Charlie Puth and Meghan Trainor are aiming to hold on to #1 for a second week with 'Marvin Gaye', however will receive big competition from Jess Glynne who is fighting to match the record for most #1s by a British female soloist with her new single 'Don't Be So Hard On Yourself'. Other big new entries to this week's chart should include Martin Solveig's 'Intoxicated', 5 Seconds of Summer's instant grat 'Fly Away' and Maroon 5's 'This Summer', whilst Pia Mia, Chris Brown and Tyga's 'Do It Again' and Galantis' 'Peanut Butter Jelly' should climb into the Top 40. The #1 album this week is likely to go to Dr Dre (whose album is still not available in physical format) or heavy metal band Bullet for My Valentine with their fifth album Venom. Other Top 40 contenders include Frank Carter & The Rattlesnakes' Blossom, Melanie Martinez's Cry Baby, Neck Deep's Life's Not Out To Get You and Vintage Trouble's 1 Hopeful Rd.. ======================================================== Changes for all future updates: Monday: OCC Top 100 + Radio 1 Chart Update 5:30pm to 5:45pm Tuesday/ Wednesday: Top 40 updates as when we have them not 100% guaranteed, also Twitter is your friend and other social media, OCC will have sales flashes on their own site, please always source them if you post anything on Buzzjack. I hope Calvin Harris can hold onto no2 spot for a third week - he isnt far behind Marvin Gaye song. Glad Jess is no1 - she deserves it!!

Honestly I don't have a clue why Avril Lavigne is that high unless its 99p on Googleplay *.*
I just added the new entries between Nos 11-40 in both charts, rest of the chart can be viewed online from OCC after 6pm |

I would be happy for either Jess or Calvin to take #1 this week. Also, it's kind of weird seeing Avril at #21 on mids after making a random #100 re-entry. Granted, album sales are very low but still random regardless.

I think Jess will manage to hold at #1 given she still has a decent lead on iTunes and the largest streaming days have been accounted for (Friday/Saturday). She's outselling Calvin quite a lot on iTunes and with an 8.5k lead, I can't see him overtaking.

Anyone know where Little Mix are in the mid-weeks? #6! Selena? #26, with 5SOS just a couple of spots ahead, so hopefully it can get a top 25 placing and a chart show play on Friday Still can't see Jess making #1 come Friday, she was only *JUST* outselling Charlie Puth yesterday. I could well be wrong but a 6k lead is most certainly catchable. |
