I saw him live the other week in London and he was quite a revelation, so using this complilation as a starting point. What other songs do you recommend I check out that aren't on here? I think he's brilliant live, I saw him in Bath last week too. He's always so different too, this solo show has such an intimate vibe to it while his normal shows have a huge flamboyance to them - but, as he said, writing operas for the past few years does not lead to being able to afford an entourage! Some of my favourite tracks that aren't on Vibrate... Albatross (from a compilation but really beautiful) 14th Street Beautiful Child Nobody's Off The Hook Between My Legs Bitter Tears Perfect Man Sonnet 20 Another Believer Old Whore's Diet - bonkers though! Natasha Rebel Prince California Foolish Love Complainte de la Butte Wonderful/Song For Children Oh and if this was December then 'What Are You Doing New Years Eve' and 'Spotlight On Christmas' would be good too! Thanks for the tips! Will search them out Yes, I found him to be quite an erratic performer but he has a great stage presence and a fantastic voice. Clearly incredibly talented. |
