So it appears this is the single they are starting to push in Germany.
NRJ a radio station tweeted about playing it, and its been added to Spotify and iTunes aswell. I hope she has promo planned and this can become a hit somewhere. |

Well, I guess I'll re-pin this considering its success on the dance chart/being pushed in Germany now.

to #92 & #1022 on German iTunes. Breaking the top 100.
Up to #86 in airplay in Germany: http://www.radiocharts.com/html/charts_de_main.htm Things look promising that "Fire Under My Feet" could become a hit in Germany! Hopefully with the German album release date being a week later it means they plan on promoting in Germany then. This post has been edited by Envoirment: 5th September 2015, 10:59 PM |

I still actually really like this song, I know it's generally not looked upon favourably but I enjoy it and think it could have been at least a moderate hit for her under different circumstances.

This song really translates well live. It was a real highlight on the tour, Leona put so much energy into it. I was a bit indifferent to this but seeing it performed live changed my mind.

I think it could've went top 40 had they stuck to the original release date. But they released it a couple weeks early so it didn't have that time to build up some more pre-orders to get it there. Fingers crossed the lead single of her next album will do better.
Personally I don't think this translated well live on TV. It was great on tour and her performances of it were really great - but the live performances she gave back when it was released didn't connect and she didn't nail the song quite as well. (I saw her perform the song live at John Bishop's variety show and can say that she performed it so much better on tou!r). |

I don't know how much Leona performed FUMF before its first televised performance but maybe for the lead single of the next album, she should spend a few months performing it with a live band before performing it on TV in order to perfect the arrangement. It's a shame the era didn't catch on but hopefully with the next record Def Jam will send a single to Pop. I still think if they pushed FUMF on Pop radio then Leona could've had at least a minor hit in the US. |
