take Me To Your Heaven' for example (even giving it more points than 'Hero') which is helped by the fact that it is one of the rare cases where I'm already familiar with a pre-2000 entry. Chiara's 'The One That I Love' was a similar case.
On the other hand, I heard Marlain's entry for the first time yesterday and while I enjoyed it, it's never going to be able to beat their more recent entries just because I've known them for so long. |

Well in fairness I don't think Croatia is exactly dripping in competition in that regard (although my campaign for Vukovi Umiru Sami starts now!)

I can explain my 90's racism quite easily: Latvia's 90's entries were utter f***ing shit and Ukraine have been SHIT HOT in 5 out of the last 8 contests.

Even though Latvia debuted in 2000 and Ukraine in 2003?

Croatia only had 2 max trax in the 90s sadly. Sveta Ljubav and Marija Magdalena. Croatia is fab tho overall. Not as consistent as their fellow Yugoslavia partner in crime, Godnia and herzegovina (Putnici better be getting 12s from everyone btw. Just a minor threat), but still very strawng.
All I'm gonna say is everyone better get familiar with Marija Magdalena before Croatia's round if you want to continue with LIVING your life x Yes people. Listen to Adam. You have 2 weeks. |
