Another year done and it's time to unveil the new Top 100 for the decade over the next 12 days! The charts covered here are 16.01.10- 07.01.16 and the format will be: POSITION, TITLE, ARTIST, MOVEMENT THROUGH THE DECADE, SALES, TOTAL SALES (T/S) IF RELEASED PRE 2010. Thanks to Youtube, MW, Vidcapper, and some other sources! |

We'll start tomorrow but here's what we've lost from last year's list- a total of 8.
Meaning of course we have 8 new entries! In addition there are 72 moving down, 14 going up and 6 non movers from the rundown last year. There are two acts with 4 albums in the list, 5 acts with 3 albums, and 17 acts with 2 appearances. |

With album sales dropping every year I can see not really many of new albums entering this list by the end of 2019! Maybe 30 at most?

100. MESSY LITTLE RAINDROPS- Cheryl Cole (21-38-52-89-100) 512,500 99. THE E.N.D- Black Eyed Peas (23-40-53-68-86-99) 516,900 (T/S 1,607,100) 98. CHAOS AND THE CALM- James Bay (NEW) 517,900 97. #3- The Script (83-94-97) 520,700 96. ECHOES- Will Young (56-54-67-84-96) 523,500 Eight new albums in the top 100 at the end of 2015 and first up is James Bay who lost out to Years & Years in the “BBC Sound Of” poll but did pick up a BRITS to compensate and here comfortably outsells Y & Y in the most important poll of all, the tills. Not much else of note except the rest of the albums should all drop off the list in 12 month’s time. |

95. THE XX- XX (37-59-70-72-83-95) 530,700 (T/S 573,600) 94. TAKE THE CROWN- Robbie Williams (64-66-79-94) 530,700 93. III- Take That (NEW) 540,800 92. LES MISERABLES- Original Cast Recording (82-88-92) 540,900 91. A DECADE IN THE SUN- THE BEST OF- The Stereophonics (85-93-91) 556,600 (T/S 1,294,600) Take That score a bit of revenge of Robbie Leaving with their most recent album entering at No 93 one place above Robbie’s “Take The Crown”, whilst the Stereophonics prove they still have casual interest in their back catalogue. |

Don't own any of those albums, but I have listened to The E.N.D. which holds fantastic singles as well as 'Alive' and 'Missing You' which I love.
I see Stereophonics have shifted another 60k with their GH! I love a lot of their music so I'll try to remember to give this a listen/buy! |

What a comedown for Take That with those sales. BEP and The Script are among my unfavourite bands ever.

90. GREATEST HITS- Westlife (50-51-65-73-90) 558,900 89. GOLD- GREATEST HITS- Abba (xx-xx-xx-98-96-89) 560,900 (T/S 5,416,100) 88. RED- Taylor Swift (80-81-88) 571,900 87. ONLY REVOLUTIONS- Biffy Clyro (26-39-49-59-71-87) 576,200 86. I LAUGH WHEN I CRY- Jess Glynne (NEW) 582,700 More greatest hits of note here, Westlife slide 17 places (the biggest fall in this rundown) but ABBA certainly prove their durability with “Gold” improving year on year and should sell their 600,000th copy of the decade this year having already sold a jaw dropping 5.4 million in total since 1992. New entry time again this time for Jess Glynne who was queen of the charts in 2015, her album is home to 5 UK No 1 singles (in its deluxe format) which is impressive at the best of times but this is just her debut set. |

85. IF YOU WAIT- London Grammar (85-85) 584,200 84. TIME- Rod Stewart (64-69-84) 587,000 83. HOME- Rudimental (78-83) 587,700 82. THE MARSHALL MATHERS LP 2- Eminem (91-74-82) 589,900 81. MERRY CHRISTMAS BABY- Rod Stewart (71-62-68-81) 592,000 Six albums stuck in the groove this year and London Grammar are the first at 85. A Rod Stewart double here though his most recent album hasn’t joined us and looks unlikely to in the future, also the first of 2 Eminem albums appears. |

So ABBA is on track to sell over 800k this decade - wow! How much has Queen's Greatest Hits sold this decade to compare?
Almost 2x Platinum for Eminem's album is pretty good going given it felt like a rather quiet era for him - I know 'The Monster' was huge but that was at the start of the album campaign - a campaign which didn't really go beyond early 2014. |

So ABBA is on track to sell over 800k this decade - wow! How much has Queen's Greatest Hits sold this decade to compare? Difficult to answer really. The original "GH1" has sold 417,100 this decade but sales of the boxset GH1/2/3 are split in third and added to the GH1 and I've no idea how much that has sold |
