Looks like its going to take dynamite to shift Adele from the top spot for a few weeks since rocketing to #1 on sales of 333k+ for the week, the closest challenger comes from Ariana Grande with her new track "Focus" but even that won't challenge for #1, have to settle for a top 10 hit (oops already falling quite a bit on LPB's, she be lucky to get top 20... ouch). Further on, Justin Bieber will probably remain at #2 for s second week. New single releases this week comes from Pia Mia 'Touch', Lethal Bizzle & Stormzy 'Dude', David Guetta feat. Sia & Fetty Wap 'Bang My Head', and 'Ellie Goulding 'Army' with performances on the X Factor Results show on Sunday and on Graham Norton show on Friday. Years & Years might just nip the top 40 with 'Eyes Shut'. As for the Album chart, Rod Stewart is the most likely contender to shift 5 Seconds of Summer of the top spot with his new album release of 'Another Country'. Other new album releases from Elvis Presley with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra 'If I Can Dream', Guy Garvey 'Counting The Squall', James Morrison 'Higher Than Here', Jack Pack 'Jack Pack', Def Leppard 'Def Leppard', Jamie Woon 'Making Time', Maverick Sabre 'Innerstanding', El Vy 'Return to the Moon', Skindred 'Volume' and Erasure 'The Very Best of Erasure'. To keep everyone in the loop of all chart action please refer to the iTunes thread topic. |

It will be interesting to see how much Adele can hold onto in week 2 and if Ben Haenow, Ellie Goulding and Little Mix see any boost from their respective X Factor performances.

Looks like its going to take dynamite to shift Adele from the top spot I wish it would make a surprising re-entry to #1 tbh Hoping Ariana can get top 5 and Bamg My Head can get a peak that I won't be banging my head about. Years getting top 40 would be fab also. |

Elvis coming for a #1 album then it seems. I noticed a few Elvis tracks entering the iTunes top 100 the other day (and the album is also #3 on the iTunes album chart, only behind the '25' pre-order and a compilation), was there a TV special to promte this new album or something?
James Morrison's comeback has been so anonymous! You'd have thought he'd continue to have success considering the number of similar British male singer-songwriters who have dominated the charts since his last album, but there seems to be pretty much no interest in his new material. |

Yeah, it's absolutely baffling. Though I thought he was lucky to do well with the last 2 albums after their lead singles didn't have an awful lot of hype ('Broken Strings' carried the 2nd era in the end, I have no idea what carried the 3rd era because 'Up' hardly lived up to its obvious 2nd-part-to-the-former intentions)!

To be fair none of the songs he's released sound like hits at all so I can't say I'm surprised really by the loss of interest. I should imagine his album will still get a comfortable top 20 placing though.

I'm surprised he remained relevant for so long. It's obvious to see why somebody like Paolo Nutini (who emerged at the same time) has continued to do well because he his music has evolved and he seems to have a more interesting personality/more star quality.
It always surprised me that James Morrison managed a career extending beyond the huge debut and the follow up. The new music I've heard from this album could have been on his debut, times have moved on since 2006. |

James Morrison actually has a new album out? Blimey, that truly is a muted comeback.

Fully expecting Adele to be #1 all the way til the X Factor winner releases their single. Even if she drops off on sales, her streams will keep her on the top spot.

I've got all of James Morrisons previous three albums but having listened to the clips of his new album, it doesn't interest me at all. Doesn't sound very good.
